Original assessment: Food is on par for casual sushi restaurant. Food is neither bad or great, service is neither bad nor great. After 12 +/-visits: overpriced for what you get. All you can eat lunch $ 22.95 All you can eat dinner $ 28.95 Too much $ for the quality you get!

We have come here for over 6 years but the service has really become crap! We came the other day and it wasn’t even busy, yet it took a half hour till the waiter came to take our order. We ordered a roll each and told him we’d order more after the first roll. … Almost an hour later and the waiters are flying past us and ignoring us as we try to get their attention. Finally I flag one down and start to order… Mid sentence he just walks away from me! What the Hell is wrong with their wait staff??? I got up and told the waiter we wouldn’t be ordering anymore and to get my check immediately. I dont get an apology or anything. What a joke for staff, I’d fire all the waiters here they are worthless. I won’t be coming here anymore and I’ll tell all my friends about the ridiculous excuse for service. I’d rather spend more money and go to Mizu Sushi. The food is better and the staff is amazing at Mizu.

Food is ok, not the greatest sushi but a decent price for all you can eat. Service is very inconsistent. Some servers are really good and others are super rude. Also, hours listed are incorrect and we were treated very rudely when we went to eat there. Variety of food offered is also decent. Highlights include their hot tea and miso soup. One negative is that they put sauce on EVERYTHING and at times it can be a bit much. Overall not bad. If you’re looking for amazing sushi, try somewhere else. If you’re looking for a ton of sushi and want to take advantage of decent pricing, this is your spot.

Good food, poor service. Went here to have dinner. I ordered an extra roll to bring home at the start of our meal. Halfway through our meal, the waiter checks in and asks if we want our to-go order to be prepared and I tell him yes. Around 20 minutes later, we asked for the check. I followed up with another waiter about our to go order because we still hadn’t gotten it. Had to wait around 15 more minutes for our food to come out. If y’all are gonna eat here, grab a Golden Dragon Roll to go!

My favorite sushi joint by far for 4 reasons. Reason #1, cause it so close to home. Reason #2, cause it so dam good… Reason #3 cause they got the best baked mussels in town. Reason #4 cause I loooove sushi so much!!!

So a sushi all you can eat I’m not expecting super high quality. It was definitely acceptable sushi for the price. They are very friendly and sushi tasted pretty good. I would return but the best was dessert! Mochi ice cream which was a recommendation from the server.

My favorite all you can eat sushi place in the whole Bay Area! I drive from San Francisco to San Jose just to eat here! Love all their rolls and their appetizers. They are not stingy at all with the amount of food they give you and just hope you finish eating it all. Waitress even gave us free dessert. Literally the best sushi I have had, especially their mango rolls, I die just thinking about them! Must come here to get your sushi fix and it’s inexpensive as well for all you can eat.

My husband had fond memories of this place, so, against my better judgement, I agreed to go. You can call me a sushi snob if you want to but, in my book, all-you-can-eat usually does not equate quality. There is absolutely nothing fresh about this place. My California roll had brown avocado in it. Ugh. Really, that’s all you need to know. For me… brown avocado is a deal breaker. That and not cleaning out the poop shot of a shrimp. Nope, not having it.

I used to live closer to sushi factory so i used to go more often. I was recently in SJ and we decided to get dinner there the other night. Food was still great and we went with all you can eat so we did our best to get our moneys worth. Much of the menu is based of the cali roll but they still have decent selection of sushi. They have club which gets you some discounts so if you go a lot you can get some pretty good deals. Their staff is still friendly and attentive. When i dont have the kids i always sit at the bar, i always find the visit more fun.

Hmmm. Not really sure how to rate this one. Stumbled upon it because we parked in front of here to go to the restaurant next door(persian place) — but we had actually been craving sushi and fell back to the persian place because our sushi place of choice had a 45 minute wait. ;) I didn’t know this is an all you can eat place before we entered, and they do allow you to not have the whole table do AYCE which I appreciated. I did the ACYE and my husband ordered off the menu — chicken teriyaki entrée($ 12). It was okay — not the best sauce, not the biggest portion, but ok. My AYCE was $ 26, and they charged my toddler $ 4 to share the AYCE with me. They make all the sushi to order, and said 3 items per round. There were appetizers, nigiri, hand rolls and big maki rolls as well. Lots of options. Sushi quality was mediocre. I didn’t care for a couple of the nigiri, and none of the rolls were perfect. I didn’t order a ton though, so I can’t evaluate it as thoroughly as other places. Would I return? Maybe? I much prefer Kenzo, but the waits there can be crazy. Sushi Factory was definitely less crowded. ;) SF did have more deep fried rolls than Kenzo(but I didn’t order any of them).

I am not one for negative reviews, but boy, how the mighty have fallen. I have come here at least a dozen times since I can order online, but half the time when I show up at the prescribed time, my order hasn’t even started. And the final straw was when I selected cash for payment method, realized I needed to pay with a credit card, and they refused to take my payment even though they do indeed take credit cards. Because even though pizza delivery guys can take credit cards at customer’s houses by making a phone call back in the 90’s, this technology is not available at Sushi Factory. Or they are rude as everyone else has said on here. Seriously, if you are in a bad neighborhood, your restaurant is 90% empty in prime time, your sushi(both buffet and a la carte) is mediocre at best, your restaurant is dirty and your staff is both impolite and incompetent… how are you still in business? Don’t come here. San Jose has many better places for both all-you-can-eat sushi and online ordering. Let this restaurant die the slow death it deserves like its sister location in Milpitas.

I’d probably give this place somewhere between 3.5 to 4. to me you can’t compare AYCE sushi to a place like TGI sushi or any other place that charges a lot more for highly quality sashimi. Anyway location wise is good… plenty of parking and the ambiance was pretty good when we arrived. For us its about 26 for the AYCE and they charge for tea as well. We mostly focused on the nigiri since we wanted to get our money’s worth but we also tried the hand rolls and lion king roll. Overall I didn’t see any issue with the quality of the sashimi and they weren’t stingy with the amount of fish per rice ratio. Staff was fine too and for a monday night there were plenty of staff to help your needs. Restroom seemed fine too so i guess it really depends on if they cleaned it or not. Overall, if your real hungry and want moderate to good sashimi/sushi rolls check this place out.

Came here with high expectations. Heard good reviews from my coworkers and decided to come here one night instead of my usual AYCE Sushi spot-on KENZO’S. After my experience I can honestly say I’m never coming back. My first impression was that the service was not going to be good. The waiter, a middle aged Chinese woman was incredibly rude. Supposedly you can only 3 items per person at a time. At kenzo’s they do not have this rule. She continued to restate their policy and actually erased my choice of rolls on their menu sheet. Not only was she rude to us but she was rude to her chef. Yelling constantly telling him to hurry up. The rolls were good, but nothing spectacular. The appetizers were mediocre. No comparison to the amazing service and outstanding food at kenzo’s. Definitely go there instead. Forget this place.

I would give the buffet food a 3 or 4 I’ll give the service a –12 which is why I’m saying 1 star. Waitress was absolutely the worst person that I have ever met in my damn life. We asked a simple question /request and she replied«we’ve done it this way for 11 years» with the sassiest tone ever. We were there by 3pm and they took over 20 minutes before starting to serve us and then said«oh 3:15 is dinner pricing» not my damn fault you took your sweet time to help us. Then when we split the bill they over charged us, rounded up numbers, exaggerated the tax and tip and when we tried to get an explanation they started speaking to each other in Chinese and acted like they didn’t understand us. I’ll stick to Kenzo’s sushi from now on.

All I can say is all you can eat for 22 bucks is a incredible deal. My favorite sushi place simply because of that. The Godzilla rolls is spicy and delicious. The shiro maguro has vinegar over it and makes it stand out form the normal nigiri. The fish is always fresh and you can taste it. The staff is great and always plenty of seating.

Today’s actually my first time. I was on Unilocal earlier and it was the nearest all you can eat sushi spot so I decided to try this place out. The fish here is decent, but they put too much rice which is so filling. I would’ve given this place three stars but has anyone seen the restrooms? It’s absolutely disgusting. Anyways, come here if you like a lot of rice on your sushi and restrooms that hasn’t been cleaned for decades :) Oh and they crank the fucking ac to like 30 degrees. It’ll make you feel like you’re eating sushi in Alaska.

We come here because it’s super close to our house and so it’s super convenient. Plus it’s just a little less expensive than some of our downtown favorites. The restaurant looks a little shabby which made me question the quality of the food at first… but every time we come here it’s packed and the fish has always been great. They have an all you can eat option that it seems like a lot of patrons partake in, but I have not had the appetite or courage to try it yet. I’ll be back to post another review of my experience if it ever happens!
