Pho My

This place has gone down hill. The rice plates use to be real tasty, but not anymore. Don’t order soup to go cuz they get it wrong every single time.

I live nearby and whenever I’m craving Phở, I come get me some at this place because it’s the closest. I am vegan, so I can only order their «vegetarian» Phở and it tastes pretty decent and clean, not oily. I come here quite often (sometimes twice a week), but every time they ask me if I want chicken or other animal product in my Phở (it’s like they don’t listen or can’t understand English. The worst about this place is the customer service! Everybody is SUPER rude and the cashier (an old lady) always lies telling me that they don’t accept American Express even though they have a sign proving that they do accept it, which I have to show her every time.
Today I came again to buy Phở and asked the cashier (a young girl who spoke perfect English) if they had a chip reader on their credit card machine and she said yes. I gave her my card and she inserted it in the chip reader slot, but then proceeded to swipe it again. I asked her and she told me my chip was defective. My card is brand new and I just used it before coming to the restaurant! She then started speaking in vietnamese making fun of me to another lady and she kept mentioning the chip reader and blah, blah, blah.
PS: I never hear a «thank you!» from any of the people working here and again today; the young girl asked me if I wanted my vegan Phở with chicken broth in it. WTF is wrong with these people!!!
Today was most definitely the last day I gave these people my money!
I saw on TV how these restaurants will swipe your card and send the information to Asia to make a cloned card to be used fraudulently. BEWARE PEOPLE!!!

FEELING ROBBED… it’s not worth it, go elsewhere if you can
Businesses are not always courteous, buildings are not always new, locations are sketchy at times… which is totally fine with me most days… but…
After a long day when all you want is a good hot meal, last thing you have in mind is a kid’s sized phở… when you ordered and paid for a large.
The lady’s reply to my surprise was «that’s what you order»…

This is my favorite phở place. I like how is never busy and they serve you right away. I specially like the home feeling environment. You see all kinds of people come eat here. My favorite to order is vegetable noodles I recommend it.

To be fair we were in and out in five minutes. It’s always awkward leaving a restaurant after you have been seated but when no one comes to check on you or you cant see any staff walking around its easy to make a quick exit. The place smelled, the lighting was bad and the place was dirty. It reminded me of an abandoned restaurant in Fallout 4. Don’t waste your time parking, especially if you’re really hungry.

I don’t expect you to have a full blown conversation with me, but when NO ONE UNDERSTANDS or SPEAKS English, there is a problem! I had to repeat myself over and over and over again and ended up resorting to pointing to things. We got our appetizers AFTER we were half way thru our soups (we ordered egg rolls– nothing fancy). Place is not appealing to the eye AT ALL, and soup was VERY mediocre. Will never return!!!

This place gave us no water with our meal and the minimum is $ 10 for credit card. Had to buy two packets of gum but the lady made me buy three because she «already pressed the button». terrible service

If I could put negative stars I would, first let’s start with the service is horrible! This place has a funny smell to it but since I was so hungry we decided not to go anywhere else the service was disgustingly bad and very rude they couldn’t understand any English and looked at us like we were from another planet because we were not of their kind.
The soup was okay it wasn’t that bad trying to get past the horrible smell in the place smelling like sewer gas. In the end they tried to charge us extra because they said we asked for an additional cup of ice which our daughter dropped and then they wouldn’t bring us any straws that we asked for several times because they said they only come with sodas not with water.
This place will never get our business again and I’m calling the health department because it is disgusting and now we all feel sick.

If it gave me the option to put no stars i would. The lady who took our order was rude didnt make us feel welcome at all. She got mad because we put sauce in our take out and tried to charge us $.50 to do it. On top of that she charges $ .75 each additional take out order. This place will not be getting any more business from us again.

My first time here and knew it was going to be good because it was packed. The Chicken Phở was delicious and a small is plenty for one full serving. Prices are reasonable and service was good. I’ll be returning very soon.

RUDE!!! customer service is not done in this place. After waiting to be seated my daughter chose to sit by the window. This was when someone finally decided to yell at us across the way and said «can’t sit there that’s only for people».
I was not sure what the lady tried to say but I chose to sit in a different table.
This lady threw the menu on the table and walked away.
I decided to stay since my daughter wanted to have soup and I was intrigued by the customer service.
The lady finally took our order, I don’t believe the lady wanted to take the order or she was not having a great day. I told her what we wanted and she walked away. I was hoping she would read back my order but I got exactly what I ordered but on the other side of the table.
I refuse to come back to this place

Don’t come her for the customer service, just the hangover cure. Don’t come here for the ambiance, just the hangover cure. Wear your big sunglasses.

The phở is okay I suppose. Do not get their grilled pork rice platter because the pork was dry and not marinated well. I was also disappointed in their watermelon smoothie because it tasted more like Lucky Charm marshmallows. Don’t get me wrong, I like marshmallows; but I was expecting more of a watermelon flavor. If you want authentic Vietnamese food go to the east side of San Jose.

First time here, don’t look for any hellos and how are you or a smile! Ordered beef stew one small size it’s not the big chunks of beef in a red style soup like all the other Phở’ restaurants, it a skimpy portion with tiny pieces of beef. I won’t go out of my way to come back as their kids run wild through the restaurant. No tip for you!!!

This place is ok. Go to place when I’m in my girls area in the Blossom Hill area. Their phở is ok, their spring rolls isn’t that great.
Place is old and located in a shopping center.

I love the phở here. I have had both beef and chicken phở and I’m satisfied every time.
The service is fast and friendly.
Prices are good.
I have also had a couple vermicelli bowl with pork and egg roll. The egg roll appetizer and the salted plum drink. Loved it all.

It has been years since I’ve had phở this good. In fact it’s the best I have ever eaten. I will be back for sure.

Came by for lunch and ordered the cocunut chicken curry and rice. My buddy bought the large phở.
We’ve been here before for the Vietnamese coffee and it’s always been good.
The chicken was pretty good for the price. The carrot was a little dry but overall a good amount for a quick lunch.

Well, the Vietnamese coffee was serviceable, but that’s about it. We ordered two large bowls of Ph, both of which were only about half the volume of what I am used to from a Ph restaurant. Meat and noodle portions within were also pitiful. The broth was slightly below average. All this at a price-​point above the competition.
All that is fine, nothing worth a one star review until they served us the egg rolls. They arrived well after we were half way through our meal and they came with a side of rancid oil. The oil smelled so bad that we had to stop eating all together.
I would honestly avoid this place at all costs. My experience coupled with a long list of cockroach and other uninvited insect food guest reviews tells a pretty clear story.
There are a lot of options for Ph, skip this and try another.

Have only really gotten Vietnamese coffee from here. Nothing particularly great about the Vietnamese coffee except its convenient location on the way back from other lunch spots. I may return to try out the food sometime.
