El Pollo Loco

I was really interested in trying out this franchise for the first time. My chicken burrito was dry and somewhat flavorless. I would like to give it another attempt to see if my review changes. The service was swift and the seating was vast.

Always stop by here for a healthy, low cal chicken black bean bowl. The cashier is always super bubbly and energetic and the bowl tastes amazing all while being under 500cal. It’s not fine dining but for what it is, a quick stop for delicious and healthy grilled chicken, it does it well.

If I could give 0 I would. Store closes at 10pm according to sign on door. It was 9:25pm and the workers were totally rude. Avoiding me like the plague. Should change sign and everything that advertises that store closes at 10pm.

Chicken was dry i spent 60 dolls on 2, of the 12 pieces of chicken I just wasted my money they don’t even put any salsas on my order bad experience:(I call back 3 times they never answer so that’s why I decided to add this comment.

Me gusta este lugar mucho. La comida siempre es fresca y tiene buen sabor. El restaurante es limpio y el ambiente es muy agradable. Yo lo recomendo. /​From time to time I eat at this El Pollo location. They are friendly, accurate with the orders, the food is always fresh, the restaurant is clean and has a good atmosphere.

this place is horrible, had the shits for 2 days. i was a first timer and i expected the food to look like the picture but nope. my wife ordered the avocado bowl and it only had three measly little pieces of avocado and 70 percent was rice 20 percent was beans and cabbage and the rest was bits of chicken. as a latino this was a disgrace to my culture.

Went there at 9:45 and the doors were locked… I tried to open the doors and the employees were laughing. They close at 10! The El Pollo on El Camino is way better! Plus every time I come here (even hours before they close) they are out of chicken breast. I can see how they have such low ratings now.

This location is terrible! I’ve come in 3 separate times where they’ve had no chicken ready to sell. How crazy is that??? It’s only 7:30pm and they close at 10:00! Horrible.

Ordered a avocado burrito without cabbage, and instead received a burrito filled with cabbage no chicken… sigh…it’s not like they were that busy, can’t be that hard to make a chicken burrito… seriously !!!
Definitely disappointed, as I love this place. Won’t be back to this location that’s for sure.

There was a hair on my chicken breast. Some kind of lint in my cole slaw. The garbage cans were overflowing. Diarrhea in the morning.

I like El Pollo Loco, and this location is pretty decent. One time they were out of white meat, but other than that we have had pretty good service at this location and haven’t had any problems.

This would probably be the worst location that I have been to! My order two taquitos and three chicken tacos and two sour creams on the side which took 25 mins! They didn’t seem organized at all and I feel like service could of been a lot faster especially when orders after mine were being completed… I’d rather drive to the el camino location in santa Clara go through the drive thru where my order takes 5 mins. Probably won’t return unless I’m desperate!

The employees were very knowledgeable and when i asked what was in the salad they told me with a smile. They also delivered it to our table

service was so slow! I ordered a separate small mashed potato for my nephew and it took about 15 minutes because they forgot my order! What’s up with that???

I usually would be very happy when coming here but today the customer service was GARBAGE! The worst part was that I think it was the manager that have me this HORRIBLE customer service & gave me an insincere & not genuine apology for getting my order wrong. So, I’ve been waiting for 45 mins so far for a stupid tostada salad! This shit sucks. I work in retail also but damn she didn’t have to be a rude bitch to me & nice to the Mexican costumers (yes, I was watching when I had to stand in line again behind 7 customers)

Go to a real Mexican place, it’s cheaper and because we are in CA, lot’s of them.

This El Pollo Loco is decent. The people at the register are friendly enough. There’s a salsa bar offers a variety of salsas, onion, cilantro, jalepenos, lemons and limes. The chicken was pretty good for fast food I just give this place 2 stars because I don’t like paying extra for tortillas at a Mexican restaurant.

I’m disappointed at the dishonesty of the restaurant. I left my iPhone after lunch and When I got back to the office I called the restaurant within 15 min and talked to the on-​site manager, Cecilia Olaveras. She got back to me and said she’s looked everywhere and couldn’t find it and that she’ll call me back if she did. I got anxious so I drove to the restaurant and looked for it. Cecilia told me the same thing and pretty much gave me the cold shoulder. After I got back to the office, I realized I installed Find My iPhone App, and I was able to use it to track where my phone was. And sure enough, it showed that my phone was still at El Pollo Loco. In fact it was there all along until 4:59pm. (I kept a snapshot of the location with times recorded as evidence). I went back the second time to the restaurant and showed the evidence to Cecilia. With clear evidence, she still refused to do anything about it beyond insisting she doesn’t know where it’s at. She didn’t show any effort by asking all of her employees or to check the restaurant again and began ignoring me (and started helping a customer). I stood there like an idiot, and it was embarrassing. Then I demanded to talk to her manager and when she got a hold of him, all he said was if she couldn’t find it then it’s not there.
The truth is, El Pollo Loco does not want to search their employees because it would have been embarrassing to have them caught stealing. I am very disappointed at El Pollo Loco which I regularly visit. I will never go there again.

I don’t know about you guys but I recently discovered the beauty and deliciousness of El Pollo Loco and I haven’t turned back since! It appears Connie C. is in agreement so it’s good to know, as a foodie, I’m not alone!
For the most part, El Pollo Loco might seem just like another fast food greasy restaurant chain, but amazingly enough they are NOT! They grill their chicken fresh and they have many fresh choices such as grilled chicken burritos, tacos and bowls. The chicken is flavorful, juicy and filling and the salsa bar is awesome since they have this yummy avocado salsa as well as their spicy salsa that actually delivers a kick.
The food comes fast, it’s cheap and it’s healthy tasting and fresh. What more can you ask for from a fast food joint?

Me llamo Connie C y estoy loco por El Pollo Loco.
Besides Popeyes (which I have already admitted to being a guilty pleasure), El Pollo Loco is one of my favorite fast food chains. It’s probably one of the healthier fast food joints (or at least I’d like to believe). Plus it’s super cheap and tasty.
I can enjoy a satisfying meal for under $ 5: two $ 1 flame grilled chicken legs, one $ 1 taco al carbon and a side of Mexican rice. All for 545 calories and 15g of fat. Yes, I used their muy fabuloso online nutrition calculator.
Plus, a super cool thing happened during my last visit. When our order was called, my guy went up to the counter to pick it up. Before he could, a gentleman next to him told the guy behind the counter to get us two new chicken legs because the ones on our plate weren’t to his liking. I’m not sure if they were too small, or didn’t look juicy or hot, but the two new ones were plump and right off the grill. The guy happened to be the big boss, who also owns all the other El Pollo Loco locations (in Northern CA at least). Talk about caring about his product! The guy was super nice, and there’s something to be said when the owner actually eats at his own business and waits for his order just like everyone else. What a great way to test out quality control.

Some menus have too many choices, this is one of them, it’s all over the place. I settled on the rice bowl and had no regrets. They serve up large portions filled with good chicken. Unfortunately the salsa is just ok, it has no kick.
I swiped some of the bf’s mac & cheese but it wasn’t quite as gooey as expected, their cheese congeals quickly.
Overall, it’s an affordable, fast, satisfying meal.
