New Darling Nails and Hair

Worst experience ever !!!
Please don’t visit this place the lady who helped me gave me the worst service of my life !
She cut me several times I told her to stop grabbing tmr fingers because it hurts and she wouldn’t stop at the ends she wanted to charge me 38 $ for a shity service

This is how my first experience went today.
I called beforehand and asked if they had time to do a new full set now bc I could be there in 5 minutes. They took my name and told me to come in.
They immediately handed me the gel nail colors. I told them I didn’t want gel nails bc it was $ 30 extra and it doesn’t last on me due to my profession.
They didn’t have the color I wanted so I settled for one that was alright.
I told them this is my first time at their salon since moving to California. Hoping they’d try to make a good first impression. In our intro conversation I discovered that bc it’s the day before Superbowl they’re very very busy and I started to worry and wonder why they told me to come in today.
I asked for a «squoval» shape bc I wanted something more natural looking as far as shape goes. I also asked for designs on both ring finger nails. I got neither.
About halfway in, a half dozen people show up including an appointment that my tech had scheduled. A fill in and gel color appointment. The client was apparently very late and that’s why they squeezed me in but Holy cow I’ve never heard so much loud blatant bad mouthing of a customer from so many nail techs at once in my life when the late client asked if she should come back bc she had already been waiting 25 minutes and I wasn’t close to done yet.
So my tech (I don’t want her to get fired so I’m not naming names) goes into frantic mode. Two nails are obviously crooked and I ask her to fix them and she improves them a bit but they’re still not right. While buffing she wasn’t watching watch she was doing and was so rough I started bleeding on two fingers. (Pictures posted in photos.)
Then she said she didn’t have time to do the designs I asked for and she claimed she would do with diamonds when we started. I never skip the designs on my ring fingers unless it’s a special formal occasion – it’s my signature look! I was super upset and wanted to ask why the hell they told me to come in and promised to do things but I kept my mouth shut bc their other clients were pretty awful. Super condescending and rude ND extra needy. There was one respectful customer there other than myself. Everyone else was a complete and utter B to the techs.
My nails are lumpy and a couple are a little crooked. The nail polish job wasn’t great. I have cuts. I didn’t get my designs. But other than that my tech wasn’t rude to me and I felt so bad about how the other customers treated the techs that I tipped 20%. Imagine how much money I would have tipped if she had served me like I mattered! Her loss. I was hoping I could find a regular lady to stick with.
I’ll never be able to come in there again after this review but I don’t want to anyway I’d much rather pay more and get what I asked for.
My advice… never go in the weekend when it’s busy and don’t treat the nail techs like they’re slaves.

First time here and I had a really good experience. Everyone was friendly. Best place to go for pedis.. definitely coming back and i highly recommend this location !!! Cindy does a very good job ! Ask for her… :)

I think I’ve found my new spot ! I used to go to this other place in blossom hill but they were too pushy on up selling that it ruined the experience for me although their end product was good, I was seeking for a place where I could relax and unwind without upgrades being shoved down my throat. Anyway, I came here today at about 11am they took me in right away. The woman asked what I needed and I said just a pedicure. Then she asked if I wanted manicure too, and eyebrow wax. I kindly declined and that was the last of that. Whereas the other place I use to go to … When you say no, they will show it on their faces and keep persisting to be point that you feel inclined to give in. This place is not that. I felt welcomed. The place is clean. And the woman who did my pedicure really took her time with both the pedicure itself and the massage. Th basic pedicure is $ 20 it comes with sugar scrub I believe it was and a hot stone massage. Other places charge extra for those. I am very very satisfied with the service I received today. My toes are now holiday ready ! Thank you !!!

I was suppose to come here last Wednesday but I was not able to do it so I have to book it on a Saturday. I was also running late for my appointment but when I got there, Lisa helped me immediately. I tried a lot of nail salons but my nail lady Lisa is the best so far. i had the refill for acrylic and had gel nail polish. My nails looks very natural which I really love.

I’ve been coming to New Darling Nails for at least 14 years and have followed them as they have changed locations. The owners — Sonny & Lonnie are great. I’ve only gone there for nails but they have really expanded their services over the years. With the last move they added a hair salon. I’m diabetic and have to be very careful with my feet and I trust Sonny I’ve been taking my daughter with me for a while now (she is 12) and Lonnie really takes care of her. I love this place and I’m sure you will too.

I love Mina and how she’s does my nails they come out perfect each and every time :) I Also love how she helps me decide on a color and which not to pick! Best nail tech I have ever had!

New Darling Nails and Hair was originally located on Almaden Expressway and Foxworthy, the owners Sonny and his wife Lonnie contacted me a few months back to let me know they moved to this new location near Starbucks and 24 Hour Fitness. There is another co-​owner whom I’ve never met. The inside of the shop is clean and well organized. On the right hand side of the shop is an area for haircuts and on the left hand side is the area where one can get manicures and pedicures.
Came here today for a pedicure, gel manicure, lip and eyebrows wax. Sonny and Lonnie provided excellent work for my pedicure, gel manicure, lip and eyebrows wax. I highly trust Lonnie with my eyebrows and she always does a great job of waxing them. The entire staff is friendly and welcoming. I’ve been going to New Darling Nails and Hair for nearly six years and would recommend them to family and friends without hesitation.

This darling nails used to be on Lincoln ave for years. I followed my nail lady Mina here as she is the absolute best! This location is waaaaayyyy better and it’s only 2 lights away from the old location, but man is it an upgrade from the old salon.
They have brand new spa chairs in a super soft leather material and they are really comfortable. The chairs also have the remote control for back massages. Parking is way better too. It’s located in the plaza with Starbucks, Almaden cinema theaters and 24 hour fitness.
If your a first timer, definitely ask for Mina, Cindy also moved to the new salon and she’s a sweetheart!
