Tortillas de Maiz con huevos was off the hook. The freshly squeezed OJ is that much better the second time around. Fast and Courteous service. No complaints here with this dish. Most definitely my dish here from now on.

Family oriented environment. Love the customer service! They really treat you like their«mijo» or «mija». The burrito mojado is definitely worth the food coma, but we mainly come here for their micheladas! Definitely one of the best in San Jose. Tacos are big and fulfilling as well! Haven’t been to any other Trines, but this is the one you must go to if you haven’t been to one yet!

I came to this location specifically for their soup called«Caldo De Res.» It’s a simple broth but very flavorful with carrots, potatoes, celery and beef. it’s similar to chicken noodle soup, but with no noodles or chicken. The soup comes in one size at $ 10.99 and comes with a side of beans, rice and tortillas. I suggest the flour tortilla. This soup is very satisfying when you’re craving for soup. It is also very filling and two people can share one togo order. This plaza is small and can be a bit sketchy at night time. I suggest going with another person. There’s plenty of parking. They do take credit cards also.

Love this place for a Michelada. I haven’t tried the food yet, but as far as the drinks and appetizer, Botana de Camaron, goes I definitely recommend it. The service is the absolute best. The owner is always sweet and welcoming, she makes you feel part of the family. Amazing service. Great drinks. Clean environment.

Pretty cool little gem. I came here with two friends for early Sunday eats. They served me the biggest bowl of menudo I’ve ever had. And although I gave it a valiant effort, I couldn’t finish it lol. But it was delicious! Good drinks, good service. It was clean and better than what I expected. I’ll be back!

Just over 3.5 stars but not quite 4 but rounding up it takes 4 stars. I ordered«camarones a la diabla» and they really felt short on the spicy flavor. I’ve had this same dish at least 50 times if not more in my life. It is sauteed shrimp in a paste like spicy sauce, a side of chopped lettuce salad, soupy refried beans, and Mexican rice. Well here the sauce was watery and not spicy for my taste. My shrimp was over cooked which was a bummer; however the salad was very fresh and yummy. The Mexican rice was cooked unevenly some bites were of raw rice, and No beans which for me was ok since i don’t eat beans anyways. Overall my dish was lacking taste. I ordered flour tortillas to go with my dish and got 2 that’s right just two tortillas that were just warmed instead of cooked. What I did love was that my dish came with fries I love French fries and seeing fries on my dish made my day. The service here is good we immediately got someone at our table with chips and salsa she took our drink order and came back promptly to take our food order. The wait time to get the food was about average. The overall experience was good and i still have to try the micheladad everyone writes about so I believe I might give this place a second chance one of these days.

By far the BESTMEXICAN spot on the south side of San jose I’ve been to. Definitely a hole in the wall. I LOVE the chavelas! I don’t love beer but these are a MUSTHAVE. CLOSEDONMONDAYS so come any day other than that. Way better than burrito factory. Family owned. Not usually busy so easy seating. The location isn’t the greatest but who cares when u got good food. I’ve been coming here a few years they never fail me other than Mondays when I wish they were open. It’s not CASH only so no worries there.

I’ve been to all the Trine’s restaurants this Trine’s does not get phone orders right. Every time we call ahead for take out they have to take the order again. Don’t know why we call. We always have to wait longer. Also their menu’s are different from the other Trine’s. They say all the restaurants are the same. This is not true. Went to #3 and asked questions regarding #6 and was told something different.

Went here this past Monday. Gross is being nice. I had the Chiliquiles and I took one bite and couldn’t eat it. All they did was dump all the red hot sauce they use in with tortillas and called that Chiliquile’s. It was inedible no flavor just chili hot yuck. My niece had the enchiladas and they were just ok and her daughter had a burrito same thing. If you want Mexican food go some where else don’t waste your money here its AWFUL.

This place looks like an authentic Mexican restaurant. I ordered a Super Burrito Carne asada and it was great. Paid like $ 10 – 11 for it, when I saw it it made every other super burrito i had look skimpy. You could feed 2 people with it. Will go back.

Cash only! So make sure you bring cash only. The food at Trines reminds me of your neighbors home style Mexican food. unassuming and quaint we spent a few hours at Trines for our wonderful friends bday. I had the steak simmered in tomato and onion and my friend had the chimichangas. I enjoyed the salsa and chips as we listened to our friends blast the karaōke machine that he had set up in the back . The food here is good, nothing spectacular but is a solid and easy to eat meal. Parking can get rough of Sunday’s because of Church so you will have to navigate a bit to find a spot. Again, bring cash because they don’t take anything else.

I usually get the Caldo Res(beef soup) and its terrific. But this last Sunday Monring and just wanted some ham and eggs. I was very dissatified with the ham on my plate. It was 3 pieces of ham that you would make a sandwich with. I did n’t even eat the ham. My daughter had the Pozale and she said that was good.
