About two bucks a macaron and twelve for a box of 6. Excellent quality, but more than that they have some really interesting flavors. The real reason this place gets 5 stars instead of 4 is the Ferrero Rocher. TRYIT!

This small shop is so brand new inside Eastridge Mall! The owners aka bakers, Theresa Ho and Timmy Do, are such sweet lovers! At the store, they sell macaroons, boba tea and banh mi. You can also order the macarons in bulk for events on their website at ! Location 4⁄5: If you enter Eastridge from the AMC downstair entrance, their shop locates literally one shop down on your right hand side. It’s next to the Angkorian/Cambodian food shop and right across from the hair salon. Business’s location speaking, they have great foot traffic exposure! HOWEVER, the only thing I don’t get is the big fat board that says Angkorian Express right on top of their shop. That’s the part that made me all confused at first. Then, I walked closer to see their banh mi picture and found out. Yup, this is it! This is HoDo Macarons & Tea thankfully to their stickers on the banh mi! Otherwise, I would be even more confused… Service 5⁄5: Theresa and Timmy are very friendly! They let us taste different teas before choosing the right one to order. Timmy also suggested me to try their House Special banh mi with grilled pork recipe. Being the adventurous eaters that we are, of course we had to try the«best of the best of the best» house banh mi! It was funny to us that Theresa was asking«Do you like banh mi from Lee’s!?» while introducing her family’s grilled meat recipe. We thought that she was being very specific about her competitor and awesome at the same time. With that much passion for her food, I give her. We also ordered a cold jasmine milk tea with boba and a hot earl grey milk tea with boba. Nearby, there are tables where you can sit down to enjoy the food. There are also tables upstairs in the cafeteria. Food 5⁄5: For a mall food shop, they offer such solid food and drinks! Their milk teas have a balanced tea to milk ratio(not watered down like Cool Tea Bar). We requested 30% sweetness level, it was pretty sweet! The banh mi was very flavorful. For a $ 3.25 banh mi, you are getting a generous amount of meat inside a French baguette(not the typical Vietnamese banh mi you can find at Huong Lan). The meat was pretty delicious I would say! Their banh mi is what I was expecting from Banh Mi Thien Huong that recently opened near Target. Unfortunately, they didn’t deliver, so HoDo will get more customers from there in addition to Theresa’s strong backers whom ditched Lee’s sandwiches for her banh mi!

If you want these delicious macarons, get ready to go on a little hunt. HoDo is nowhere on the Eastridge Mall map. Thank you Nancy H for your review or else I wouldn’t have found HoDo Macarons! I was picking up a Christmas gift at Macy’s on Wednesday, December 23rd and dropped by around 1:15pm. Their flavors that day were: *Ferrero rocher *Cookie butter *Raspberry cheesecake *Tiramisu *Banana dipped chocolate *Pandan coconut *Passion fruit *Green tea *Caramel delights *Salted caramel *Pistachio I ended up getting the 6 piece box($ 11.50) with Cookie butter, Raspberry cheesecake, Tiramisu, Banana dipped chocolate, Passion fruit and Green tea. The banana one is quite wide due to the chocolate dipping, so they put one of my macarons in a one piece gift box since all six wouldn’t fit into the 6 piece box. The 1 piece gift box is $ 2.25 on its own, so it was a really nice gesture. You can also get individual Macarons($ 2 each) or a 12 piece box($ 22). I adored the texture of the macarons. Soft with a nice chew. The flavors were good without being overly sweet. My favorite being the banana one. Tasted like a banana cream pie. Yum! It’s been a while since I’ve had a macaron, but these also seemed a little bigger than other macarons I’ve had in the past. For lovers of the king of fruits, HoDo has a Durian flavor($ 2.25 each). They also sell it in a 6 piece box($ 13) and a 12 piece box($ 24). I was curious, but I’ve never really liked Durian, so I decided to pass. The girl helping me out was super sweet! Extra points for their customer service. I wish I knew they had a loyalty card. I might have used it as a reason to come back!

OMG, they are the BEST! I’ve never really cared for macarons cause it’s all really too sweet, but HoDo makes them perfect! They have many different flavors each time, so it varies whenever you stop by. I don’t have a favorite cause they’re all really good! And the owners are super nice, too! OHH, and their ice coffee… AMAZING. French pressed with condense milk and some white pearls, it’s heaven.

I was very very happy to know that this macaron place was here. i didnt even notice this place until yesterday when i came into work early and decided to just browse around the mall. I have asked one employee there how long have they been at that spot and the girl had said it has only been since october that they have been there. And i am extremely happy to say that now i am going have my favorite place to have lunch at! Unfortunately, they only have a certain flavors to choose from but my all time favorites are theur oreos, pistachio, pandan coconut, s’mores, and i think they had nutella? But yes. Anyways, i am a big fan or macarons especially when one of my relatives showed me. They are just so addicting! Come and stop by Eastridgemall in the middle of daiso japan and a hair salon place. Closer to the parking garage near sears. Amc entrance where the escalator to the food court is at. Yup yyp.

Took one bite of the fruity pebble macarons, and OMG it’s so good! Thanks to the recommendation of a worker there. She was really nice and sweet, but wish I have got her name though ! I also ordered the jasmine green milk tea, which was pretty good. I like how it I could taste the tea and it was a good amount of sweetness to it. I will definitely come back for more macarons though! I love how the shell is not too hard or crispy. It was soft, chewy and I like it. Location wise, I walked around the whole mall lol, but that didn’t bother me at all. Should have called in the first place anyways LOL.

I have to be 100% honest in my review so I apologize ahead of time if any of you disagrees with any part of what I have to say. I couldn’t find this location at first so I called them to ask. It’s located downstairs in entrance D right on the side of Sears. If you’re inside the mall, it’s right in the corner next to GNC(or Daiso if you don’t know where GNC is). When you see Angkorian Express, walk a little bit more to the next window. It’s right there. Which kind of sucks because there is no personal sign for HoDo themselves. They have a great variety of macarons to choose from. Mainly flavors you don’t really see anywhere else such as: Fruity Pebbles, Durian, Pandan Coconut, Cookie Butter, and some more. The ones listed are also my favorites! It’s $ 2 per macaron and I believe when you buy a box of 6 it’s $ 11.50. The first macaron I tried was the Pandan Coconut. When I bit into it, it wasn’t soft and melt in your mouth like it should but the flavor was so good! However, the few other flavors I purchased did end up melting in my mouth. So I guess it just varies on the batch. Seeing and hearing from the owner themselves, these macarons are made the night before and is refrigerated to sell the next day, which I don’t mind but it does defeat the purpose of a macaron, especially at $ 2 a piece. That won’t stop me from coming back though! You will really like these macarons when you try them and the owners are very helpful and super nice! So go give it a try and remember to ask for a loyalty stamp card! It’s one stamp per macaron and you receive a free macaron when you have 10 stamps in total. Happy munching!

Wow. Just wow. Not sure where to start, but I kept seeing some of my friends post about how great this new macaron & tea shop was in the south bay area on my social media. So I though to myself, «Hey, why not?» So I decided to swing by HoDo Macarons & Tea in Eastridge Mall in San Jose to try out their macaron(I tried the Fruity Pebble) and a hot Jasmine Green Tea with Lychee and holy Gong Cha this stuff is good! Not just good(that would be an understatement), it was BOMB! I’ve had quite some macaron & tea in my days and I must admit that the flavors and quality of these desserts are so good, that it has changed my life forever(for real though). The sweetness of the tea isn’t too sweet as most places I’ve tried(I prefer bitter with just a tease of sweet), and the flavor is perfectly balance that piques my taste bud’s interest. Definitely a place worth checking out their variety of flavors of macarons(they have guava, pistachio, fruity pebbles, go nuts & chocolate covered banana). I also noticed how busy they were as one of the workers(in the Cal apron) told me that they have a long back order from special venues because everybody loves their products and they practically almost sold out when I visited that day. So I would recommend to give them a call ahead of time(408−528−8640) to place an order and simply pick-up these precious addictive little things, or else you will be disappointed that they’re sold out and leave empty handed. :’(

If you sell both macarons and milk tea, you’ve easily made the short list for my favorite snack spots! Love the macaron flavors here, they aren’t the kind you would expect to see at places such as Chantal Guillon but these flavors are right up my alley. These macarons have a nice amount of filling, aren’t too sweet and are just delicious. I will definitely be coming back here on a regular basis, I like that you can place orders as well. Will consider them for special occasions. The milktea was pretty tasty as well, going to try the crystal boba(?) next time. Oh! And a plus that they make the macarons on-site so you know they are fresh. Flavors I got today: Pandan Coconut Oreo Choc covered banana Thai tea Fruity pebbles Ferrero rocher S’mores Haven’t tried all of them yet, but so far ao good.

I love the macarons here! Wide variety of flavors! I came later in the day so there weren’t many macarons left for each of the flavors but I got every flavors they offered minus almond joy and durian! I love the textures and fillings on each and every one of them. My favorites so far has to be the passion fruit and the Oreos. My friend tried the green tea and she loved it! The baker did a fantastic job balancing out the sweetness on the fillings, not too sweet, but definitely not bland. If you guys love macarons, definitely check this place out! The owners are super sweet too! They also have loyalty cards so that’s a plus side!

So happy that I passed by this little shop before leaving Eastridge. It seems to be family run and the guy in charge was extremely helpful and nice. I’m pretty picky with macarons and the ones here were comparable to Chantal Guillon macarons! Delicate shell with a chewy center, yum. Definitely coming back to try every flavor.

The BBQ pork sandwich is so delicious! I definitely go back for some more. Their macarons are also really yummy, not too sweet. The textures and the surface of the cookies are very smooth, just the way I like them.

If you are looking for a not too sweet and delicious macarons, then you have to come to Hodo macs and Tea. I’ve tried Bouchon, Chantal and others macarons, but I still love Hodo macarons more! They have a variety of flavors for you to choose! My favorite flavors are durian and coffee! If you are a durian lover, you gotta check it out! They also have milktea and yummy Vietnamese sandwiches. I love how they have milktea with white pearls! I am huge fan of white pearls. I can’t wait to come back to get my milktea and macarons fix!

Best Macarons ever!!! Tried each of their flavors on their grand opening day and seriously love every single one. My fave would be of course, Durian!!! Also love their green tea and passion fruit as well. Just ordered a few dozens for my sisters birthday party and they were a huge hit! Cant stop thinking of them, might need to get some more tomorrow.

I admit it. I am a macarons snob. I’ve been to Paris and have tried Laduree, Pierre Herme, Sadaharu Aoki, Jean-Paul Hévin, you name it. In the State, I’ve tried Bouchon and endless boutiques. HoDo macarons is the shiet and in my opinion, comparable to the french macarons. The filings are moist and at the perfectly balanced sugar level(which is extremely hard to achieve). They have different flavors, but my absolute favor is the durian. In addition to the macarons, they also have milk tea(with white pearls! Watch out Gong Cha!) and vietnamese sandwiches(all made from scratch I was told). I had all three items over the weekend and had no complaint. Absolutely delicious. I am so glad I found this little gem and 120% will def. come back! A huge fan!

I tried one of each flavor available at the time. I’m no macaron expert, but these were top notch and the Asian flavors were awesome. My favorites were durian, pandan, raspberry and salted caramel.

This place just opened and I already have 3 stamps on my loyalty card! :-) SO many good macaroons. I always get the 6 macs for $ 11.50 deal. Flavors vary from green tea, to Oreo, strawberry cheesecake, coconut, smores, and much more. I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I’ve yet to try the milk tea. Love this place so glad they put it in eastridge.
