Beware the booths!!! OK… I am not sure if its all the booths, but booth 26 was horrible. There was no support, I could feel the springs in my butt, and it felt like we needed a booster seat to get high enough on the table as we sank so low into what was left of the cushion. That said, this may be our new go to breakfast spot. No more Stacks, Bills or Holders for us. 2pm on a Saturday we were told it would a 40 – 50 minute wait for two people. We got seated in less than 10 minutes. My Supreme omelette and potatoes were awesome. Pretty hard to mess up an omelette but the potatoes were perfectly seasons with onions and peppers. And I hate onions and peppers. The orange juice is fresh squeezed oranges too. Service was quick and adequate. Nothing amazing, but nothing sub par. Except, we also ordered another omelette and the server asked, «How do you want your eggs?» This question appeared confusing. So we said, «Scrambled?» I guess you have to scramble eggs to make an omelette. Honestly, we were just caught off guard or we would have said something. None the less, we didn’t get an omelette as ordered. We go scrambled eggs and the ingredients on the side. Whatever, it was still good. Just a miscommunication. They also have a good selection on their menu. Check out the full menu here:

First timer! My bestie and I are big breakfast lovers and decided to give this new place a try. I was given an estimated 30 min wait time for 2 at 10 am on a Saturday and we were seated in about 20 minutes. There was a coffee station to enjoy outside while we waited. Parking is almost non-existent as it is being fought over by FIVE businesses. Carpool or über is the way to go. We ordered the Chicken fried steak and eggs and the Chicken and Bacon waffle. Both home runs! The waffle came with house made NOT frozen chicken strips. And the chicken fried steak came with a biscuit and gravy. And the mimosas? DELISH! Loved the peach mimosa! Service was good. Get here early the wait was insane on our way out. The lack of parking is the reason for 4 stars and not 5. It’s a real hassle. Otherwise

Quick service Polite and attentive service Decent prices Good sized portions — actually extra large portions. Had plenty to take home. Good breakfast foods with a nice variety to choose from. Older diner setting Parking is limited on weekends The Resturant was really cold though during a cold spell in March Left my winter coat on and had to order a hot drink to avoid chill from the blowing air from the vents

When will I EVER ask to go out to eat for breakfast? Like never. I’m more of a lunch/dinner kinda person even though breakfast is the most important meal of the day. When I think of breakfast, the first thing that comes to mind is ridiculously long waits. Breakfast food AND waiting are two of my least favorite things, that’s a fact. But for some odd reason, I wanted to get breakfast today. First of all, the parking lot was SO small. There are specific spaces designated for the nail salon next door so they take up a whole row. You’re better off parking across the street in the residential area. I was expecting to wait a long time based off other reviews on Unilocal.I didn’t have to wait whatsoever, woohoo! But this was probably because it wasn’t a weekend. Scrolled through the menu. Typically, I’d go with what I know and order an eggs benedict, but I was feelin’ some egg and ketchup so I went with the chicken apple sausage omelette. It came with huge pieces of onions inside, diced sausage, spinach, etc. it was SUPER filling! Had the choice between potatoes or hash browns and went with the potatoes. Got a side of toast as well. Honestly, I came here mostly to try their mimosas. Their mimosas were HUGE. They had the option of getting a huge cup(seemed like it was 24″ tall) or just the regular size which I thought was still a little too much to handle so early in the morning. They had tons of different flavors: guava, peach, pear, strawberry, watermelon, etc. I got the midori mimosa because I love midori sours. I couldn’t taste too much of the alcohol. I felt like it had a good balance between the oj, the champagne, and the flavoring. I’d definitely come again to try other flavors! The food was decent for breakfast, the portions were huge, and the service was fantastic. Might’ve been a little too early for a drink though. it wasn’t even 10am yet when I went. Oh wells :}

I had the corned beef hash skillet and it was delicious but I think the potatoes could be cut into slightly smaller pieces. Mimosas were GREAT! It was my dads birthday so he got a giant mimosa for free which was pretty awesome. I had the mango and he had guava. They were both really good. Overall I really like this place. One thing I really disliked was the staff did not look presentable at all. Hostess hair was a mess and she was wearing uggs and leggings. Being the face of the restaurant, I don’t think that’s very acceptable. Also some of the waitresses just had their hair thrown up in a messy bun. Other than that, service was great. Manager walked around greeting all the tables. Will definitely be back!

My boyfriend and I decided to try this place since it was«Hot and New». Located in a small plaza with limited parking. We went around 9:30 and the wait was 35 min. While waiting we notice A LOT of door dash guys picking up orders so we thought we were gonna wait foreverrrr, but in reality we only waited 35 min :). Food– BIG portions! I ordered corned beef hash and I really liked. Not from the can and not too much onions, mainly meat. Boyfriend ordered supreme omelette and he finished the whole thing, I’m guessing he really liked it but he said like always«it’s okay» –_-. Mimosas– Midori was really yummy and the pineapple was bleh tasted like champagne with watered down pineapple juice. But after we paid for the check we saw a HUGE glass of mimosa, wish we knew about it, next time we will get it!!!

Dare I say this might be an alternate Bill’s down the road? The menu seems well-established so I’m not sure if Mimosas moved from another location, but I’m glad it’s a fair drive away compared to Bill’s Cottle. There’s only so much Evergreen Inn and LK Grill I can take in my area… Knowing me and red walls – Hukilau, Off the Street, Tapsilog Bistro(??) – but something about that crimson/musky orange is always tell-tale that my taste buds and other senses are in for a ride. They have really big portions here. I was kinda in a lox mood Fri morning so I went for the Salmon Benedict w/capers. They serve them on full-sized bagels and your side of hash or country potatoes actually fill half the plate. My only pang with this was like I said in my photo cap, the eggs were«mighty wobbly» just shifting the plate around the table. Not poached enough for a Bene if you ask me. They have a variety of 10+ mimomas here at Mimosas(go figure), and like my green tea preference at boba places I went straight for the Peach. Conversely, the Peach went straight to me that morning too. Get some food in your belly first people! I hear drunkards justify the best cure for a hangover is another hangover which is complete bs. These ‘mosas will take you for a knockin’ if you aren’t careful. That’s either a plus or minus depending who I’m talking to in the morning. At any rate, this place is worth a try, worth a buzz, worth a throw up in the parking lot if you go that route. From the outside you already know what to expect going in(it’s an old building), but I assure you the quality of food n drink are there. Have at it!

Another fun brunch spot in San Jose! Can never have too many brunch spots! The wait is pretty long, so come early. We waited over an hour for our table, which only resulted in many bloody mary’s, they’re made with sake instead of vodka. My bf also had a very tasty guava mimosa. They had a spacious patio area for us to sip on our drinks while we waited for our table. Service for drinks was usually quick if the bar wasn’t too packed. The bartenders/servers are very friendly, and BUSY. The restaurant is really small, so expect to bump into a lot of people. The food took a while to come out, our waitress explained to us that the kitchen was backed up. I ordered a chicken and waffle. The waffle comes with bacon in the batter, I asked them to leave it out, but they forgot. No biggie for me though. My bf’s chicken fried steak was delicious. It came on two plates with eggs, hash browns and biscuits with gravy. The dish could have used more gravy, but I liked it better than my chicken and waffle. I would definitely come back here again, but maybe with a smaller table so that we could get seated faster. Restaurant is still very new, and I can tell they’re still working out some of their operations. Hopefully they can get up to speed with the demand.

I’d really say about a 3.5 rating on average. Come here if you don’t mind the wait. I knew about the wait so when Hubert and I arrived at 1:40pm we had a 45 minute wait. Sure, we’ll stand outside. This waiting, not a problem. It’s a popular brunch place. I don’t dock them for that. Lots of people drinking and some getting drunk. Drunk people can be loud. But I like the music they play. Around 2pm, the hostess said we can sit outside now or wait about 25 more minutes. We’ll sit outside. We received our menu right away and ordered right away. This is when my rating for them drops. We didn’t get our food until 2:45pm. That’s 45 minutes of waiting for the food. I don’t mind waiting for the table but once we sit at a table, it means we get to eat right?! Apparently not. When we did get our food. It could have been I was super hungry but it was delicious! I ordered a churro waffle and Hubert ordered chilaquiles. It was AMAZING. They had amazing country-side potatoes. I couldn’t stop eating it. The food was great. I don’t typically finish my brunch meal but I devoured everything today! Even the side of bacon. =D The waiting for a table– expected. The waiting for the food-unexpected. The food-amazing. Come for the food. Expect to wait for table. and then another long time for the food. Now I just need to figure out the best time to come to minimize the waiting. hmmm.

I usually go to Bill’s Café or Scramblz in the area, but now that this little gem has opened up– this will be my new go-to breakfast/brunch place! My boyfriend and I arrived on a weekday around 1pm and we were seated immediately. We ordered 2 mimosas– strawberry & I forgot what the other one was, but they were perfect! Not too sweet & they give you a generous amount in bowl shaped glasses unlike some places where the pours are in a champagne glass. I love how they have a handful of different flavors such as midori, mango, strawberry, prickly pear, etc! For our entrees, we both had the smoked salmon skillet which came with 2 eggs and smoked salmon over a bed of potatoes. The potatoes were perfectly seasoned, eggs were cooked over easy just how I like it, and the smoked salmon were cut thicker than usual which was a good change! OH! And they give you a huge biscuit! It was like a biscuit on steroids. It was the perfect mix of fluffy and buttery. Service was friendly & attentive as well! Definitely will be coming here often!

came in at 9AM today. saw this location pop up on Unilocal, and i wanted to try from their wide menu of mimosas. we had to wait at least 15 mins for our table. i can imagine the wait to be pretty long here. SIDENOTE: you can call in advance to put your name down on the waiting list. i had the crab benedict. it was pretty runny. the poached egg was not the best. the overall dish was just ok. bf has the chicken and waffles– it was not dry but it was just a standard dish. i probably liked this better than my crab benedict. peach mimosa-yummmmmmmmm spicy bloody mary-i hate bloody marys, but the bf said it was pretty good here. good location to the area since there are not many options down in that area. since i am on the way other side of town, there are options that are closer to home that i rather resort to. overall mediocre standard bfast.

This place is AMAZING!!! Totally worth the wait!!! Just order a mimosa and relax out on the patio; before you know it, your table is ready. Super friendly staff and the owner can concoct a mean mimosa. My family and I tried 5 – 6 different cocktails; all of them delicious! I would highly recommend the watermelon mimosa: freshly puréed watermelon makes this cocktail truly outstanding! Overall, I’m beyond pleased with the hospitality and quality of food/cocktails! I will definitely be back!!!

I think it was bigger than me. lol So big that he got sick towards the end of the day though. Too much champagne lol They should definitely start the bottomless mimosas! Esp since they have all these different yummy flavors. Definitely coming back !

This place opened up a few weeks ago and I am absolutely in love with the food! Benedicts, Pancakes, Chile Verde, no matter what you get you will not be disappointed! My parents love their bloody Mary’s and of course Mimosas. I always order eggs Benedict when I try new breakfast spots and I think they have the best hollandaise sauce ever! Not to mention the staff is so nice no matter how crowded and stressful the restaurant gets they have a good attitude. Everything is made from scratch even the orange juice is freshly squeezed! It’s my new favorite spot

One of my new favorite brunch places. Came mainly to have mimosas with my two girlfriends not expecting too much but we were definitely impressed with the food and wide variety of mimosas. Portions are huge, which is nice since I can enjoy the meal twice. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Skillet– Had potatoes, smoked salmon, eggs over medium, red onions, scallions, and a biscuit Smoked salmon was flavorful and the potatoes were just right. Friend #1 ordered Apple sausage omelette– Omelette had mushrooms, spinach, onions, apple sausages and hash browns on the side Friend #2 The Breakfast Sandwich– Sandwich had eggs, Bacon, avocado on sour dough, and potatoes on the side We all ate more than usual because it was all very good. Our waitress was also efficient, took care of us and everything was carried out in a timely manner. Had the classic OJ mimosa and pineapple and in my opinion the pineapple tasted better. I will try the cranberry mimosa next time!

The wait times are long, especially during weekends. But Mimosas Café is worth the long wait time, you’ll leave the place with a full stomach and a gratifying meal. On a Saturday when we came here for brunch, the wait time was about 40min. There’s space outside to wait until your name gets called. Here’s what we ordered: — Prickly Pear Mimosas — Coffee — Country Benedict — Italian Sausage Everything was very very good. Loved the mimosa and the Benedict. So flavorful. I had ordered the Italian sausage, however they brought me chicken apple sausage by mistake. So they ended up giving the chicken apple sausage for free and brought the Italian sausage. Can’t complain because the chicken apple sausage was delicious!!! Very good service. Delicious food. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to return and try their other Mimosas and other dishes on the menu.

They have many choices and all reasonably priced.

Highly unusual for a Restaurant to have the bugs worked out even if you are the only people in there. Our server was attentive and friendly. Sometimes when you go to a place and it’s not busy the servers pass away the time on their phones or chatting with other works. Our server did neither of those and was able to remain focused on doing her job. The food had good flavor. I had Chilaquiles w/chorizo(could be a tad spicier for me personally) and my dinning companion had eggs Benedict country style with fried chicken and bacon on a biscuit. There was no «would you like a taste?» Just silence and when they could no longer eat anymore(portions are good size) just a satisfied«yum». This is definitely a place to come back to. I would have to say my only issue is if it’s cold outside don’t sit near or in front of the door, if someone decides to start up a conversation in the door way it can get chilly. It will be nice when the weather warms up as they have a patio for outside seating.

My wife and I met a friend here recently for our bi-monthly Sunday brunch. Our friend suggested this place. When I first saw that it was nestled in a strip mall, I thought that space was going to be tight. Once inside, my fears went away. It’s not a big restaurant, nor is it small. There is a cantina-typed bar, away from the eating public. Anyway, I ordered the steak and eggs omelette. I read in reviews that the portions are large. I wasn’t disappointed. I instantly told my wife I was going to need a box. I didn’t even attempt to finish it. It was very good. If you are on a diet, think twice about coming here. This place just opened. I suspect once the word gets out and the weather gets warmer, wait times will be much longer. We only had a 10 minute wait, but as we left, the crowd outside got bigger. Speaking of which, my only negative about this place, it needs a bigger waiting area.

We found this place on Unilocal during our visit to north Cal. You are probably in for a long wait before you get seated. The drinks are really good. The classic mimosa comes in with fresh orange juice. The portions are a on that larger side so sharing might be your best bet. Overall I was happy with the food and drinks and the entire experience.

Pros: — massive portions — variety of mimosas — classic café/diner atmosphere Cons: — quality is just ok Came here for lunch and the staff greeted us warmly. The table next to us was celebrating a birthday, and the staff gave her a giant mimosa. Giant like the drinks you see in Vegas pictures. That was just a taste of what was to come. I got the chicken fried steak which came with biscuits and eggs and hash browns. Everything was giant. The steak was pounded thin but not very tender and not very juicy; though the gravy had a good consistency and flavor with the bits of bacon. The biscuit was fluffy in some parts but dry in others. I got the strawberry mimosa, which was a mix of strawberry purée and champagne. Didn’t taste much of the champagne, but the strawberry added a nice flavor. The purée consistency was a bit chunky though. Bottom Line: Quantity doesn’t mean quality though Mimosa’s Café comes close to doing both

Food here was actually pretty good and portion sizes were big as well! Atmosphere is lively and there’s enough seating inside and out while you’re waiting for your table. The bar is open seating so if you don’t mind bumping elbows with your neighbor then definitely grab a seat for quicker service. My only complaint would be the service that day. Announce names louder(or in general) or double check that you’re bringing the right group in. It sucks to get passed up because you just assume that another group has my name and seat them first. I also wasn’t sure why our hostess was pointing at our table while looking at the kitchen. I hope it’s not to spit in our food. Haha.

We had a late brunch here on a whim and could not have been happier about the lucky choice. See, we’d been on a hunt for the best chicken and waffles in the South Bay. Hunt is officially over! Their chicken is crispy & juicy and seasoned with… Rosemary? Oregano? Magic?!? Same thing, same thing. Went perfectly with the fluffy, tasty waffles. She had the crab and shrimp benedict, which also did not disappoint. Let’s not forget, their mimosas are amaaazing. When they’re served with the warning, «Be careful, it’s strong,» you know you’re in for a great start to your weekend. The icing on the cake was our bartender/waitress, Lermin. She took such good care of us, and the rest of the staff was beyond friendly and entertaining. We can’t wait to become regulars here! Pro tip: sit at the bar. You’re welcome.

I love love love this place. Servers and staff were super friendly. Portion sizes were of truly epic proportions. We got there around 8:40 am on a Sunday to avoid the rush we’d read about here on Unilocal. It was moderately busy but we were seated right away. By 9:30 there were a bunch of people waiting outside. The biggest ‘disappointment-turned-moment-of-glee’ was when I found out that I only got one pancake when I subbed it for my toast. My daughter reassured me that the pancakes were«pretty big» so I decided to wait and see how it turned out. That pancake was as big as my head. No, it was bigger! And even though I was worried that it would be overdone or not that tasty I was once again proven wrong upon taking a small bite. It was perfect. Flavor-wise one of the best pancakes I’ve had. And lest I come off seeming overly critical or amateurish let me assure you, I am a pancake expert of the highest caliber. My daughter got the eggs Benedict which she reported as being«awesome». I had the chorizo scramble which was good. I ordered my hash browns extra crispy and they came out perfectly, my daughter did not and hers we’re a little undercooked. She regretted not ordering them crispy.

Found this spot via Unilocal looking for a breakfast alternative to Bill’s and saw the good reviews. Decided to go this am and those 5 star reviews didn’t disappoint! Party of five had various eggs benedict options and an omelette plate and the portions were hot, fresh, huge and delish! Nice touches like complimentary coffee outside for those waiting, the host opened the door for us as we were approaching and the manager came around to ask how the food was! A+ for going the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied. Def planning to come back!

I was impressed. Came on a Saturday at 11AM, and of course the place was full. Service was fine(friendly servers, water was always full, and we were checked on appropriately). The drinks were delicious: I had a pineapple mimosa which was yummy, and my daughter LOVED her spicy jalapeño Bloody Mary(I tried it, and it was good — and I hate Bloody Marys!). The food portions were large, and the food came out piping hot!!! The music was upbeat and kinda loud(which I personally don’t mind, but some people don’t like). I see a bright future for this place. Keep up the good work!

This is my new favorite breakfast spot. Huge portions of excellent food. I am an early riser and love that they open at 6:00 am. When my dad and I went at 6:30 am and we were greeted by friendly people and seated quickly(I was told that 9:30 am — 2:00 pm are the busiest hours on the weekends). I told my dad that I felt like I was eating breakfast at a friends house, because of the atmosphere and well made food. There are several mimosas you can order and specialty drinks, which my dad is eager to try when he goes for lunch next. I like the big menu with a wide variety of breakfast and lunch items. Came here for brunch around 11am and wow, the place was already crackin’! We swooped up a couple of seats right away at the bar and the lady server got right down to business. Mimosa? :) We ordered a prickly pear and it was pretty yummy. Unfortunately I’m allergic to wine, so the bf got to enjoy the yumminess of it all. We split the Meat Lovers Skillet(all their portions are HUGE) and we were still struggling to finish our dedicated portions. The servers were all really friendly and you can tell the other patrons were happy with the food they received. The lady server was very nice to the other patrons next to us(perhaps they were regulars?) but the Café seemed very homey and warm to all that came in for a delicious meal. They definitely did not skimp with the meat in the skillet we ordered! Their pancakes looked HUGE, dense and delicious. I will have to try that next time. Can’t wait to come back and try their other dishes. I also appreciated all the hard work that was going on in the kitchen — the chefs were plugging away and all of the plates that came out were very hearty and looked yummy. Thanks for a great visit! I look forward to visiting again soon.
