I hate to get two stars without trying the food but extreme I was extremely disappointed with the service first I stood there and waited for about 20 minutes while the women behind the counter were talking and chatting it up after. They got done talking she stood up and looked at me I asked her are you ready she said yes I proceed with my order just barely short of $ 10 they quickly arose $ 10 minimum $ 10 minimum I explained I am a first-time customer and that’s all the food I want I do not want to waste any food they simply said no and turned me down I guess I’ll be spending my money and eating elsewhere

Large sized dumplings! My favorites are the egg rolls and the shrimp dumplings. Terrific prices and fast friendly service.

I called in to order for pick up! I was running late for an appointment so I thought maybe trying to call beforehand would shorten some time. I got there in less than 10 minutes and my order was packed and waiting for me ready to be picked up. I ordered 6 baked pork buns, 1 order of pork dumpling(siu mai) and 1 order of shrimp dumpling(ha gow). Both came in 4 pieces and in one box. Total was about almost $ 14? Everything was hot and fresh and super tasty! Luckily a few Unilocalers have uploaded photos of their dim sum menu, so that definitely helped me with placing my order. I wish I ordered the steamed egg custard bun as dessert as well as my favorite milk tea! Customer service was nice and prompt. There was a man before me in line so I had to wait a couple minutes to get my food. The lady at the register was nice and asked if I wanted forks for my food. Overall, my experience was pleasant. Personally I don’t like their vegetable pancakes or the potstickers here because it tasted mushy to me, but the pork and shrimp dumplings weren’t bad, and my BF likes the baked pork buns here.

Great hole in the wall, yet noteworthy place to pick up a quick meal, especially to suffice those late in the day cravings for dim sum! This place will hold you over until you’re able to get an actual fix. Overall, good prices. They also offer rice porridge(don’t fall for their fancy options that will cost you $ 1 plus extra; get their non advertised regular porridge), soups(mediocre), soy milk(add your own sugar & lots of it), & frozen options like their wonton!(The pork & shrimp wontons in my opinion are the best. The prices for their wonton have gone up, but it’s still worth it.) During their busy times of day(typically lunch, before dinner & during the weekends) parking might be a bit cumbersome as they share the same parking lot as the Food Net grocery store. During these periods, you’re bound to hit long lines, but most of the time, it’s worth it. –Depending on your hunger level, dim sum craving scale & how much you want to shell out. The later you go, the higher the chances are that they might run out of certain items. So go early if you can. Overall, a great little neighborhood dim sum establishment that is mainly suitable for takeout.

Like their dimsum, location is rather pretty good with many parking if you do not come at a peak time. Several Chinese ladies behind all the dim sum. Prices are decent compared to SF prices. This is my go-to spot when I do crave some porridge and dim sum.

Mediocre dim sum. Customer service is eh. My Chinese is choppy, I know a few words here and there. I understand it more than I speak it. I tried to say what I wanted(beef stew noodle soup), and lady at register made fun of me. Then I overheard her talking to other employees about my horrible Chinese haha. The noodle soup was yummy though. Flavorful. It’s cheap. You get your money’s worth.

Quick and fast but very mediocre dim sum. Chinese donut was cold, pan fried pork bao and chives dumplings were soggy… The only items that were passable were the ha gow, sui mai and rice noodles wrapped with beef.

Really Tasty Dim Sum and then some! Har Gow was excellent as were the fried shrimp balls. Their won ton noodle soup was really delicious, too. Everything came out super hot and fresh. The little one really liked their fish noodle soup and the teen loved their egg plant and shrimp dish. The prices are extremely reasonable for the quality and taste. The only issue I have is they kinda acted super irritated when we asked them for straws, to clean the table, for soy vinegar, etc. Overall, 3.5 but rounding up because the food is hella good.

I came here for some breakfast with a friend on a Sunday morning. The line was so long and slow. I ordered the pork and thousand year old egg congee, stuffed bell peppers, and shrimp rice noodles. The congee wasn’t that great. They are very stingy with the thousand year old egg and it was very watered down. The shrimp rice noodle was average. I’ve had better at Hong Kong Lounge II and Golden Sand. The stuffed bell peppers were my favorite out of everything we ordered. Pros: very cheap prices and convenient Cons: service, small place The service is very typical of Chinese places. The cashier is not friendly and rushes you to order and pay.

The lady is really rude. We ordered dim sum and milk tea. We waited for 30mins, even we finished the dim sum, there is no milk tea. I asked her, she said she forgot it. And I said we waited for long time, we don’t want it anymore. She is angry and rude! When she returned the money for us, she rolled her eyes!!! After we arrived home, we all had tummy ache and went to bathroom many times! I had never met someone as rude as her!!! What a horrible dim sum place!

Quick bite to eat after a workout and decided to eat solo for a change. Quaint little spot with some soup bowls and delicious dim sum. Simple and fairly inexpensive, to start I had the beef noodle soup and added three sesame balls as my afternoon dessert. Soup was a little bland and the noodles a little undercooked but it quenched my appetite. The sesame balls were flavorful and chewy. Not bad definitely enjoy the dim sum more so than the combo dishes. Pretty satisfied and didn’t have to drive all the way to Oakland. Good eats, and nice treats all in the village.

Average dim sum but it’s the only thing available in SL, without driving too far or to go to a tea house. They have congee and wonton noodles. I’ve never had any issues with ordering from them but again, I order in cantonese. Pretty extensive menu, have most of the local favorite stuff I order like the har gao, beef rice noodles, BBQ pork buns, shrimp stuffed eggplant and scallop dumplings. Their wonton noodles are very similar to the ones you get in Hong Kong. I like their congee or jook when I’m under the weather. Service can get slow, normally have2 people behind the counter but the one lonesome person Manning the cash register will take everyone’s orders first before packing up your order. Make sure you are not in a rush when you come. Took 1 star away for the slowness of service but it will satisfy my dim sum craving if I can’t get to a proper teahouse.

I don’t know… recently, i had the bowl of won ton and noodle soup and for some odd reason, i smelled ammonia… yuck! Then i realized it was the noodles… but of course, i had eaten about ¾ of it already which tasted fine… but why does it smell like ammonia… just figured it was me. This morning i bought 3 sesame balls and ate about ½ of 1 and thought it delicious… then it started to taste ‘different’…and again, im smelling ammonia and possibly ‘tasting’ it… WEIRD. If anyone else has had this experience, please enlighten me… my mom thinks its something they put in the rice or egg dough to make it more malleable and not uncommon… um, NO thanks… never had this problem before at any place except this one… hmmmm… — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – Since i thought it very odd I decided to google if ammonia is used in dim sum… then i found articles that in China they use ammonium bicarbonate as a rising agent where the modern, U.S. equivalent is baking soda…“ammonium bicarbonate can create a soapy taste in the finished product, as it completely decomposes into water and gaseous products that evaporate during baking. It cannot be used for moist, bulky baked goods however, such as normal bread or cakes, since some ammonia will be trapped inside and will cause an unpleasant taste.” Fortunately, its not harmful in small amounts and still used in other countries but not the U.S.

You can get a value meal here. It’s not expensive so you can order a million things. Thats great and thats what I did. I can’t exactly remember what I ordered but I ordered the sweetened gumball like tea, the shrimp and veggie dim sum items, and a soup and I wasn’t breaking bank for it. :) The shrimp dim sum was the best. I didn’t like the veggie dim sum because it came across as odd for an aftertaste. The soup content was decent, wouldn’t drink the broth. Many places don’t give a good broth because it probably adds to the cost and time to provide a good base. Most people want lots of hot content in a soup and don’t consider the broth. Well, thats them and I’m me. The drink was decent. It’s like a cafeteria setting there. People there don’t speak English well but you can manage by doing visual cues, etc. I would come back looking for a value meal. It’s a place to stop by for a snack or a meal. It’s right next to an asian market, convenient if you want to shop as well.

Okay. This place is always up and down. I thought this place turned around but I was wrong. I get that this is a very Asian establishment, and most Asian joints aren’t known for their customer service. But the workers here are just beyond rude. I came by 5 minutes before closing and they would not take my order. The lady kept yelling«we closed. Close at 7!» My phone said 6:55, and told her. «WECLOSED!» Calm down lady, no need to yell. I’m just trying to help you out and buy the last of your food sheesh. I get that the workers want to get out of there, but if they keep up that attitude, I look forward to a new food spot taking their place.

I had a hankerin’ for boba and searched Unilocal for a good place nearby that is NOT Quickly. Their drinks are way to sugary, Also, I want it made with real fruit and actually taste like it too! I gotta say, the boba drinks here are the best! They use real fruit and it’s not overly sweet like they are at boba chains. The other big plus for me is the dim sum. I assumed that it was going to be crappy for some reason but was pleasantly surprised. My second time trying this place, I watched as the grip of Chinese people in the back expertly hand made all the dim sum. It’s comparable to Chinatown quality(depending on where you go). What I love about it’s location is the ample parking. Also, there’s an Asian market and a Asian shop nearby. There are also a few restaurants in the area, if you want more. Be warned that if you don’t know dim sum or boba drinks, you may run into some issues. Bring an Asian with you, or at least someone that is familiar. A lot of the front line workers seem to only know limited English. It’s VERY Chinese. You’ll get the Chinatown experience if you sit there long enough. You’ll hear high pitched Chinese screaming/yelling and cackling. If they don’t understand what you ask for, you may be asked to point it out on the big high hanging menu.

When I was«stuck» at Oakland airport, my cousin picked me up and took me to this restaurant. She said it’s their family’s favorite dim sum place… I trust her, especially since she does not like Chinese food! Haha! I was hungry — hadn’t eaten since 3am — and after going through a traumatic experience(finding out I was at the wrong airport and having to catch a shuttle to the next airport and missing the flight home) I really needed some nourishment. Everything looked good. I was in Zombie Mode and couldn’t decide on what to get. Then I saw the signs for«porridge» — also known as Jook, or rice soup. That sounded comforting and easy to eat! I chose the Frog Porridge because I had never had that before! It was a good thing to get take out and have it at my cousin’s house because it’s a bit messy with the small bones of various shapes and lengths. The black veins of the frog legs are a little disturbing, but the taste makes up for it. I don’t like bloody, poultry flavor of chicken, so frog was better for me because it tasted like seafood! I ate the WHOLE container! Next time, I will have the dim sum such as chive dumplings and fried jin dui! Everything is displayed well. There’s convenient free parking in the lot. The service is helpful and prompt. Great location in San Leandro, CA!

I really love this place. When I’m in need of Dimsum, and on the go, this is my place! I know it sounds weird, but its been 2+ times now that I have needed some dim sum, and I’ve needed it quickly. For you Dim sum lovers, you feel me right? They have all the basics already prepared in the steamers, and a nice selection of buns with meats and veggies in the fridge. They also make porridge and types of noodles, which are a less than 10 minute wait. Make sure you ask for the items not in the display as well. GREAT selection of dim sum! TASTY too! They also accept credit card for charges of $ 15+

We came here on the spur of the moment because one of our fave places closed up and we also went to do some shopping at the market here in the shopping plaza. So we gave this place a try and ordered some drinks, papaya and mango drink which were alittle sweet but tasty, some steamed pork spareribs, shrimp and beef rice rolls, shrimp dumplings, pork wonton noodle soup, beef stew noodle soup and rice porridge. Prices were reasonable and food was hearty for a quick bite
