I haven’t walked into seafood city in such a long time and then I saw Simple Tea. Taro anything is my favorite. I kept insisting to make a taro milk tea, but for some reason the girl kept pushing me to order taro milk seeing that taro milk tea wasn’t on their menu. However I wanted them to mix the taro mixture into the milk tea that they have. I guess I ended up getting the taro milk because the girl was getting annoyed already. It has coconut milk, taro pudding, milk, boba, and ice. What turned me off was when the barista was making my drink(he as still in training) and he was splashing out chunks of taro while mixing. After that the girl who was working the register, who recently just held my money, didn’t wash her hands, she put the ice on top and used her bare hands to make sure the ice didn’t fall out. She touched the ice with her hands! That’s so gross. If this place gives me a stomach ache, I’m going to report them to USDA or whoever. That’s just unsanitary! I am extremely disappointed. Oh and the drink was overly sweet. The flavors don’t work well together at all. The drink wasn’t mixed well either. I would give them 0 stars if I could. I wanted to give their other drinks a try, but looks like after my first impression, I won’t be coming back.

I have experienced many milk tea/boba places around Milpitas and San Jose. While I was shopping inside Seafood City, I came across to this small boba place and decided to give it a try! They offered free samples on their counters and greeted me with warm welcome. So… I came across sampling Strawberry green tea lemonade and Milk tea. I took a sip of the strawberry green tea lemonade and it was AMAZING. I literally fell in love with that! Second, the milk tea tastes really good in terms of other places, you can’t really actually taste the REAL tea because it’s watered down or thy add too much milk. I would recommend my friends and family to try this place. It’s affordable and reasonable! Will be back for more!
