I’d like to start by saying I live 5 minutes away from this Dennys and 70% of the time they don’t even except to go orders and when you do walk in you have a long wait to sit down and just as long for you food to come. One time it took 30 minutes just to get a order of pancakes. It’s pancakes it shouldn’t take that long. And they are very rude when they tell you the kitchen is closed for to go orders like come on you have a big sign for to go orders. They should put only if your lucky that is.

I called to ask for a refund, I told the manager(Jose) that I just wanted the money back and that I’d return the food(since my steak tasted like dog food) I wasn’t angry at all, I was actually trying to be nice since I’ve worked in food service before but, when I got there Jose’s attitude was what pushed me. I was the one who ended up saying sorry(when it wasn’t even my fault) and all Jose could say was«uh huh» as if it was my fault that the food was cooked the way it was. the waiters were nice but the manager sucks(makes me feel bad that good workers are working for someone like that). Just the way he handled it was completely unprofessional. Idk how he got the job… anyways Of course you don’t go somewhere to eat because of excellent customer service, you go for the food! And the food was horrible.

Came here at about 12 am, sober. We ordered a sirloin steak medium rare plus nachos. I asked for everything on the nachos, and front desk asked what type of sipping sauce we want for the veggies, we said ranch. Got out food pretty quickly, so it seemed good. Came home and checked out the food, first of all the steak was bloody ass f**k. It was so rare, might as well bite a cow, took one bite and it tasted like dog food and meatloaf texture… very gross. The nachos were all right, missing sour cream and some cheese. Called and asked for the manager, took 10 mins and we called again and we were able to get ahold of him. Oh yeah thank you front desk for forgetting our receipt. Anyways manager was able to give us a refund, but he didn’t say sorry but you know what, Denny’s is at fault. F the policy saying that they can’t apologize or admit they are at fault. No more Denny’s for us, I suggest you all do the same. Couldn’t fool us with that bogus food, we were sober. You could’ve fooled probably drunks. Manager couldn’t say sorry that the steak taste like shit? It’s not even your money, it’s the company’s money Jose. Learn to apologize for the company’s mistake for letting you guys get away with cooking food like noobs.

It is so sad to see an icon deteriorate through mis-management and neglect. We have been going here for years because it is located right in the middle of my several rental condos, and right next to our favourite stores in Oakridge Mall. But last week, the store really hit Rock Bottom. I waited in front of the Store Manager while he chatted on the phone until finally one of our favourite waitresses seated me and my family. Service was exceptionally SLOOOOW and when the food finally arrived, my granddaughter did not get Syrup for her pancakes and waited till they went cold. The waitress apologized that she forgot. This store has seen continuous turnover of Managers and Asst Managers and seems totally disorganized. I hope the top Management of Denny’s reads this review and takes action — until then I will avoid this place.

((Review is for Phone orders)) This review only applies to phone orders. Recently I placed a phone order. 1 of the 4 dishes were correct. It’s not that the order was mixed up, it was just entirely wrong. A kids French toast breakfast, and the FRENCHTOAST were missing! A sandwich+soup meal had the soup was missing. A skillet with the main ingredient misssing. That is not the only thing. Upon placing the phone order I was told that the order would take about 15min. Here is the scooop: after quoted a 15min«ready time» I purposely arrived 20min minutes later. Only to have to wait another 30min. In wait time at dennys. Total is now 50min. Upon me questioning the host — they rushed to get me my food. They were apologetic… but I felt as they were just trying to get me out of there… I knew I should of checked my order but I was pissed and wanted out of there. I had a hungry child at home. Upon arriving home… surpise: Kids French toast order; had everything but French toast. WTF! The skillet was the wrong skillet… The Sandwich and soup order… had no soup The Fit Skillet… wow it was complete. 1 out of 4… to me that meant you got it 75% wrong. Did I mention that they were not busy during this time? I WOULDBEMOREUNDERSTANDINGIFTHEYWEREBUSY. This is not my first experience in a messed up phone order, however this was the time which was over all bad. They set up with false expectations, we’re not busy, got the order wrong, and a lot of time was wasted. Thus I had to write a review. I did go back and got a refund. I returned the 3 wrong orders. They offered to get it better by getting me new freshly cooked orders, but by this time we had lost our appetite. I must say that they service has been decent when eating in, but phone orders… I have never been 100% satisfied. The competitor down the street SCRAMBL’Z has yet to screw up a phone order. So as far as phone order are concerned… WWWWACKSERVICE!

Two stars because the waitress that helped us was friendly and nice. Overall we ended up walking out. So the wait for a table was no more than about 10 minutes. Once we were seated our waitress took our order for drink and brought them to the table quickly, by this time a woman was seated in the booth behind us. We ordered and appetizer and by this time a large family(about 8 people) were seated across from us. The wait for the appetizer was about 5 minutes too long, not to say that there’s a time limit, but it just took too long(longer than the usual at any place). Once it was brought out we put our food order in and waited. And waited. We felt like we waited a long time and were willing to keep waiting but the woman that was behind us got her food, then within 5 minutes the family across from us got all their food. This was when we decided to get up and leave. I was waiting for a to-go cup for my drink(we had left the table) and our food was finally brought out and the waitress asked us if we wanted it. My boyfriend and I both said we did not want the food because it took too long. The manager(I am assuming she was the manager) insisted we take the food even if it was to-go to avoid waisting it, which I understand completely. She said that the kitchen was behind«15 minutes» which doesn’t explain why a group of 8 that were seated about 10 to 15 minutes after us got all their food first. When we paid for the drinks and appetizers the manager, again, pressed us to take the food to go and we declined again. The manager was civil(not ‘friendly’) about the situation and offered to take 25% off our meal but it wasn’t about the money but the time, we were there for almost an hour and hadn’t gotten food. I would have understood if the waitress told us something beforehand(‘the kitchen is understaffed/behind so the food will take longer than usual to cook’ or something) also if the large group still hadn’t gotten their plates. The Denny’s wasn’t overly crowded to warrant a wait time like that. I have been to busier Denny’s(and other restaurants) and everything was perfectly fine. I’ve also never had to actually walk out of a restaurant before. Overall I would not choose this Denny’s again simply because the wait time for food was way too long and the lack of understanding(?), I just felt like the manager gave us an excuse and then tried to push us to take the food with us.

Foods great! Really good!!! A lot of Salt! People are friendly enough… Service was slow… No silver ware on table… The food was good but took awhile. Probably understaffed. I tipped because if you don’t you are an ass but still. Good place to eat late but do not go here hungry. Everything took days. I do thank you guys for being courteous. So I would come here again. Just not when I’m super hungry and I will say to other people you guys have a good attitude just please have faster service!

Making a long story short, we got here there was a long wait. Then when we got to our seat the table was wet and sticky. Eww. Then it took around 12 minutes to even get water. I would give them 0 stars if I could, worse service I’ve ever had, first the server took lie 45 mins to get us a glass of water, then about another 30 mins for us to get our drinks then the soda machine was down… so we all ended up getting wster after that another 20 mins to get our order in and finally 35 min to get our food, worse place I’ve ever eaten at

Pretty disappointed with service and employees. We got seated but nobody waited on us until 15 minutes later after they waited on new people. I pretty much felt invisible, mind you, I’m freakin starving. There are like 3 other managers just walking around not even acknowledging us. People just suck here.

Came here on Christmas, yes I know it’s a holiday but place was not very busy and they had servers waiting around at the cash register. We asked to order 3 times and they said one moment just have to help another table and I’ll be back. 20 minutes later and did not even get an order or water or anything and we walk out and none of the servers that saw us walk out said anything. Awful.

I came here with my family and seated right away even though they are busy. Our waitress, Lulu, was just a darling, southern style friendliness, and seemed to know many customers by name, a rare experience these days with people losing the sight on customer service. Many nagative reviews here seemed either old or focus on waiting time, etc. Food was denny’s standard, asked for my crispy hash browns and came out perfect. We would not be hesitant to come back here and hope to get Lulu or other staff seems great too

one of the best dennys that I ever seen. I’ve been in many dennys before. I had to wait for servers for a long time and even when they took my order had too much attitude(IDK really why!!!). they always messed up my order and never asked if I need to refill my drink! but the one in blossom hill is really different!(sometimes I forget that I’m eating at dennys) the servers are fast and friendly. the food is awesome. you can truly see the team work through servers. they help each other to deliver the foods or refill customers’ drinks. highly recommend it.

I’ve been to this Dennys a couple of times and have never been satisfied. This time threw me off the edge. I showed up on 10/16/2015 at 10pm with 3 people including myself. There wasn’t a lot of people waiting so we put our name in. As I looked around the restaurant if you will, I saw empty booths and tables everywhere. We were told it was a 15 minute wait that took 30 minutes. Once seated, we waited another half hour with no service from the waiter, he didn’t bring water or even acknowledge us as he passed by easily 15 – 20 times. We got up and left mad because we were blatantly ignored and provided by far the worst service I’ve ever seen in my life! And I’ve been to some pretty bad places. To top it off, it smelt really really bad outside the place, and inside.

OMFG! If I could give this place negative 500 stars I would! I’ve experience bad service from various places, but by far this is the worst ever!!! We’ve been seated for the past 15 minutes and NO one has gone to our table to even offer drinks. I’m so annoyed with the service I literally lost my appetite to eat. I would bail and say f*** this places and walk over to the nearest fast food to eat something else, but I’m with some friends. I look around and just smh. They either hired all the wrong people or they just don’t care who they hire. I guarantee a homeless person would provide much better service than these clowns that works here! SMH! This place needs NEWMANAGEMENT and NEWSTAFFS!!! **Updated Review: Manager is a JOKE!!! We go our food 45 minutes after ordering? Really?! Manager didn’t charge us for the side seasoning fries, which give us $.85 off?! LOL. Wow. Just. Wow.

No one ever really dreams of working in food service, especially at Denny’s. So when I encounter people who are nice and friendly, you have to give them that extra star. Food is average, but surprisingly, the hash browns were pretty good. they were crispy and non-greasy. I’ll come here again.

Update … The value menu has some half decent selections. I got the biscuit & gravy with 1 egg for $ 4. Gravy is decent, good biscuit, & egg was cooked over easy as requested. Best thing about this location, Lulu! We were seated in her section. She works hard and knows what customer service is all about. I noticed several customers requested her section. Lulu made sure that we were satisfied with our meal and the price.
