The only reason this salon gets three stars is because I love my stylist. She and I have been working together for a long time and I have followed her to various salons for years. I’m her stalker. :) I hope she moves on from here soon because the owner of this place is a joke! As others have noted she not only sells expired products(ew!) she also sells styling tools that are so old that the packaging has yellowed and other assorted items she picked up at garage sales and tries to pawn off as new. There are only about three stylists worth the aggravation of the unprofessional environment that is fostered in this establishment. Sherry is definitely not one of them!

Okay. Where do I start. I was in desperate need of a quick color touch up, and all I asked for was jet black all over.(Seeing as I was already black, I just needed a booster). So I called and asked FORKIM specifically. Some older lady said she was Kim over the phone, so when I did come in to finally start my appointment, some lady named Sherri took me instead, and turns out she’s the owner. I get that my initial lady was busy, but to pretend to be someone else? Okay. So I told her I wanted an all over color. What does she do? Uses 1 tube of color on my roots, says«I’ll be right back, I have to mix more color», and she comes out eating food and asks me if I want any. Like no. How unprofessional. I also asked to see the color swatches,(mind you, I’m in a family full of cosmetologists, so I know Matrix color, and that I specifically am a ‘2N” I told her I wanted to see the swatches, and she says. It’s just black. Like uhh. Refusing for me to see color? BUTWAITITGETSBETTER. She literally starts slapping on my color, DOESNTEVENPUTMYHAIRINQUADRANTSTOEVENLYSATURATETHEHAIR, NOSECTIONINGOFF, NOTHING. She comes over to me and I’m like, «you’re not gonna do the rest of my head?» She said«no, I’m gonna put you in the shampoo bowl and dilute it with water to lightly dye the ends.» YOUNEVEREVERDILUTEPROFESSIONALCOLORWITHWATER. EVER. Another one of her clients walks in. She uses the SAMEGLOVES to wash her hair as she did on me! Then, still not changing the gloves, she leaves them on to rummage through her desk and mail that was just dropped off. HOWUNSANITARY. Once she«rinsed the rest of the color» out of my head, she used a brush that had A TON of other people’s hair in it. Doesn’t this lady believe in sanitizing? Another tip that’s unsanitary, she sells EXPIRED product on her shelves. So please, save yourself from becoming bald with this lady’s scams. Three words: Don’t go here. I suggest Sherry Shaheed request to be featured on «Tabitha’s Takeover». The problem always lies in the poor leadership. Too bad there is not a negative star rating. Sherry Shaheed is rude to customers and incredibly rude & negative to the other stylists. How tough it must be to work under Sherry. Must have been her relatives who gave her the few good reviews she has. I just cannot believe anyone would ever refer this lady who walks around with an angry scowl much of the time.

I haven’t been to any of the other stylists in this salon, but this review is specifically for one stylist: Sherry Shaheed. I have been going to Sherry since I was in middle school, and I’m 32 now, so about 20 years(boy, do I feel old). When I was young, I had always kept my hair long, but I decided to cut it short after a popular young movie star at the time. So my mom and I researched it, we only wanted the best to do my hair because I was so nervous about cutting it short. We found Sherry in the phone book(internet was not popular back then). We saw Sherry’s ad and saw that she had studied hair styling at Vidal Sassoon in London(I believe, or somewhere in Europe). So we decided to go to her. I brought a picture of the cut I wanted and showed it to her. And when she was done, I was very happy, exactly what I wanted. I decided to go to her ever since, my mom even decided to start getting her hair cut by her too. My grandma even had her hair done by her once or twice(who has since passed away). I have gotten coloring and hi-lites done by her. I even had her do my hair for my prom. The only downside is she is a bit pricey, so I tried to go to other cheaper places to get my hair cut. I went to 2 or 3 other salons, but I was unsuccessful at finding one I really liked, no one ever did as good of a job as Sherry. So I decided to go back to her. She is worth every penny, in my opinion. She has changed locations and salons many times, and my mom and I have followed her everywhere she’s been. Now she’s the owner of Sabika Salon. She knows exactly how I like my hair, I don’t even have to tell her anymore. She treats us like family, gives us hugs when we come in. I told her I don’t know what I’m going to do when she retires, because I don’t trust my hair to anyone else but Sherry! We just love her! She’s a great stylist and a great person!

I don’t know if some reviews are fake or jokes but, Sherry did a horrible job on my hair. I went in for a basic haircut. She seemed reluctant at first. Then kept dropping things. It felt like she was drunk. Anyway, she left patches all over and looks at me with all the pride in the world and says«finished». When I pointed at the patches she was like«oh» and went back to cut my hair for another 20 minutes. She clearly wasn’t finished. My hair is still crooked and I noticed even more things when I got home. I feel ripped off– like she thought i was an idiot and would be ok with patches and weird shaves on the side of my head. Is she a swindler? Is she crazy and the other ladies let her keep cutting out of pity? I see I’m not the first one to complain about her. Then she’s got all these others great reviews. I’m going back to get my hair fixed today or my money back. We’ll see what happens.

The worst salon I have ever been. I do not want to accuse all people working there, but a lady does not seem to have any enthuasism and talent. I went there to be reshaped my eyebrows. The lady saw me as a potential customer, and She suggested me to dye my hair because I am young. It is nonsense. She insistently asked for my phone number. I didn’t want to give my phone number and kindly, I refused it. At the end, she got angry and rudely threw her card toward a desk. She charged 20 $ and it took 10 minutes. She didn’t do a good job. One of my eyebrows was thicker than the other. When I came home, I tried to reshape by myself. Their customer service and her communication skills were terrible. Even though I paid 20 bucks, I wanted to give a tip. She refused it and said she did not ask for it at the beginning. She seemed she charged more than normally, it was so she did not take the tip. Finally, soooo expensive, the worst customer service. i do not recommend unless you want to pay too much money for a bad service.

Sherry is the best. I went in for the first time about 2 months ago she did a color correction on my hair. I had used dye from the box and she fixed it with out damaging my hair. I definitely recommend her.

This salon is under new ownership. I don’t know what it was like before but it’s spectacular now. I went in and saw Sherry Shaheed and she did a great job. The customer service is top notch bar none. I believe in the old ways of customer service, the customer service you just don’t see these days. This place has that. A lot of people think I’m hard to please, so for me to give a review like this it’s saying a lot. It’s worth giving it a chance.

Unlike my husband, I do like Sabika and think the salon itself is in pretty good shape. I go here as a walk-in for brow waxing and they do a pretty good job. Not the best, but certainly not the worst. What I don’t like is that there’s no phone number, and if you call the only associated number you get a voicemail that has an almost unintelligible message, and you never get a call back. I needed my hair cut a few months ago and did try to make an appointment, but couldn’t. I don’t have time to drive to a salon just to book an appointment, so I went elsewhere– to a place that not only has a working number, but answers it, too. What a shame.

Dumpy salon. They never answer their phone and don’t seem to have a receptionist. I had to get the cell phone number of one of their stylists to make an appointment. I came for my appointment and the stylist, Morena, wasn’t there. I waited for 15 minutes and left. Either she forgot to come to work or she had to cancel and didn’t bother to call me and tell me.
