It’s okay the quality of the meats could be better. The tacos are made with homemade tortillas and they are as big as my face. The freshly made Aguas frescas are really delicious and those i do give them a 5 star. Service is a 4 star as it can be variable. * The chorizo was really tastee in tacos I do not find it enjoyable is the smoke inside the restaurant. they have a bad circulation A/c problem. Basically your entire visit your eyes are burning. My boyfriends breakfast burrito with bacon was soggy and gross. My barbacoa plate was just good. The servings are really big. Another drawback they only offer one homemade picante(hot sauce) and it’s delicious but I prefer restaurants with an open salsa bar or that offer more choices of salsa’s or chile. Unfortunately they do not offer. Perhaps I’m spoiled or demanding but give me a break only one hot picante sauce? How boring! The bathrooms are a mystery perhaps outside? I might return I’m not sure yet. I am a sucker for homemade tortillas and the chorizo is tastee. The Aguas frescas are refreshing and delicious. I love the cheesy Mexican trinkets they have for sale.

This is my go to spot for menudo, albondigas, or any soups so delicious. The Chile is what gives it more flavor the natural drinks are amazing. The main worker which I think is the owner is really nice and has great customer service. My husband and I always leave with our bellies full and super happy. Very authentic Mexican soup a must come!!!

Great Mexican food. The building is extremely hot but the drinks are cold and the food is spicy. Truly a hole in the wall place with some of the best food around. I highly recommend.

Went in for an order of Huevos Rancheros about 2 months ago. The next day I was so sick to my stomach I could barely move off my bed and eventually I puked everything up and couldn’t eat for 2 days afterwards.

Very delicious! The location isn’t really good but the food is awesome. We were greeted right away & were given chips with beans while we waited. This was our first time trying some of these dishes. Never heard of a Pambazo or Pelangocha but it was great. We also has a carnita gordita which was good. Masa & tortillas are hand made. Menudo was OK only because my mom’s is always the Bomb. All was great. We’ll DEFINITELY be back. Oh I almost forgot to add that their Cucumber agua fresca was great!

Friendly place, limited menus, but they’ll make anything you want. Though it won’t taste like anything you had before. We had the Birria Burro which was JUST shredded beef, no birria sauce or seasoning, though a lot of beef. And a combo plate of a cheese enchilada and shredded beef taco. All freshly made, all bland. Very colorful, and good presentation of the combo plate, but cold and tasteless. Rice had no flavor, much like eating cotton balls. Beans were the worst ever, bland, cold, no flavor, much like dried mud. After 2hours, still burping the«food», YUCK! No mole on the menu… or chicken…, but very friendly owners! Guess we’re just spoiled from trips to Tucson, AZ. Go Cats, BearDown!

When you first walk in they will seat you and take your order even if you are ordering for take-out. The service was friendly and fast, I like how they served home made corn tortillas which is a plus for me plus they give you plenty of salsa to go with it as well.

Barbacoa!!! I love the lamb tacos on the weekends. I’m lucky enough that this restaurant is on the way home from one of my weekend mt. biking spots otherwise I think the location is in a part of town that doesn’t get a lot of traffic. The barbacoa tacos are tender and have a nice gamey lamb taste. They are served on home made corn tortillas that are made to order so it takes a bit of time but I don’t mind waiting for good food. I asked where they purchased the lamb at and the worker said they weren’t sure. I have a feeling the lambs are purchased weekly at a small farm around the corner from the restaurant. I see a sign off the road that declares lambs and ostriches for sale. If that’s the case that would be really cool. Local resourcing. Accompany my meal with a tamarind agua fresca and woohoo I’m a contented gal. The restaurant also features a lot of regional Mexican dishes that fall outside the usual taco, burrito, enchilada scheme. I have yet to try a huarache or one of their other unique regional dishes but looking forward to it on my many future visits as I attempt to work my way through their menu. I’m probably the only Asian person that frequents their establishment lol I’ve never seen anyone but Hispanics dining here, which is a good thing. I do have a bone to pick with these guys though. My barbacoa had bone fragments in it. They need to be more careful when selecting the meat from the little lamb because they keep that sort of thing up and patrons aren’t going to be too happy. Keep me happy, I would love to keep coming back.

Well, I have to update my review since little Tim M. from Sun City felt the need to criticize my previous review and I believe he misunderstood my «Authentic» comment. I have traveled to 22 of the 32 states in Mexico, lived in Mexico for 14 years, and, as you can deduce, had many authentic meals. Having lived in the San Jacinto Valley for 20+ years, I have sampled nearly every Mexican restaurant in the valley so I have driven«down the street». I see from your other reviews that you enjoy Mexican food, but unfortunately my friend, I am afraid you might lack the«Authentic» experience to be able to judge my «Authentic» comment. Most people in the U.S.A. have very little experience with Mexican food, occasional trips and vacations to tourists areas in Mexico do not expose you to the authentic flavor. In my personal opinion, most people would not enjoy authentic Mexican food because is not what they are used to. If you didn’t like the food, fine, write a comment about that. If you didn’t like the service, go ahead and let people know. If you don’t like my «Authentic» comment or think I have not driven«Down the street» to try other places… keep it to your self. Oh yeah, you are not typing a text message, writing«lmao» just looks bad. I stand by my previous review, this place has authentic Mexican food and delicious waters. I have always had great service and my non-Spanish speaking friends have never had an issue communicating with the friendly staff.

How Sad. This was Tony’s Takos about a 2 years ago, now it’s this dump of a taco, Mexican food shop. They even closed in the place, it had a nice open patio area old school takeout pioneer chicken joints look from the 60s, 70s. When I first walked the Spanish lady cook was still eating her meal, at one of the tables, she got up looked at me up and down, like I was some outsider 30 seconds later she asked if I need help or something in Spanish. Sorry I don’t speak Spanish this is still America no espanol. I said I would like to order two tacos to eat here, I was given a menu, OK two taco 1 asada 1 chicken and a soda, she said no soda you pick pointed to a soda case OK bottle soda lemon lime Jarrito. The soda was the best part of the meal. The Tacos. The Chicken Taco, the meat tasted like taco bell carnitas taco meat which isn’t very good in the first place. I guess it’s tinge marinated chicken, came with onions and cilantro. The Asada Taco, nothing that was much better, it did look like asada meat so that was a big plus also came with onions and cilantro. From the pass reviewer seems to thing this place is very authentic, lmao, dude the only thing authentic about this place is the cook and the counter helper. The tortilla are made fresh, it wasn’t that good, a thick doughy corn meal. 2 tacos bottle soda $ 6.70 tip $ 1.00 I could of easily gave this place a 1 star, but the taco where eatable and I didn’t need to toss anything out. 2 star for a inauthentic taco shop. It’s on ever corner in Los Angeles and any Spanish Mexican area of the US. To the pass reviewer get outside a little more, drive down the street you’ll see many more authentic taco shops. Yeah Right.
