I can’t believe there isn’t a business page open for this place yet. Surely anyone crazy enough to conquer the hill and back from the Silver Creek Valley side deserves a check-in here… it’s a good 4-mile path to and fro. The closest check-in is The Ranch Golf Course which had to suffice the last 2 workouts. To me that doesn’t hold much sustenance other than a checkpoint; the whole route is a monster in and of itself. You should save your energy walking up from the east side because it has the steepest incline. I made the mistake of jogging as a warm-up and paid for it going up. It is definitely NOT a good idea to stop at the middle of the first climb, it’ll make the rest of your journey that much worse. See the pictures for the Hill Top Ln/Ranch Golf Club markings that signal the midway point. Long story short, the 2nd half heading towards Hwy 101 is the least of your worries, it’s the walk back that’ll trouble you after getting winded from the first full bump. So water up, stretch your legs and muster up that can-do attitude because it’ll all be worth it for the view and sense of accomplishment at the top. The effort’s not cheap but the reward is so worth it.
