Better know as «the Dave Cortese Crime Trail & Homeless Camp». This trail is dangerous. It is just a new«Jungle» homeless camp from Quimby Rd. to Aborn Rd. Be careful, they stalk you as you walk the trail. Some of them are drug addicts and mentally unstable people. The creek is full of trash from the homeless and much of it smells like an outhouse because they poop all over the place. The City will not«limb up» trees or remove brush they build their camps in. Crime in the area increased dramatically following the closing of the«Jungle» camp, it even increased 20 times what it had been at Eastridge Shopping Mall across the street.

This place has definitely changed over the years. The poor wildlife barely had any swimming room for awhile until the city finally cleaned up the creek. I wish they could invest more into beautifying it and making it a place people would want to stroll in with their families.

I’m about to walk this trail one day with some friends and we saw a snake and didn’t know if it was dead or alive. We didn’t end up going for a walk. The creek looks dirty. But I always pass by this place.
