This was my favorite chicken wing place! I am so sad it closed. I used to drive from sf to here on a weekly bases. I wish whoever owns this place finds away to open up again

I loved Bambu Drink shop that used to be here. It took this place a long time to open up. I tried out 5 different flavors of wings so far. To make a long story short, they’re all the same chickens. Fried, then they put sauce on top of those chickens. I understand they’re suppose to be organic and healthy happy chickens, but they sure taste bland to me. The sauces are meh, I’d rather not have any sauce on them. Lastly, it’s just over-priced. The fact that nearby neighboring stores are packed with people(85C bakery and noodle place) while this place is almost always empty, says a lot about this store. I don’t know where they’re getting all these 5 star ratings on Unilocal, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re fake reviews. I hope this place closes for good and be replaced by a better store.

So I wanted to try this place out because my coworker was telling me how much he likes this place. I was super excited to try this place because I’m seriously a chicken LOVER! I got the Spicy Garlic and Saigon Alley and some seasoned fries. Waited about 15 – 20 minutes for my food to come. When I finally got my food got spicy garlic didn’t really look all that great. It was really wet and messy to eat. I like my chicken crispy. The fries were whatever. I’ve had better. I must say the Saigon alley is probably my favorite. It was crispy and a little spicy and sweet at the same time. Well it’s not really that spicy but it was still really good. The price was about maybe 14 bucks for 10 pieces? Kind of expensive. I don’t think I’ll be coming back again. I’ll stick with wingstop or bonchon haha.

My friend and I decided to make a spontaneous stop here. and I’m so glad we did! There are so many wing flavors to choose from here! We decided to ask the girl at the cashier what the most popular ones were, and she recommended a few to us. We decided to go with Kamikaze and Saigon Alley. and O M G. BOTHWEREBOMB. I’m so glad we decided to go with those two specific ones because they were perfect together. Saigon alley has a ton of sauces on top and reminded me of those sushi rolls with dressings/sauces. The meat for these were so tender and juicy, and were pretty plump too! Kamikaze was perfectly crispy, barely spicy(perfect for me because I’m pretty sensitive to spicy!), and deliciously flavored. However, I noticed there was less meat on the ones with this flavor. maybe because they’re fried? Anyway, these two flavors were the perfect amount of saucy and dry/crispy wings! My friend and I devoured them so fast and still wanted more. haha When you check in, they also give you a lemonade! I actually saw that check in deal once I got home, so I’ll be sure to redeem it next time :) In addition, they also have delicious sides that I want to try! Ones that really stuck out to me were the sweet potato fries as well as the gouda mac & cheese. The only thing is, for an order of 10 wings(you can have up to 2 flavors), it was $ 12… pretty pricey in my opinion. BUT it’s okay, because it was delicious so I guess I’ll treat myself to Wing Box once in awhile. Can’t wait to go back!

Overwhelming choices of chicken wings! Thank goodness for the friendly and helpful staff. I am sure that this is a family run establishment, but you can’t beat there passion for wings. For starters, there are two distinct cooking styles: dry rub or wet sauces. Once you figure that part, then you up against 27 flavors! I elected to try the crowd favorite: kamakaze, which was a wet, teriyaki wasabi mayo sauce. Sweet, juicy and great wing. My second choice was the Louisiana Apple rub, which was the dry rub style. Not too spicy, but the perfect dry rub! I paired my meal with the garlic noodles, which was a spaghetti past with a soy garlic sauce.

De-freaking-licious. Finger-licking, Eye-popping, Mouth-drooling… Chicken Wang, Chicken Wang, why won’t you be my BOOTHANG? We could surf in the Malaysian Plains or even tour the sites in Da Nang! Divine. How? Cause the wings here are juicy, tender, moist, and succulent. Savory Factor is over 9000!!! AHHH! ============ ~~TIPS for my peeps who don’t want to read a Unilocal Novella~~ + Try the THAIBASIL! Not Spicy, totally savory and sweet + Rewards Card here for every $ 10 spent + Small space, take — out orders come out fast! + 27 different flavors for you chicken lovers from the original buffalo, Louisiana Rub, to crazy Thai Basil and Saigon Alley(Flavor List: ) + WINGSIZES are seemingly bigger than Wing Stop’s but smaller than Korean-style chicken wings/drums ============ …Merp sorry. I had a random spasm rant. Snap back to REALITY! Oh there goes gravity… Noooo my chicken wing on the floor ;’( Wing Box took over the late Bambu(RIP my fellow Vietnamese brah). However Wing Box is a worthy successor to approach this busy plaza where 85 Degrees addicts and Sno-Crazies are crawling. Finally, a savory option to this madness! Yes the interior is small. There’s a couple of tables and some side stools for seating. TBH, I think the cashier counter is too big. The soda machine is cramped next to the restroom entry door, so only one person can be getting a Coke or walking into the restroom haha. But it has a simplistic, casual ambiance. I mean they sell 27 different flavors of chicken for God’s sake WITH many additional sides(fries and noodles) to compliment the meal. I know you’re reading the reviews for this reason… WINGSIZESARESEEMINGLYBIGGERTHANWINGSTOP, COMPARABLETOSMOKEEATERS, HOWEVERNOTBIGGERTHANKOREANCHICKENSHOPS(i.e. 99 Chicken or BonChon). Wing Box is also NOT like Wing Stop because they have a more variety of specialized Asian flavors ranging from Vietnamese, Korean, Singaporean, to Chinese. WOWZAWAHHH! The prices are reasonable and average for chicken wings. If you really wanted restaurant-style wings, these are the prices. Reality check on my wallet, amirite?(Prices: ) Also they sell a variety of DRINKS– sodas, teas, BOBA Milk teas(that I’ve yet to try), fruities, etc. I opted to buy the 10 wings choice and got 5 pieces of Thai Basil and 5 pieces of Kowloon Spicy Chicken for take-out. Both were good and definitely on point butttt… THAIBASILWASOUTOFTHISWORLDDD!!! They should call it Extraterrestrial Basil cause it was that good! The sweet, savory taste of the rich flavor of basil, nuts, and oozy sauce still linger on my taste buds. You must try it, no exceptions.(Thai Basil: ) They have a Rewards Card here for every $ 10 you spend, sweet. Card or credit, it’s all good to them. The female employee was super sweet and I suspect it’s a family-owned, franchised restaurant. Support your local fams! Service: A. If I am craving for non-Korean style wings, this is my go-to place! Hallelujah!!!
