This is one of my favorite Mexican food places. It’s better than la Vic’s and iguanas. The green sauce is amazing, I usually get the steak burrito but both the quesadilla and tacos are good as well.

Finally… found a spot with really good tacos in South Bay. All the other places ppl recommended disappointed, this one didn’t. This place wouldn’t stick out in LA because there’s so much good competition and no one would over pay $ 2 for tacos, but def a winner for South Bay. Tortillas 5⁄5 good and greasy al pastor 3⁄5 looked the part but Def had way better Buche 5⁄5 my fav, oily and fat like it should be Lengua 5⁄5 damn… Orangey spicy salsa 5⁄5 bruh… Took that al pastor from a 3 to a 4. Price 2/5.but hey my options are limited, imma pay

Sooooo good! My boyfriend and I come here almost once a week and get the carne asada tacos and a carne asada quesadilla. They are super fast and convenient if you just want to get something easy. We did try the chorizo tacos once and they were okay. Asada was way better!

I was thoroughly disappointed, Unilocalers, you have let me down once again… I would consider getting tacos here if I’m drunk but never again when I’m sober. The pollo was overly salty and the tortillas were drenched in oil, really, I watched them dip it in meat fat! The salsas were the only thing good. I also had lengua tacos and boy were they tough. The best lengua tacos are in Sunnyvale at Lakehaven and Lawrence at the Valero/Shell gas station where a guy serves it on the back of his ghetto rigged old white pick up truck turned taco truck. You will thank me later once you’ve tried it. People from all over the bay come to his truck for the lengua tacos. They’re that good!!! He parks on the street because the he does not have a vending permit on the premises.

I’m really shocked this place got such phenomenal ratings. I suppose it is because they’re open super late for all those people who are drunk after Santana Row hopping on weekends … but still the rating is shocking in comparison to the actual quality and taste of the food. First, the corn tortillas are really cheap. They literally fall apart if you don’t eat your taco within about 5 minutes. This means if you ordered three tacos, by the time you get to the 2nd one or the 3rd one the tortilla on the bottom will be soggy and fall apart and the second tortilla will be sticky. Gross. You might not realize this, but high quality tortillas REALLY do make and break a taco! Then there’s the meat. I didn’t have much of an issue with the lengua, but then again lengua is usually much fattier and more delicious on its own sort of irregardless of quality. Not so much for the carne. This was a complete disappointment as a legitimate taco truck taco.

This food truck is pretty bomb. Great choice if you want Mexican late-night. Ordered the Asada Burrito, Chicken Quesadilla and Asada Taco. The taco was your average taco. The burrito was your average burrito. Both solid. Both good choices. The best item on the menu are the quesadillas. The meats are juicy, cheesy is melted and the tortilla is toasted nicely. It is also served with guacamole and sour cream. Then you help yourself to a traditional side bar of sauces and veggies(wish they had more pickled carrots). These Quesadillas are really good. Parking: Mitsuwa parking lot Overall: Will return when feeling Mexican Late-Night.

I work near where they park(by Shell gas station) and everytime I pass by it I always see a long line! Finally decided to try it one day. I ordered asada tacos($ 2 each). They were the best tacos I’ve ever had!!! I’ve only tried asada tacos so far. Gonna need to try others soon. There’s going to a long line most likely, but it’s worth the wait! My new fave spot!

The bf and I were hardcore craving some taco truck tacos after experiencing some really good ones in LA. One of the homies suggested we give this spot a try. Though I thought the tacos were a little overpriced, they were pretty tasty. We were total fatties an got the following types of meat for our tacos: campechanos(steak&chorizo), pastor, lengua, and carne asada. For the most part each taco was sinfully good and dripping with grease, but a couple of the meats such as the chorizo option was a bit too salty for me. Overall, if you are seeking some decent tacos and willing to pay a little more then definitely check this taco truck spot out.

Best tacos in bay area. Open till 1:30 and really fast service as well. I usually get steak(asada) or chicken. They are really out of the world. Even after moving far away from Saratoga ave, i still go there whenever i crave for tacos.

I was hungry on the way home one day a few months ago, and I noticed there were a couple taco trucks at gas stations on Saratoga Ave. I happened to try this one first. So glad I did! I got 3 tacos to go — 2 lengua, 1 masisa. All were delicious!!! Green sauce is awesome as well! Limes on top were great! Oh, and: GRILLEDONIONS. Whoa! I think I could make a whole meal of those too. The truck is conveniently located and you can park in the lot in the Mitsuwa market shopping center. They are friendly, take credit cards, pack food nicely to go, and I’ve never been disappointed! I just told my housemate about this place after she asked me about good Mexican food nearby. She went straight there and ordered 3 tacos. Now I’m in trouble because she just walked in the door with them and I’m drooling uncontrollably. :-) I’ll be back, and will send more friends as well! Hope they’ll keep the truck coming!

Since I’ve discovered this gem, I can’t say that I’ve found another place that makes better $ 2 tacos than this taco truck. I have nothing but a whole bunch of a reasons for why this taco truck is so awesome… — Taco tortillas dipped into meat fat/juice before placed on plancha — Lengua is amaaazingly soft and tender(my personal fav) — Al Pastor!!! and Asada!!! — all super flavorful — Freshly chopped onions and cilantro!!! — say YES when they ask you! — Homemade sauces(pretty spicy, so use with caution. but SOGOOD) — Sweet, grilled onions and slices of lime to go with your tacos. *_____* — Pickled jalapenos to your pleasing — Friendly service and they take credit card To be fair, there are slighttt cons to the tacos, but none of which would stop me from coming back. — The tortillas get soggy quick so eat as soon as possible and avoid putting sauce till you are ready to eat — Champechanos(steak & chorizo) is a little overly salted for my preference; I would skip on this because I don’t think the chorizo adds to the taco — Probably a gazillion calories and fat to each taco, but let’s look past that and enjoy freely c: Get at least 2 tacos because 1 is NEVER satisfactory and will leave you craving for more of these bad boys. You will thank me for telling you so. My mouth is freaken watering just thinking about their tacos again… I might just have to have it again tonight… Btw — they teeter between the Vallero and Shell station, so don’t be alarmed if you don’t see them where they were last at!

Pros: Only $ 2 per taco Lengua(tongue), Asada(steak), and Pastor(pork) tacos were BOMB. Salsas ranging from mild, medium, hot(they were all delicious). You know they’re good because they always have a crowd! Awesome hours! Cons: Longggggg wait. …That’s about it! But that’s not even really a con, because you can call to order! If you want authentic, fresh, delicious tacos THISISTHESPOT. I was also pleasantly surprised as to how amazing their grilled onions are. It comes with the tacos and they’re so mouthwatering! It’s definitely worth the wait(which if you don’t want to wait, just call ahead). They’re really hard working people who bring amazing food to the neighborhood!

If you want authentic Mexican tacos, this is the place. I’ve had tacos from Tijuana down to Rosarito, and these tacos were a comparable fit. I ordered 3 asada and 2 chicken tacos. Took about 10 minutes for the order to get called up. It was a bit crowded before I ordered, so I had a good feeling about the place. Upon seeing the tacos, they were covered in cilantro and onion: good sign! All the tacos I had in Mexico were bombarded with these two ingredients. On a corn tortilla, the meat is generously topped on. Both very flavorful in addition to the blanket of cilantro and onion. Of the two types I tried, I prefer the asada. The chicken lacked the smokiness that I was expecting. SALSA! This food truck has gooooooooooooooood salsa. All of which are on the spicy side, I would recommend the bright orange/red salsa(the spiciest). But make sure you ask for the # of cups you want for your salsas of choice when you order. If you want jalapeños or pickled radish with your tacos, ask for a plastic bag. Overall, this was a great late-night meal. Tacos were reminiscent of authentic Mexican tacos, and, at $ 2 a taco, you’re in for a treat.

Amazing! Best Mexican food in San Jose by far! Really really close to authentic Mexican food. Tacos and burritos are my go to choices. Their cooked onions are bomb. All salsas are delish! Cooks/Staff are the nicest and they are super friendly too! A little tip they are closed on Wednesdays and sometimes they have a 2nd truck across the street at the Valero station, but the food didn’t taste the same to me. Feast on folks!

I usually get the Chicken and Carne Asada tacos here and they are amazing. Especially with the green sauce. They have a bunch of other things to get like burritos, chorizo etc. My only complaint is the salsa they have just kind of lying in some ice but its uncovered so bugs or whatever can just fly in it or whatever. I didn’t see any bugs but I don’t think they realize its kind of unsanitary. The staff was cool and the truck is right next to a corner store and gas station so i walked in and grabbed some fountain drinks.

The food is «the bomb» here don’t confuse this taco truck for ones across the way. I believe they changed the name on the truck but there is always three guys in the kitchen wearing Maroon and black chefs coats working at this one in the Shell Gas Station. Don’t be fooled, another thing the first window opening to the left side is cooked meat not drinks. Keep your eyes open. Quesadillas are always on point Tacos are at a great price and the grilled onions served with them are always perfectly cooked and delicious !!! I did however notice this picture I’m going to post today… Is this a knock off truck ?? Next time I go to eat here I will post pictures of the food and employees… ENJOY

I’ve seen this truck many times but never stopped until a few weeks ago. My daughter and I were looking for something easy and different for dinner and this popped up while searching on Unilocal. When we arrived we noticed there was another truck across the street with a line of people and this truck had no one. Hmmm decisions decisions. We opted to take our chances since it got such good reviews. I ordered a cheese quesadilla and two tacos. My daughter got the chicken burrito. Tacos: tasty filled with a good amount of meat. quesadilla: this was my favorite. Simple but delicious. The cheese was perfectly melted and the tortilla was crisp and not burnt. Chicken burrito: inedible. The burrito was large and filled with plenty of meat and the rice/bean ratio was good. But the chicken was disgusting. Loaded with fat(chicken fat isn’t acceptable) gristle which made my daughter totally grossed out. I can honestly say, no matter how great the quesadilla was, we won’t be giving this truck a second chance. Bummer

I needed to find my happy place again after a really crappy week at work, so I figured tacos would hit the spot without making me feel like I stuffed my face to points of massive regret. But my normal taco truck was too damn far, so I figured I’d try this one instead. Well, I’m glad my normal taco truck was too far because this is DEFINITELY better. Good sign? When you see hella people waiting outside the taco truck. You know who’s there because it’s been the taco truck they’ve been going to for a long time(the Mexicans) and all those that found out about it through Unilocal(everyone that’s not Mexican LOL). Anyways, that was certainly enough validation for me. Stuck to some of the simpler meats for my first-ever run: carne asada, al pastor, and lengua. Carne asada is pretty good, but I’ve had better. The al pastor and lengua though… now THAT is where it’s at. I still rate Tacos El Gordo’s al pastor as #1 overall on my list, but this might slot itself right there at #2. And I liked how the lengua still tasted fairly solid and wasn’t too chewy while still maintaining it’s flavor. I mean, I feel guilty enough as it is eating lengua(look up the nutritional facts if you have no idea what I’m talking about). And unlike my other truck, they actually have different salsa options(three, to be exact) There shouldn’t be any issues with parking since the truck is on the edge of Mitsuwa’s parking lot, especially after Mitsuwa is closed. Oh and the biggest winner: THEYTAKEAMEX! The tacos are $ 2, but if they’re this good I have zero gripes. Bout to incorporate this spot into my weekly rotation.

$ 2 tacos, reminds me lot of the delicious street taco stands while in Cancun, Mexico. As authentic as you’re going to get in West San Jose. Al pastor even has the spit & pineapple on it, nice! Lengua is also soft, not chewy. Carne asada is the usual. Tacos come in corn tortillas that get soggy fast which is a bummer, I recall better quality tortillas when I last had similar tacos in the motherland, but close enough! Apparently there’s two trucks now, they’re hard to miss. Short lines, there’s kind of a wait if you do decide to order up a bunch of different meats.
