Lily’s Hair & Nails

Walked in for a haircut and Lily helped me. Just added some layers and she did amazing, exactly what I asked for and for only about $ 25 including shampoo and style. Have also gotten my toes done there and LOVED the hot wax treatment

I came to Lily’s this afternoon for a haircut after reading the reviews on Unilocal.The first lady, not sure of her name, was taking her time and being precise with her cuts. But, apparently, she was «taking too long» to cut my hair… as Lily told me when she took over cutting my hair. Lily had me move to a different chair so she could continue with the cut. Next thing I know, she just starts taking chunks out of my hair or, as she called it, «layering» my hair. I’m sorry lady but layering is blending the hair gradually not taking huge chunks out of it. THIS IS THE WORST HAIRCUT I’VE EVER RECEIVED IN MY 49 YEARS AND IT CAN’T GROW BACK FAST ENOUGH!!! I would have given her zero stars if that were an option.

After my great experience last time (5 stars), I decided to go back for another manicure. My friend was in town from Virginia and I called up Lily’s and asked if they had availability to do two manicures. I was told that one person was available immediately and if we came in 15 minutes, both technicians would be available and we could get manicures together. I confirmed that we would be there in 10 – 15 minutes.
We arrived to the salon 10 minutes later and I let them know we were the people who had called to secure manicures. Both technicians were with customers. After 20 minutes of waiting (30 minutes after we initially called) both technicians were still helping other customers. At that point, we decided to leave. When they asked us to stay, I nicely explained that we had called 30 minutes before and were told someone was available immediately and the other person would be available in 15 minutes, and it was now 30 minutes later and there was still nobody available. They explained that right after I called, someone else (the man in the chair) walked in and asked for a pedicure.
I don’t mind waiting to get my nails done, especially when I find somewhere that does a good job. My first experience here was great. However, I don’t like it when I call ahead and I am told one thing, then I show up and have to sit and wait. They knew we were going to be there in 10 minutes and they told me that we would both be able to get manicures in 15 minutes, then they took another customer right after that. Then, once we got there, they didn’t even give us the courtesy of letting us know there had been a change of plans and we would have to wait longer; I would have appreciated that very much. I confirmed with them that I was the person that had called 10 minutes before so they knew it was me when I walked in.

I LOVE this place! They totally helped fixed my bad hair dye job and made it look really nice. I also showed the hairdresser a picture of how I wanted my haircut to look. She cut it exactly like the picture ! I was soooo happy. I’ve also gotten nails done here and they came out super cute! Their gel lasted me months! All the ladies that work there are sweet and talkative. Definitely a great salon.

Lily’s is close to home and has great reviews. i was in need of a pedicure and I figured I’d give Lily’s a try on a Saturday AM, as the hours are from 9 — 7. Well, I showed up at 9 and grabbed a doughnut and a coffee next door and had to wait for her. If it weren’t for one of her regular customers saying that she is worth waiting for, I would’ve left. She was worth waiting for and I would return again. Just keep in mind that she runs late on Saturday mornings.

This review is long overdue! I live right down the street and am so glad this place opened up. Lilly is very sweet and detail oriented and strives to make her customers happy. I get my mani, pedi’s and eyebrow shaping there every 2 weeks and have never been disappointed. The place is small and very clean and all tools are sterilized.
They also offer mens and women’s haircuts color and highlights.
Cons– Not a huge selection of nail polishes and gel polishes
Pros– Open 7 days a week, great prices, clean, detail oriented, great eyebrow shaping
