This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in San Luis. The food is not too cheesy or too greasy. The service is always good and the price is very fair. The sopapilla dessert is the best!

Small restaurant with good, old-style Mexican food in a shopping mall with easy parking, ok neighborhood, just a short distance from the freeway, comfortable. They also have margaritas, beer and basic wine. Excellent taquitos, refried beans, salsa, decent service, clean bathroom. A nice place to stop for a food and rest break driving north or south on Highway 101.

Overpriced, overlooked, dry chicken, too spicy and watery salsa, thin store bought chips. Terrible service. Maybe they were understaffed the night I was there, but I was not impressed with the waitress or the cook. The waitress gave plenty of attention to her regulars, but not to anyone else who came in.

I really like the breakfast burritos here — they are big enough to split with someone. Chorizo or sausage is a good bet. Lunch is great, too.

Breakfast burrito heaven. If you go during actual breakfast hours before 11? I think. The breakfast burrito it only $ 5.50. I always request no potatoes, add beans, rice and chorizo. Oh what a beautiful thing it is to pay about $ 7 for a huge burrito. The wait is a little longer than I’d like sometimes but it doesn’t really bother me that much. This is the one of the few decent Mexican food places in slo that isn’t completely over-priced.

I’ve really only had the breakfast burritos which is really good. They have a breakfast special for $ 5.50 bfast burrito. They also have a couple where you buy 1 burrito, get one half off. Perfect for a breakfast for a couple.

If you don’t mind waiting a half hour for an overpriced burrito with zero flavor, this is your joint.

I thought the food was good. I only had a cheese enchilada with rice and beans but everything looked and tasted fresh. The salsa and chips were good too. My only complaint is the waitress was talking a lot with another customer/friend and did not give 100% to the other diners. She would continue her conversation while delivering meals across the restaurant. I felt that the service could have been a little better if she wasn’t so distracted.

Very Friendly, but the food left a lot to be desired. Also I got this To Go and was given no silverware or napkins. Couldn’t even eat the rice and beans since I was in a hotel room.

I was slightly skeptical about this place after reading the reviews, but I’m so happy it did not steer me away!!! I apparently chose a great night to come because, this is the place to be on a Tuesday night. $ 1 tacos and $ 2 beers, you can’t beat that! I had the carne asada tacos with a side of rice it was delicious absolutely no complaints. They were not stingy at all great size portions for a low price.

Very tasty with great service! It is a great place and family owned and operated! I enjoy the fajitas and friendly service. I enjoy taking my kids or having lunch with friends at Panchos.

Very rude service and varying prices. I have been here multiple times, I always get the same thing for take out and it is ALWAYS a different price. This afternoon(5÷2÷15) I placed an order for take out. We went to pick it up and the order was wrong and not what I ordered. My friend has allergies to dairy and we communicated that politely. Instead of fixing the problem in a polite way the hostess argued with us. When the correct order was ready she all but threw the burrito at my friends face. It was so inappropriate, I will never eat here again.

Looking for a snack in San Luis Obispo and tried this place. The wife and I ordered the Monday special of Pastor Nachos to share, with the wife giving the food a tepid O.K. as to how she liked them. The presentation was good, but we both thought the food was bland and there was quite a bit of fat on the pastor meat. The nachos were 6.99 and there wasn’t really a whole lot of meat. Perhaps we caught them on a bad day. Perhaps other items would have been more to our liking. Perhaps we will give Panchos another try at some point in the future, but probably not.

Was looking for Mexican food and found this place. Actually tasty salsa, and the sauce they put on their asada tacos was super tasty. Decided to leave a review since there wasn’t much recent ones.

I have visited Pancho’s more than a dozen times because it is close to my office and convenient. I will not return again. It is overpriced and the customer service is non existent. I paid almost $ 12 for a wet shredded beef burrito which wasn’t very wet. When I asked for an extra side of enchilada sauce I was told that I would be charged 50 cents. Ridiculous that I would be charged for their lack of competence. What was even more disappointing is that this was one of the owners, not an employee. There is a reason why they only had 3 tables during what should have been their lunch rush!

I ordered my food to go, too fast, and got something other than what I ordered. Frustrated, I drove back and explained that I didn’t want what I had taken home. Branden, the to go/waiter/server, had the kitchen make me my fish tacos to go. They were absolutely fantastic and large. The fish was juicy, spiced, and there was plenty of lettuce(not cabbage) and tomato, just a little cheese and cilantro and green pepper. The cheese was a mix if mostly a mild mozzarella and a pinch of cheddar. I especially liked the spice dusted fish. These are not a special sauce and cabbage taco like some places(I like those too). I called them to compliment the tacos. I order out here, shop at scalaris, and return to get my food. Even if I am only five minutes. The food is always ready to go. The food is a four. The service a five.

Oh man. How people say this is exactly how a Mexican burrito should taste just confuse me. I’m from Tennessee, and this is what I thought Mexican food was before I moved to San Diego. When your burritos come wet by default, we have a problem. I ordered a Chile Relleno burrito. What came was an oversized enchilada. The menu said chile Relleno with pico de gallo. It was stuff inside with mostly cheese, beans, and rice. There wasn’t even a whole pepper but one tiny strip. And I couldn’t find any pico de gallo. My husband had carne asada tacos, And it was bland steak. It came with a side of beans SMOTHERED in crappy cheese. Seriously not authentic. The only reason I say 2 stars and not one was they were so nice. And they were Mexican so I don’t get it! Maybe they’ll read enough of these reviews and realize people actually want authentic Mexican food.
