We dont come back anymore. Last time i was here, i tasted the worst milk foam ever in my life. I order green tea milk foam, and all i got was foam, tasteless! The boba is always tough, and the quality is so not consistent. I don’t know when i will come back when their quality decreases and disappointed me so much. This place was one of my most favorite place, but not anymore …

I came last wed night and they messed up my drink which I didn’t see until I got home. I came today(Sat) buying the same drink and told them about their mistake. I asked them to remove the 50cents cus of their mistake last time. It’s not about the money, but matter of principle. They REFUSED and saying I should have gone back told them about it THAT night!!! Shame on you guys!

I love Gong Cha and come here pretty often. Today I braved the pouring rain to satisfy my milk tea craving. A little sad to get back home and realize that my drink order was incorrect. The label says my order correctly, Milk Foam Green Tea with pearls, but as the picture I posted shows no pearls. Completely understanding of the mistake, just a little bummed that I paid for something I wasn’t given. Normally I’d go back, but the rain sucks way too much today :-(

This place was packed even after 3pm on a Tuesday. The line went out the door and apparently was usually like that. There were a lot of choices on the menu, but I ordered what Owie usually ordered. The Earl Grey Milk Tea with 3J($ 4.00 for a medium and $ 4.50 for a large). The 3J was pretty much pearls, egg pudding, and herbal jelly. I had to choose my sugar level and ice level. I noticed more milk tea places were doing that which threw me off and I told the girl to have it normal for both(100%). We waited for our drinks in the very limited seating area(maybe can seat ten if everybody squeezed together). The Earl Grey Milk Tea with 3J was good even though I usually don’t add the jelly or pudding. I would probably order the same thing if I went to another Gong Cha location. This Gong Cha location was good for milk tea, but there was very limited seating inside.

I really like how you can customize your drink in terms of sweetness and ice level. Fairly priced and I would recommend milk foam green tea.

They got my order wrong both in tea and on sweetness. For someone who doesn’t particularly like more sugar than tea, it was so bad. The milk foam was a disappointment, really salty and not much else. At least other places like Sharetea or Chatime have some kind of flavor to offset the saltiness of the cream. Place is very small, other places in the area that are better, both drink-wise and hangout-wise.

Love Gong Cha! My first time I came here, I came 5 days straight! My fave is the Wintermelon oolong tea and I add white pearl, crema, pudding and herb jelly. I also like the lemon Ai-Ju with white pearl and AI-yu. The only negative I have is sometimes there’s a long wait.

OOLONGWITHMILKFOAMANDGRASSJELLY. My boyfriends mom and I love Gong Cha to the point where if I whisper«gong cha» in the car, we’re going. Their other drinks are pretty good too, but there is always a favorite in my heart, and that’s the oolong with MF.

Lines here are a crap shoot. You can get in with about three people in front of you and before you blink there’s a new line formed out the door and you can count your blessings. I always go back to the same drink. It’s just so good to me. Milk Form Green Tea. The toppings depends on my mood, but I usually opt for the herbal jelly and basil seeds. Others drinks I’ve had and liked are the hot taro and the wintermelon was interesting. My husband really likes their oolong milk tea. Service here is ok. They make the drinks fairly prompt. I haven’t had issues with the quality of drinks yet. I’ve learned to ask for the drinks to be at least 75% sugar. 50% is too bland here. One issue I dislike is they don’t let me combine my punch cards. I have like 5 of them because I always forget to bring them and now it’s all useless. Oh well.

The employees here are always so pleasant. Makes going here a joy. Well, besides the awesome drinks that they make. I haven’t ordered everything on the menu but the ones I have have been wonderful. I, especially, like the milk foam milk coffee and the milk foam black tea with pearl. Basic but done right. The line isn’t as crazy as it was when they first opened so it makes the decision of stopping in a lot easier. The drinks alone makes it worthwhile for stopping in.

There’s a line here that’s capturing all the Berryessaite’s attention, and for good reason. The milk tea here is pretty stellar. Granted it’s one of those places that gives you a brazillion option list of ice/sweetness/straw/napkin percentage levels, when you get the formula right it goes a looong way like their line! I’m a milk tea/black pearl purist so I generally evaluate a shop’s credibility based off that. I almost never go for 100% sweetness and don’t kid me with an ice level more than 20%… I paid for a drink not frozen water to sweat out of my cup! I recommend the panda milk tea that comes with both black and white pearls, yes it’s 2016 folks, time to diversify your balls. 75% or less sugar, 25% or less ice = 100%(or less) satisfaction. Figure the math out for yourself and come early to beat the lines!

Same Gong Cha goodness now found in San Jose. A friend and I came on a Saturday afternoon and I was pretty surprised to see that there was actually a solid line coming out the door. We waited for about ten minutes before we ordered. This Gong Cha is smaller than other ones that I’ve been to in the area, so if you’re looking to sit in a café… this is not the place to go. Pretty much only good to grab and go here. There’s a small bar and maybe 4 seats, and a bench to sit on while you wait for the drink — otherwise, it’s a pretty packed place. I usually get a honey green tea with milk foam. Milk foam is what Gong Cha is famous for, so you have to try that. It’s a sweet/savory mix that tastes pretty good with tea. I’ve never really had it with milk tea drinks, but it definitely works really well with normal tea drinks. tldr; good stuff, this one is pretty small though, so not a lot of sitting room. still one of my favorite tea places in the area

I’ve been frequently this location the past few month because it now falls on my path to work. I have been hesitant on writing a review because they had never been consistent on service or quality… The employees are ALWAYS super friendly… Only that I would come in one day and they are quick and get my order right, but the next day they will completely mess it up or take FOREVER to get my order.(Given, I do always order between 2 – 4 drinks. Which seems the norm for every order I seen placed by other patrons) If you have the time, and are in the area. This place is worth a try. I mean, the drinks don’t taste bad, just check your order before you leave. i.e. If you ask for white pearls or no herbal jelly. Make sure that’s how they made your drink before you take off.

I haven’t really been to Gong Cha, just started going cuz I go to Wujis alot. First of all, I’m not really into crema stuff. But today I tried their brown sugar milk tea and WOW super impressed! I got herbal jelly and is it just me or does it taste sooo strong that it tastes like alcohol… LOL I know weird. But I did not like how strong it tastes. So next time I will get the pudding. I definitely recommend gettin the brown sugar milk tea, if you dont care for crema drinks.

Surprisingly the only boba tea we had when we were in the bay area. We had the Milk foam green tea, Pearl milk tea, and Oolong milk tea Had White Boba for the first time, its good, crisp but chewy. All were decent teas, the milk foam was pretty good though

I love Gong Cha after discovering my perfect drink: jasmine milk tea with boba and pudding. Gong Cha has the best jasmine milk tea I’ve ever had, it’s creamy, sweet, and still has a jasmine tea taste. The reason why this location only gets 4 stars from me is because they have a strange store layout. Ir makes it awkward when you have a long line but want to wait for your drink inside the store still. I didn’t really know what to do with myself. Service was great, drinks came out fast.

I wanted to take my coworker to a new boba spot(other than our usual Sharetea). The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the long line. As we were standing in line, I realized the service here was really slow. There are about 4 – 5 workers in the back, but the drink servicing time is soooo slow. But to be fair, I did see some people ordering a large amount of teas. I got the green milk tea with pearls and my coworker got the green milk tea with pudding. My coworker really liked the pudding! The pudding is sweet and kind of tastes like maple syrup LOL. I should have ordered my green milk tea with pudding instead of pearls because the pearls today was not so yummy. It tasted plastic-y today. I have been to this location before, so I know that it does not always taste like this but I was pretty disappointed. This boba place takes card and gives out a stamp card as well!

Very slow service for a so-so pearl tea. It took about 20 minutes from beginning to end to get a drink. 5 minutes in the line and 15 minutes waiting for my drink. The worker was friendly and the instructions were simple. 1. Choose a drink 2. Choose a size 3. Choose sweetness 4. Choose ice level 5. Choose toppings I could see while waiting that the drink making process was very inefficient. I saw the girl in the back double /triple checking all the cups to see what toppings are in them and I saw some of the people in the back staring into the drink as if they weren’t sure what was in them. I tried a Taro Milk Tea(one of their best sellers) and it was one of those powder made ones. The top it off, the seal was not on all the way so when I tried to mix the pearls up, it spilled. Why go here when there is a Share Tea across the street?

Gong Cha is one of my favorite boba places in the Bay Area. I wish it were closer to home though. but maybe it’s a good thing that it’s kind of far from me or else I’d be wasting my money by going everyday! I first came here with a friend who suggested that I get the Ice Cream Black Tea and I fell in looove! It’s the perfect drink for the summer. The ice cream takes up a lot of space in the cup though so you end up with not that much tea to drink. My go-to drink is the MF Black Tea topped with black pearls, 100% sweet, and 50% ice. The pearls here are firm and chewy so that’s another plus. I’d suggest always asking for less ice because you don’t want to have more ice than tea. The service here is pretty good. My friend ordered the Matcha Smoothie and did not like it because it didn’t taste like Matcha at all. She complained to the manager and he was nice enough to offer her two free drinks on her next visit.

My goal recently has been to try every new boba tea shop that I happen to come by and today, I’ve tried Gong Cha for the first one. I arrived at the shop, surprised to see the line started inside the shop at the register, all the way out the door. It took about 15 minutes in total to get my drinks. This place was definitely a lot of hype. The wait was worth it, in my opinion and the taste lives up to the hype. I got myself the Milk Foam Earl Grey Tea, topped with white bobas, egg pudding, 50% sweetness, 50% ice. My mom got the Milk Foam Wintermelon, topped with white bobas, egg pudding,(this drink does not have customizable sweetness), and 50% ice. The sweetness scale of this shop runs a little on the sweeter side. So 50% sweetness here was still quite sweet, I can’t imagine how sweet 100% would be. But perhaps with experience, I will get 25% sweetness next time. My mom felt the Milk Foan Wintermelon was too sweet and was disappointed in finding out that she couldn’t choose her sweetness for this drink. She still really enjoyed her drink and liked the unique Wintermelon taste/aroma. WHITEBOBAS. These were soooooo delicious. The texture of this is very different compared to the usual black bobas. These were chewy, with a subtle sweetness and lots of fun! Definitely going to try these babies with other drinks on the menu next time. The space is a little crammed, despite of how busy the shop gets. On a busy day, there may be no place to sit and wait. I recommend Gong Cha to perhaps set up more chairs/tables inside their shop.
