Bacon cheese burger with fries for 6.49. Thick cut fries but crunchy and salted well. Crispy bacon on the burger. The burger was a little more well done then I would prefer and the bun was toasted, which I don’t like but next time I know what to ask for. It took about ten minutes to get my burger but that was all cooking time since I was the only one in the restaurant with the cook/owner. Me tv was on and I caught an episode of Hawaii Five O. It was nice to be able to eat and watch some TV at lunch by myself. The place is much bigger then I thought it was from looking from the outside in, but very cozy and a very friendly staff. I’m looking forward to eating here again.

I surprised me that I haven’t reviewed Happy Grill yet. Happy Grill is located across the street from the coca cola where house. It’s in an older industrial park . I had a craving for a burger. So I jumped into my whip White rabbit and rolled to Happy Grill . I was able to park right out front .i rolled in to the front counter and ordered the Bacon Cheese burger with fries and a Coke. I paid with my Visa Card. They have a minimum charge of $ 5 for credit card use. I grabbed a table and started watching Gunsmoke on the old school TV tuned to the ME channel. Talk about flashback in time. My Giant bacon cheeseburger and fried were brought to my table. The Burger makes McDonalds Cheeseburger look like a midget burger. My bacon cheese burger was fully dressed for success. It was yummy and the fries were good. You clean up after yourself and drop your dirty plate into a dish tub by the garbage can . Happy grill is a good burger and breakfast joint.

My Happy Grill offers a broad menu of breakfast, lunch, burger, hot dog, and chinese food choices at very low prices. the food isn’t fancy, the portions are adequate. seating is cafeteria style. order at the counter and take it to go or the food will be brought to your table. grill is staffed by persons at or near retirement. not sure if they are cooking here for kicks but i doubt it. eats: –1/3# angus hamburger(3.95) ordered medium rare got medium with fresh onions, lettuce, tomato, etc. –small won ton soup(6 pieces/2.25) came with a few pieces bok choy in green onion broth, no msg pork filling average. cheap! crumbs: –across from coca cola office in marina industrial district. –not too far from bonaire park. can come here and get dogs/burgers for kids(if they are open). –flavoring is neutral, flavor to your taste preferences. –open m-f, 6:30 — 3:30

Local cheap eats by my job that works with my 30min Lunch Break, hungry tummy, & watchful spending ;-) LOCATION: My Happy Grill in San Leandro(just 0.5 miles South of La Piñata) serves: Breakfast, Lunch, Burgers, Sandwiches, & Chinese Lunch Specials One way drive in parking lot right off Wicks Blvd. Simple seating for dinning in. CUSTSVC&EATS: Few of my co-workers have sampled their breakfast & burgers over the years, & never hesitate MHG as an option to their growling tummy. They take call in orders for pick-up, & make food fresh/hot. Good cust service. Eats range from«mediocre eeh» to «pretty d@mn good». I’ve only sampled their $ 4.75 Chinese Lunch Combos so far: * Teriyaki Chicken * Sweet & Sour Chicken * Thai Style Spicy Chicken * Broccoli Beef * Mongolian Beef * Steamed Vegetables MYRECENTLUNCHES: So far I’ve sampled their Thai Spicy(not really spicy) & Teriyaki. Both were mediocre to me, but hey it’s $ 4.75. Portion size was plenty for me. $ 4.75 Thai Spicy Chkn $ 4.75 Teriyaki Chkn
FINALBITE: Nice local spot option, but nothing to yell horay about. My next lunch visit here might be for one of their burgers!

I used to like this place before the new owners came in. Don’t get me wrong the new owners are very nice, but for some reason their food just changed. I usually get the chicken terriyaki with rice, but the past few times the chicken just didn’t taste good at all, so i always ended up just eating the rice. They also have Chef’s salads, which are good, but you just have to make sure they put everything on it, sometimes they’ll jip you on the eggs, or cheese. Some of my co-workers come here, because it’s always«5minutes» and they’re right down the street from where we work.

I love this place!!! I workd down the street from them and fell in love with their bacon, egg, and cheese croissant sandwich. It is delicious and they make it fresh for you right there. This is a small mom and pop restaurant with the best customer service I have seen. The owners always greet their customer with a big smile. I have also had their won ton soup which is better than you can get at a Chinese Restaurant. The chicken teryaki is very good as well. This place literally got me through my pregnancy! Located directly across the street from Coca-Cola Enterprises(my former employer) I would wobble my pregnant tush over there whenever I needed a quick fix for breakfast and/or lunch. They have great breakfast treats such as filling breakfast burritos, homemade biscuits and gravy, pancakes and various pastries. For lunch they’d have different lunch specials varying in Lasagna, Meat Loaf and Mashed Tots with gravy, Fish and chips, Teriyaki Chicken and even home made pot pies! The lady Suki runs the place with her sister and are great about making your meal fast without sacrificing taste. Prices are just right which made me comfortable coming back for more and more and more :) Best thing is. they take phone orders which is perfect for people on the go who know exactly what they want!

This is a «mom and pop» shop located in the heart of San Leandro’s industrial business park that’s got a trucker-café feel to it. The service is fast and friendly and are pretty good about custom making your order(if you require a lot of things on the side or off your plate). When you walk out, your clothes will smell like the place even being in there for just five minutes. I used to work down the street from this place and it was the only breakfast alternative beyond Denny’s and Jack In The Box. I’ve ordered their omelets which are really greasy. A word of caution, the food here is meant for truckers and those with strong stomachs. If your sensitive to grease and oil you may want to stay far away. This place is only meant for one thing, to fill you up.

My husband, who works for a fortune-five hundred company just across the street from this place told me a little story about his last experience there a few years back. He is an honest man and believes in patronizing small mom and pop establishments. He has been working in this location for over twenty years and had been frequenting this grill for many years. Apparently it changed hands a few years back and at that time had new owners. So, he went in to get a chicken burrito to take back across the street to work. When he got back to work and opened the burrito, he bit into the burrito and bit again and again and didn’t come across any chicken. So, he opened it up and there were two itty bitty pieces in there. So, he walked back across the street and showed the lady the burrito and very nicely mentioned that there were only two small pieces of chicken in it. She accused him of eating the chicken out of the burrito already and said she was going to have to charge him for more chicken. Being the nice and honest guy he is, he poitely said that he did not eat all of the chicken and that the cook failed to put any more chicken in there other than the two small pieces and that they needed to make it right. She said well you will pay for more chicken or you don’t eat it. He was pissed and said he would never, ever eat there again and that he would tell his co-workers to do the same. She shrugged and said, «oh well». So, please, please do not patronize this place. Obviously, customer service is not their priority and money is their bottom line.

I totally forgot to Unilocal this place! So, before I start, I can say I may be a little partial to this place because I have a soft spot for mom and pop places like this. Located in the middle of the Marina industrial district, there isn’t much nearby, so as you would assume most people who come here are passing through or getting a quick lunch. The owners are a mixed couple of korean and(I’m assuming) filipino descent in their middle age, very nice and sweet. The korean lady cooks all the food, and she’s just absolutely adorable and her husband is equally nice. They have SOMANYCHOICES. However, the cost and value for the food is quite good. They do breakfast and lunch until 4PM. I like this place, the food is good for the price, and though its not super fancy gourmet or hole in the wall good, its good for what it is. Visit sometime and support the locals! :)
