If you like a sandwich with plenty of meat and a tang that bites back? Best of the West with the Dutch crunch is out of this world! The crunch of the Dutch crunch, the chewiness of the roast beef, and the tang from the BBQ is the perfect combination. Pair it up with a free drink with a check in and you got yourself a great meal. To top it off, fast service and friendly servers. Strongly recommend!

Large portions — one whole sandwich could’ve fed two. Had the #1, which was a little on the salty for my taste. Sourdough roll was TOUGH, like cardboard. I felt like busting out the knife and fork and just eating the inside of the sandwich. I’m not sure what the hype is about — I’d rather have Ike’s or Subway, for that matter.

Decided to try a new sandwich location for lunch other than the usual subway togos places. Ordered the tuna… Figured can’t go wrong with a basic. Sandwich is freshly made, fresh ingredients, friendly customer service, they even take. And walk your order outside if you don’t wait in the building. Sandwich is also pretty big and price is fair and reasonable. Will come again :)

If capn’ crunch was a Baker instead of a strangely fatherly looking pirate who panders sugar to American youth in the form of breakfast, he would make the Dutch crunch bread here– it has that crust that is so crunchy, covering soft, supple spongy inside… It cuts your mouth, just like the cereal, but damnit you don’t care because it is so. Damn. Good. I get the chicken chipotle club here and really can’t bring myself to have anything else– crazy chipotle sauce, chicken, stretchy cheese and a generous heap of avocados just to keep me coming back. These sandwiches are huge– really only for binge days or a bad day when you just need to emotionally eat something carbolicious… And I suppose by the looks of my frequent buyer card here I have had many of those days haha.

CRAAAAAAABSAMMMMMY!!! This place is getting busier and busier and for good reason. Hits all my boxes(sense a theme there?). 1] good management 2] good employee training 3] consistently good food. I try to eat vegetarian when I can, but this place makes it impossible. At least they have something so tasty and satisfying I am not ordering Pastrami, which is what I do when confused about choice, and seeking comfort: The«Crab Sammy», as they call it. My heart thanks the Sandwich Spot. All my pals who«do» order non-fish meat here say theirs are as overflowing with meats as my Crab sammy is. I eat half at work, the other half, I either eat at 4pm when I’m bonking, or take home. It’s huge. Remember Subway when you could get that imitation«seafood» sandwich? Now, remember that it’s gone?(can you even remember that far back?) Well, not any more. Get it, bigger, fatter, and tastier, at Sandwich Spot and be glad for it. Order with no Bomb-sauce on the sammy and then ask for some in a container on the side. Dip that puppy and rejoice! Pro Tips: 1] get the card, get it stamped. Don’t be like me and be so flabbergasted at the flavor that you forget to whip it out. I did so, about 5 times, so dude stamped me 5 times today! got hisself a big fat old tip! 2] once you figure out your order, call it in. Step gingerly to the front of the line and pay for your sammy as others ponder the options.

Go for the Chipotle Chicken!!! There really isn’t much to say, it’s a sandwich shop that gets 5 stars across the board. If you are looking for a nasty sandwich and basic service you can go to Safeway around the corner, however if you’re like me and like/enjoy an excellent Sandwich then head to Spot.

My favorite sandwich shop in the south bay. Prices are much more reasonable than Ike’s, and they don’t skimp out on the meats either. Come in on the weekend for their tri tip sandwich! It won’t disappoint.

This place has some pretty tasty sandwiches! It may not look like it would from the outside but it sure does! It’s one of those«don’t judge a book by its cover» moments. The ingredients are really fresh and the flavors are spot on. Fast service and really friendly/polite staff.

Clearly, I’m addicted to Dutch Crunch, so anyplace that feeds my cravings gets 3 stars at minimum. Here I got the pastrami and cheese, which was warm and pretty good. It also came with their bomb sauce, which was ok, but not really that bomb. Despite the dud bomb sauce, the sandwich overall hit the spot. Also, it was a good size. Not so huge that you felt sick after finishing, but not so small that you were still hungry after. They also have a weird deal where for $ 1 extra dollar you get chips and a soda, whereas chips alone cost $ 1.25(or something like that). In other words, they’re pretty much forcing me to drink soda. Not cool!

@ first I didn’t like this place… why? Cuz automatically their sandwiches are warm. You have to tell them that you don’t want your sandwich like that right when you order. So I got #18 which is the Flyin Hawaiian. I don’t mind the bread and meat warmed up, but I prefer my pickles, tomatoes and lettuce cold. Well I guess from then is when our relationship started and it wasn’t on a good start. I ended up eating just half of my sandwich cuz I just couldn’t take it anymore. So after that I told my BF, I’m not coming back. Most of the staff is nice, friendly and informative. Which is good. They also have a stamp card, or in this case a punch card. Buy 10 sandwiches and get the 11 free. Also you can make it a combo for $ 1 more. Chips and a drink. Well getting to now, I have come back since the BF likes this place and now I do say to make my sandwich cold. I get questioned about it, like«are you sure?» Ummmm… I should say no next time lol. I don’t ask things if I’m not! Yes, I’m weird. O well. And now that I get it the way I like it, I can say this place is good. Everything always tastes fresh and their breads aren’t really hard or to where I feel like I’m going to break my jaw from chewing for 5 mins just on bread lol. They have different breads to pick from. I get the sourdough or dutch crunch. A good selection of chips, and different sandwiches to pick from. Different cheeses too. You can also create your own masterpiece as well. They also have soup. Which I want to try soon. So overall, yeah this place is good for lunch. Right under $ 10 just for a sandwich, and little over $ 10 if you do make it a combo.

OK, this place is really a treat. The customer service was probably the best I’ve ever had at a sandwich place. Yes, five star service at a sandwich place. Who would have thought? This place reminds me a lot of Ike’s, but a little cheaper, and the sandwiches aren’t as good,(barely) Don’t get me wrong, the sandwiches are truly damn good. Really good in fact and if you check in with Unilocal, you get a free fountain drink. Not bad. Price is around $ 7.95 a sandwich which is pretty much the norm now for sandwich spots. Still, the service was top notch and the sandwich quality was pretty darn good. Thumbs up.

Holy smokes this place is DANK! We stopped in to get a late lunch this past Sunday and I have found one of my new favorite places. For all the folks saying«Ike’s Wannabe» that is not a bad thing. they are making a delicious sandwich so I say HUZZAH! EATS: I had the #19 San Jose Gigante: turkey, prosciutto, avocado, Swiss, and all the fixins on dutch crunch… even writing it now, reminiscing on the the complex flavors, makes my mouth water with delight. He had the #16, the The Dirty Bird: turkey, avocado, bomb sauce, cream cheese, with all the fixins on Dutch crunch. This sandwich was the best kind of dirty there is… I was tempted to eat half his sandwich but he wasn’t having any of that. Atmosphere: they are in on the chill factor. The have tiles with various bay area sports teams and have two tvs with sports on. The folks who are making the sandwiches are super chill and very friendly. The gal behind the counter who was taking our order was super friendly. There was a woman who was behind us who asked what the bread options were, and although they are literally written all over the menu and right in front of her, the staff member was very nice and read off the options to her, a no eye-roll kind of awesome! You can also eat outside which I am sure is awesome in summer! Tip: You can order this on Door Dash(hellz yea) Pro-Tip: Check in on Unilocal and you get a free fountain drink. Pro-Pro Tip: Get the Iced-Tea(there is a picture of Ice-T on it so you will laugh you a$$ off like I did. check the picture I posted if you would like a chuckle)

So I am quickly becoming the sandwich spot’s biggest fan! Every time I come here the workers are extremely friendly and my sandwich is delicious! And did I mention that the pricing amazing(I’m on that student life income) I don’t eat meat so I stick to the veggie sandwiches but they are extremely fulfilling which is why I keep coming back.(Although it would be amazing if this location also had the vegan chicken option) If you visit make sure to get the sandwich card that they punch for you with each visit, it’s always a great feeling to get that 11th one free. And if you live in Sunnyvale make sure to check out their secondary location out there it is equally amazing :)

The Sandwich spot is bomb, as their bomb sauce promises. I picked up sandwiches at the Steven’s Creek location today and had a great experience including great service. The Monarch is an incredibly unconventional sandwich bursting with flavor. I will be back for my 10 card punches and a free sandwich!

I had to chance to stop by this location one day during lunch time since I was in the area and was expecting something really really great but was slightly underwhelmed. I had Unilocaled a place in the area for lunch and this seemed to be the best bet nearby. I did not have to wait in line very long as I got my pasta salad before my sandwich came which was good as an appetizer. The pasta salad wasn’t what I was expecting… I thought it would taste a lot better and not be so simple. Basically pasta with olive oil and some chopped olives… meh. The dutch crunch isn’t spectacularly crunchy or anything. Problem is the more locations these sandwiches spots expand to the quality of the bread consistently goes down. What happened to the days of good ol’ Ikes(first location) quality locally sourced bread??? Too thick and wholesome for the average consumer?!? Ahhhh, those were the good ol’ days. The weather was perfect to sit outside which I recommend as it gets very stuffy inside here. The sandwich ingredients were very filling and the turkey I had in my sandwich was pretty good. It was not overwhelming and I was able to finish everything including the pasta salad. It just didn’t have the 5th element of taste that really hits you. The Master Mitty — $ 8 Turkey, Bacon, Cheddar Cheese & Avocado… you always want Ava… cado in your sandwich if it’s available! It seemed to be a hugely popular sandwich here… but it just didn’t have that WOW taste factor for me.

I didn’t know this but all the Sandwich spots sale the same combos they are just named differently. This one is kind of small. Staff is nice, they are young kids 18 – 23 from what I can tell with an older manager! Everyone was nice. They made the sammich in like 4 minutes so it didn’t take very long. It was a good one :) I always get the number 14… Its in a Safeway shopping center on the left. Theres this weird looking bench outside to eat on… Inside seating would be crowded at lunch. A+ as an establishment

I like this place and feel it’s comparable to Ike’s. My favorite sandwich here is the Monarch Madness & I get it with everything on it. Their secret sauce(Garlic and olive oil combo) adds even more flavor. I absolutely love this sandwich paired with their Dutch Crunch bread I’ve also tried the Tri-tip sandwich which is more like really good slices of roast beef than slabs of tri tip. I want to try their crab sandwich next! The only issue I have with this place is it’s cleanliness /tidiness. At the end of the day I noticed a lot of dirty footprints all over the restaurant’s white tile. Also they hide the sandwich while they make it(there is an aluminum covering over it) and it makes me wonder why — would prefer to see them making it.

So you queue and wait a total of 33 minute to get… a…sandwich… … ok. Why not. Now the sandwich. My bread(sourdough) was way under cooked, extremely stodgy. I ordered the vegetarian sandwich. Some parts of my lettuce were bad(see my photo). The sandwich is supposed to have avocado. There was indeed one very tiny ridiculous micro slice of avocado(black, old. See my photo. it’s half of the ‘slice’…). The sandwich was very dry(because of the bread heavy density and thickness I guess). Of course for 6.99 with drinks and chips, it can somehow be acceptable, but the whole concept of waiting so long for cheap food that’s has nothing special and ain’t that fresh just doesn’t go well with me. The pasta salad. Sorry but I must say it was terrible. Over cooked, too much vinegar. Tasted like industrial salad. Very friendly staff.

Mmmmmmm! A new discovery for me. I drove into this shopping center in a hurry for something quick and was headed towards Panda Express. I looked over and decided a sandwich sounded better. Glad I made that decision! The menu is pretty large and most everything sounded really good. I decided to go all veggie and get the Tree Hugger on Dutch Crunch. First of all the bread was so good! It tasted freshly baked and had that perfect crunch on top. The veggies were fresh and crunchy but the avocado spread was the best part! It had a small kick that I loved. I will be back!
