So our go-to Phở place closed down and needed a close by replacement. This place is actually really good and surprised we never came here before. It is hard to spot because it is tucked in the corner of the Nob Hill shopping center. The phở is just as good as the kind you get in Little Saigon.

Tasty! With so many Phở places around its hard to rate them all. But while this place wasn’t the BEST it didn’t disappoint.

Never coming here again. This is majority due to the service that they provided – when my boyfriend and I walked in, no one was paying attention to us, so we sat ourselves down. After a few minutes of waiting, I had to walk up to the cashier and ask for menus. We waited for a while for our order – we watched 3 other parties who were seated AFTER us receive their food. I finally went up to the waitress to ask, and she went to go to ask the kitchen, which then delivered the food after a few minutes. They forgot one food item, which they delivered as we were finishing up our meal(we ended up getting that to-go). Extremely poor service, never coming here again. It is just unfortunate since it’s one of the few phở places in the area

The PHO was ok not great flavor but ok. The service on the other hand was/is horrible when we came in we had no direction on what to do find a seat or go up to counter three workers just ignored us until we spoke to them as I write this I am waiting for hour bill. I would never recommend this place even the water was warm tap water. The sodas are all cans one more thing the noodles in the PHO were just plain angel hair pasta ! Wth? What happened to rice noodles? Am I mistaken?

Came here with my roommate from college and we were seated quickly. The menu is easy to read and I liked the pictures and the numbers next to each dish. I ordered beef chow fun and it was very flavorful. The portion was generous and it was a good balance of noodles, beef; and veggies. My roommate got phở tai and it smelled wonderful. The bowl was a good portion as well. Overall, the food was good, better than other Vietnamese restaurants in the area. The food comes out fast and the prices are good.

Stopped by for lunch. Located in a shopping center. Pretty basic atmosphere. Nothing fancy. Waitress was friendly, and I was seated quickly. I ordered the rare beef, and meatball phở. Let’s face it, phở is all about the broth. This was fairly bland. Not a lot of flavor. Amount of meat was a little on the small side as well. It was just… ok. The Vietnamese coffee was delcious though. Still searching for a great bowl of Phở here in Cali.

My new favorite phở house. I always get #2. Meat is soft and nice, broth is good without being oily and noodle is perfectly cooked. Only downside is their tap water which tastes like chemicals. hahahahaha.

My fiancé and I love the food here. I never expect amazing service here cuz that’s extremely rare at phở places haha so skipping over that part. I always get the steak phở and it’s great comfort food, also one of the best tasting phở places I’ve had and best portions. The Medium is pretty big, I never can finish the whole thing. The spring rolls and peanut butter dipping sauce is also so good. We go here 1 – 3 times a month.

I’m giving this place 4 stars because of location and food quality. I love that this place is just down the street and that I don’t have to drive to the east side for some good phở. The service is just ok. It’s hit or miss. Some days they’re faster and some slower. The rice plates and vermicelli noodles are pretty good. I love their spring rolls and always order them.

3.5 stars Not bad for Americanized phở, but definitely better than House of Phở and the Phở shop. This place was convenient because it is a lot closer to my work place in the South side of SJ. The kiwi smoothie was so delicious!

I’m being generous at three stars because of the location. Meat is chewy Broth is missing star anise and richness Broth is a bit watery Tap water for guests tastes like metal Only reason I’m ever here is location convenience, otherwise it’s a skip.

My family and I are HUGE fans of their phở. I think they’re the best Phở restaurant on the south side. they give HUGE portions & its always fresh and has a great flavor. our go-to dishes are the # 2& # 19. you can also request extra noodles, veggies, meat. And the owner is so amiable!

Glad I found out about this place, it’s one of the best Phở places I’ve been to in awhile — eaten here twice in the past few weeks. Phở and vermicelli bowl were delicious, fresh and very flavorful(especially the broth). We also tried the garlic shrimp appetizer — SO good. They were fried light and crispy with a good amount of garlic(but not too much) and veggies. What I like most about this place is the service. I’m one of those annoying people who modifies my order(often adding or omitting a particular item). I’ve never been successful in doing that at any other Phở place I’ve been to, but at this place it was no problem. Servers were super friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended.

Very solid Phở, for South San Jo, without having to make the trek to the east side. Admittedly, Phở Y#1, on Capitol Expressway is still my ultimate go-to-place for phở. That being said, Phở LA at Santa Teresa and Snell(next to Nob Hill) does not disappoint, and they also serve other Vietnamese plate dishes as well as typical Chinese noodle dishes and soups. However, no banh mi sandwiches on their menu, which kinda sucks. Service is somewhat spotty, with some employees extremely helpful and others somewhat rude, unwelcoming, and impatient. I will continue to patronize this establishment for convenience, but I do wish they’d learn to be a bit nicer! Solid overall.

Most disappoint seafood chow fun I’ve ever had. Lack of flavor and even seafood. Fish balls? Really? Shrimp is the usual but there isn’t any real veggies or anything else. Bean sprouts, noodles and fish balls. They tried to cut the cost and it’s obvious. $ 10 for this is not worth it. Taste bland and burnt. Can’t get that awful taste off my tongue. Bleh!

Just finished eating here & I think I found my new favorite phở spot to eat! Got the number 2(phở dac biet with bo vien) — the special + meatballs. The broth was delicious. It wasn’t oily, salty or tasted like o was drinking msg. Service was wonderful & the prices are just right! Definitely coming back here from now on.

More like 3.5 stars. Third time here! It is nice to finally have a decent phở place in south sj. Typically I go here to dine in but today I decided to order Phở TOGO. First off there is a 25c charge per to go item, second if youre ordering phở they only have the large bowl option. I didnt have a problem with those two things, the thing I had an issuse w was I have seen a large bowl there when you choose to dine in and let me tell you. The large to go phở is SMALLER than the dine in medium bowl… !!! Whats that all about?! Slap on the 25c fee per to go item and thats where I get frustrated. Not cool! Dont get me wrong, its an amazing phở find especially for south san jose but if youre thinking of going here, do yourself good and choose the sit down phở experience.

I’ve been here two times now and can safely say that it is a strong 4 stars in my book for the Phở only. I was thinking I’d be hard pressed to find any decent Phở or Vietnamese restaurant in ‘Santa Teresa’ area of San Jose but this place popped up as a good contender on my Unilocal search. The restaurant is less than moderately busy which is a good thing if you’re looking for quick service and a short wait for your food. The service as with most Vietnamese restaurants is quick and you never wait too long for a bowl of Phở to be put together! I enjoy the lighter broth here which isn’t overly dark or salty to me, good balance. I would like to say that if you want a good amount of meat, you need to order a combination Phở or Dac Biet which will have tendon, tripe, brisket, and rare steak. Don’t expect to get a lot of meat if you’re just ordering one or two types of meat in your Phở, just saying that for so ya’ll know! Side of fresh vegetables were just enough for my bowl and all the expected sauces you will likely use are there at the table. I believe the Phở bowls here are very similar to Beef Noodle #1. As I was eating, people came in to order dishes to go that were not«Phở» which means that this place makes some other decent Vietnamese dishes… I would have never had thought to order something else. I remember hearing people order rice dishes and spring rolls maybe? Some patrons here seemed like regulars from the area and they were most likely ordering family style.(you hear a lot sitting close to the register, lol). $ 8 for a good bowl of Phở Dac Biet at a locations like this, you simply can’t beat it.

It’s a 3.5 Why do I give 4 stars? Simply because its better than other places I rated 3(like house of Phở for example). Very fresh and balanced tasting spring rolls. The Phở is excellent(way less MSG than Phở Y 1). Less MSG… so people might find the broth less ‘tasty’ but to me it was light, fine tasting, well seasoned. Finally, the service might be just ‘ok’ but the owner is funny and friendly. Grey Vietnamese food, will go back
