Seems to have changed names, but still there in the back of the convenience /liquor store. $ 1.75 tacos, quick and tasty, hit the spot. Glad I found it!

So ya little places like this are always super surprising, not very pretty but the food is as real as it gets. The meat is always consistent probably just because their always so busy and all the food gets cycled through regularly makes me feel really good about the quality so im Unilocaling to help this little place out«Taqueria La Chacha» got to make sure places like this stay around! Good food at a low price couldn’t beat it with a stick. Thanks again for the great deals be in soon Mike

ok so I’m not sure if they moved or why Unilocal says it’s closed but they are still at the corner on Willow St. their address is 252 Willow St. I did notice liquor behind the cash register and options for drinks and beer but that is as much as what is left of the convenience store, it’s pretty much just a taqueria and alcohol place now. now to the tacos… LOVELOVELOVE the small tortilla, flavoring of the meat and the price! yeah the place is ugly but I don’t care specially since I always get my order to go. I love tacos and this place is one of my favorites along with Metro Balderas(which is in the same neighborhood) and Tacos el Paisa on Senter Rd.

It’s hard to beat the 99 cent/taco price here. You walk into what is a market with a taqueria in the back. Decent tripa and asada, though there are tons of taquerias in the area for the other meats. Order at the register and hand the ticket over to the cook, who busts out your meal in a few min. Very small space and little ambiance but it’s hard to argue with the price.

I haven’t had anything at chacha that I didn’t like. I’ve had their burritos, quesillas, tortas, and of course those great dollar tacos. The first time I went to chacha it was a miss because I didn’t know what to order. FYI it’s all in the meat, CARNEASADA all the way!

$ 0.99 cent tacos at a CLEAN convenience store in San Jose. Yup. Be still my Latin heart. Taco Quest SJ– 4.5 Tacos: $ 0.99 each Seating: YES3 small tables that seat 4. Credit Cards Accepted Size: Small 2 tortillas Good for Groups: Yes of 4 or less. Parking: Yes, on the street and walk. Order at the window, and pick up at the grill. The tortilla was dipped in oil and loaded with plenty of meat on top. Carne Asada was tasty and moist. Cheap tacos indeed. Might be a little on the oily side for carne, but the chicken ones were just right. The cube said they were better, and a little healthier. Ambiance: Kitty corner from the El Chalateco, this taco spot is right in the center of Latin Town. Service was decent, and love that the have snacks everywhere. I didn’t see any tamarindo… or other aguas frescas, and the burrito price has gone up from 4 to 5 bucks. Go figure. Happy hunting!

I love this place. I lived in the area when I was little and the spot wasnt here but after coming back I tried it out. The tacos arent anything super special but the allure is that its 1 dollar and also is a convenience store. The al pastor, and carne asada tacos are my favorite. Everyone should try this place out.

What a great name! Plenty to dance about at this fine establishment. Taqueria within a convenience store, how genius is that? You’ve got cheap real food along with your snack foods and alcohol. Cheap, hungry, and craving a beer? Your answers are here!

Ever since I read the first three reviews… I’ve been craving this freakin’ place… I didn’t have the address to the place. All I knew was that this liquor store/taqueria was off of Willow… I drove along Willow hoping that this place wouldn’t be so hard to find… and right before my eyes on a bright yellow wall exclaimed the words TACOS $.99 … I knew I had reached my destination. Going on you get exactly what you expect. A hole in the wall taqueria placed inside a neighborhood liquor store. FANTASTIC. Don’t take your food to go. Eat it inside! Enjoy the ambience of liquor, potato chips, and fabric softener. I enjoy carne tacos but had to try a chorizo taco. I fell in love at first bite. Bits of chorizo cut into pieces and cooked until crisp! And topped with cilantro and onion. Simple but delicious. These tacos are a steal at only .99! Your wallets will love you for it! BTW, the lady at the counter was very nice. She liked the watch I was wearing. Nice and has a great sense of style! A sexy lady on the menu. Cheap ass tacos. What more can you ask for?(Beside more tacos!)

To add to Eli’s review: Where else will you go to get Coca Cola with Sugar(instead of corn syrup) and a dollar taco? Where else will you go to get fart bombs and a dollar taco? Where else will you go to get dollar mexican rice pudding ice cream and a dollar taco? What has 2 thumps and loves dollar tacos, this guy right here!
