The one thing I have against Filipino food is that it’s almost always brown because it’s either drenched in rich sauce or fried or meat. I don’t think I’ve ever had a light Filipino vegetable dish. But I could be wrong. Meanwhile, at Little P I we ordered a bunch of meat dishes. They were all pretty good. Again, the visual appeal of the dishes aren’t that enticing. The fried chicken looked dry and tough yet after you get past the skin it was quite tender and moist. The highlight is any of the pork dishes.

A group of co-workers descended upon Little PI last night and were treated to a feast. Caveat: Lupe in Ops know the cook and the owner so we got a specially prepared menu. And it kicked serious butt. Chicken Adobo with a deep dark sauce, smothered steak with onions, lumpia, fried banana, yum. But the best thing, hands down, was the coconut crab and shrimp. The shrimp were a little over-cooked but the crab. People, the crab. I have never eaten so much crab and, if you know me, you know that I am still full a day later.
