My baby sister want something to drink after dinner and we saw tea spot. Decided to stop by and grab a drink. The tea turn out to be really good. I thought it wouldn’t cause the guy keep checking in with us since he didn’t have anymore earl mik tea. But I like my drink so does my family. Need to come back for the shave ice I took one star away for the wait cuase he asked us like two time what we order and I only order two drink

Came here the other night my first time. Place was pretty small and the atmosphere makes you feel like you were home cuhs of the sofa couches and seats. After quitting half&half, didn’t really go to any other tea station but tried their passion black tea and it was pretty good. Tried friend’s green apple drink and that was preety good too.

I’m on the hunt for a new boba joint since errbuddy and their moms know about Le Arbre now… and this place is definitely NOT it. I always see some of my friends check into Tea Spots, and finally gave it a try. The inside is more like a study lounge, but it was pretty noisy inside. I was gonna order my drink togo, and get something to munch on. but it felt SUPER awkward to just wait to order because of the tight and limited space there was. And not only that, it took forever to get my simple drinks, let alone my food. The two drinks we got… I didn’t like their milk tea, tasted weird. I ordered the peppermint milk tea with boba, yuck. WAY too sweet, and watery for me. The food on the other hand… I really liked their pepper popcorn chicken, very yummy and perfectly seasoned. A bit too salty, but it was good with the rice. The ground meat with mushroom was pretty gross though. Overall, I don’t know if I’d come back here. The 2 baristas there were a bit rude, and kinda rushed me. One of them didn’t even bother making eye contact with me when I was there. I felt pretty awkward standing around for my order in the tight spot, and not only that… there was hella high school kids there. Stay in school kids.

Went back again today with some friends! YAH! Improvement… somewhat? Order pepperment green tea and this was pretty good. My friends got the green tea and they both seemed to devour it down pretty nicely. Also can’t beat the amazing price for snowed styled shaved ice(AHHH! SOSOFFFTTT) for under $ 5, especially on a hot day. Oh Oh Oh and the best part… */drum rolls There was AC!!! I remember the last time I went it was just disgustingly stuffy and hot! Big improvement Tea Spots */applause The only thing that I didn’t like from today was that their couch(which looked used and abused) might have given me a rash –_– from all the dirt, dust, and people sitting on it(I’m pretty sure they don’t clean it). I can’t say for certain this is it, but I suddenly started to break out while sitting there, hence the one star down. But four stars is better than three right? :) Improvements are always nice.

So you have probably seen this on wangfu or on your way looking for food on valley. meh the two stars mean i have experienced better. Little seating… very little seating. The table was really sticky. I understand this is a dessert place but still would be nice to have a clean unsticky table when you just sit down. Shaved ice is very small. Not worth it. You have to pay extra for fruits which is kind of huh cause shaved ice = fruits. I admit the shaved ice is unique since it is snowy. But i had class 103 and i like that a lot better. The boba isn’t anything special nor was the other special drinks. There are other boba places that are so much better. The nice thing about this place is that there is a parking lot in the back. I see people going there to study but honestly can you study at a loud place. Other than that food was not the best and there is better out there. But if you want snowy shaved ice and are willing to pay for it go for it.

The cotton shaved ice is delicious. It really does feel like cotton in your mouth. MMmmm… It’s a little pricey and small, but it beats driving out to Guppy’s or Class 302.

Aside from this cash only deal, this boba joint is pretty damn good. There are down times, where I like it quiet and then there are the busy hours when it gets pretty loud. Either way, there’s free wi-fi and I’m totally zoned out catching up on my week long email messages. I love how they display the boba and jelly samples in a cup so you know all the flavors prior to ordering. To name a few, there’s the grass jelly, popping boba, regular boba, 5 different flavored mochi, lychee, aloe, and a couple more that I can’t remember. Smart idea =) They have plenty of outlets, comfortable air conditioning, really friendly customer service and delicious drinks. I haven’t tried any of the snacks, so I can’t comment. I’m fairly picky and I make sure they either put less sugar or less boba or more ice in my drinks. It boils down to, I like being able to customize my drinks. My favorite all time drink is the green bean icy. I’ve also tried the black tea and it’s really strong, where the caffeine gets me jittery the whole day. I have a low tolerance for caffeine so next time I’ll stick with some green tea. The Japanese matcha snow bubble tea is a definite good one to order too. The crowd seems to attracts more college and or high school students. It’s a friendly environment in a friendly neighborhood with enough parking. Don’t forget your get your frequent card stamped and redeem your free drink like I did. Sweet deal!

I really like the décor and feel of this boba place, it kind of gives off a homey feel. I ordered the passion fruit tea with passion fruit popping boba and it was pretty good. Not too sweet for my taste which is good. Service was ok, the drinks came out pretty fast considering that the place was a full house when I went. A plus was the fact that they delivered my drink to my table. Final Verdict: I will come here again and get some more popping boba because this is probably the only boba establishment that serves it around the SGV.

I’m really pleasantly surprised by this little shop. I’ve passed by this place so many times and thought it was a sit-down type of tea place. But this place actually does a lot of fast to-go’s stuff. Teas are good, Boba is pretty good too! And the price is excellent! Service staff here is extremely nice here. Don’t feel intimidated to stop here, give them a try if your around the area, you won’t regret it!

Tea Spots(plural?) has a good selection of drinks. They are also comparatively high in quality. I’ve had the standards, including jasmine milk tea, Thai tea, and milk tea and they’ve all been good. I’m not sure what time the special starts running, but certain times of the day there is a 3.99 special for food when a drink is purchased. Yay. If you’re interested in food, the curry chicken with rice is pretty good. Tastes like a home cooked meal. Don’t get the Taiwanese sausage dish with rice. The sausage I got looked sad and shrively. Good study spot, BUT depending on what time of day, and also what day it is. If you’re looking to do some serious studying and not in «let’s pretend to study so I can hang out with my friends or oogle at my crush and not really get any work done» mode then don’t go 1) during after school(high school) hours or 2) during the weekend. Those are socializing times. Studying there during other times is fine, great even, because there is Wi-fi and power strips galore. The music(mostly mainstream R&B, top 40 with an occasional Asian pop song thrown in there – nice little surprise, right?) can get a little loud so if you are the type that needs zen-like quietness to focus… going there might not be a good idea. During peak hours it may be impossible to find a seat, but that can’t be helped. CASHONLY.

Went back after awhile and… sorry to say… must downgrade. Ordered an Earl Grey Milk Tea, and somehow I guess the girl heard it as boba milk tea and proceeded to make it. At first I didn’t know what she was doing but when she pulled out a small 1L container(or smaller) already mixed milk tea, I knew she wasn’t making Earl Grey milk tea. As soon as I got it, tasted it and told her that it was suppose to be Early Grey. The manager there immediately changed it but when I see them pulling out another container of ALREADY mixed milk tea, even for the Earl Grey milk tea, I was super disappointed. I’m not a big fan of premixed milk tea since I think that’s a fairly lazy way of doing things, and part of the reason other milk tea places are doing so well is that they make theirs to order. It did taste pretty good and it seems like they didn’t add any sugar to the premade drinks so you can still customize the sweetness. Also tried a little bit of the honey boba. Not as good as the other spots, but not bad. Seems like they’ve added a few more items onto the menu. Still a good spot to study at though!

Tea Spots is on my list of top 5 places to go get boba because their milk teas/teas are actually decent and their price isn’t bad. Since they’ve opened until now, I’ve seen how much change they’ve done to the place as well as their menu, which isn’t bad. But like a few other boba places I’ve tried, it depends on the time you go and who makes your drink. :/ I stopped ordering their boba drinks from here because I don’t want to risk getting anymore hard bobas. :(I only come here for their honey green tea now, but it never tastes the same every time I get it and the only time it tastes the same is when it’s made by the workers that remember me. But I really enjoy their shaved ice here. :) Peach flavor shaved ice is my favorite! Yum!

We heard about this place thru a friend that has been there before. We were looking to eat some shaved ice and were planning on driving to Classroom 302 but we didnt want to risk getting there and them not having the flavor we wanted or having to wait forever. When we got to Tea Spots it was a very chill place. Not too many people there and it was pretty quiet. Wilson and I shared a shaved ice peach flavor with mango jelly, boba and condense milk. The cashier warned me that it might be too sweet but I LOVE sweet so I said the condense milk with it would be fine. I thought it was very sweet of her to warn me about it =) Good job. The shaved ice was big enough for both of us to share. My friend was going to order one too but they had run out of the flavor that she wanted. That was the only down fall of it. The boba was sweet and chewy. The mango jelly was also pretty good. As far as if we would go back, maybe. The place is small but nothing really stood out too much aside from the place being affordable and close to home.

I would say 2.5 stars. But the almond milk tea isn’t bad so ok 3 stars. I’ve been here only twice. From my experiences it seems like a high school hang out study spot. The décor is colorful. Was it red couches?! LOL yeah. RED couches. Although from tacky colors I would say this place feels pretty cozy once you sit down. Their drinks taste like tapioca express. HMM. I wonder why. Both times I’ve been here I have ordered Hot Almond Milk Tea. The only thing I have to complain about is the service for my first visit. I ordered my drink, got it, tried it, it was WAY too sweet. So I took it back to the girl at the front and I told her it was a bit too sweet and if she can make it less sweet for me. She looks at me a little annoyed and goes, «Oh, you should have asked for less sugar then.» So I got irritated at her bad service. I should have caught her name but I didn’t. I told her it was my first time here and I wouldn’t know how sweet their drinks are and she was just like«ok» and took my drink from me. Although I do understand that maybe this high school hang out spot maybe has high school students working, you shouldn’t be telling your customers what they should do or should have done. Had I knew your drink will be so sweet, I would ask for less sweet. DUH. My second visit, I ordered the same drink and asked for less sugar. It came perfect. Just a little too hot but no biggie. I would rather have my drink hotter than lukewarm.

Quick and fast service. It’s small but a quiet place to get my work done quicker. What sucks about this place is that in order to be sitting down you have to have a minimum purchase of $ 2. You can’t bring your outside food or drinks in. Even if its just a snack they will tell you to trash it. If you make it here before 6pm the french fries, pot stickers and potato temperas are only $ 1.00 !

This place used to be Sweet Berry, and I wasn’t really a fan of that place. I heard good reviews from friends, so I stopped by with my sister and friends. The place is really small and packed, so there isn’t much parking in the back. There are two tables to sit at in the back of the place, and it’s shaded. Inside there are tables, couches, seats, and plenty of areas for a small group of friends to go and hang out. They accept cash only, so be sure to have some money on you. The prices aren’t as pricey as Tenju, but around the same price as Quickly’s. They have snack foods, meal foods, and lots of drinks. They’re short on staff at the moment and are looking for people to work there, so it’ll take a while for you to get your drinks. I ordered the jasmine milk tea with boba, and it’s delicious! If you order something sweet like the lychee green tea or the green apple honey tea, expect an explosion of sweetness. The workers there are friendly though, and it’s a nice place to hang out, so I definitely recommend coming here. There’s also a buy one get one free for boba milk tea or thai tea boba, but the offer is only for to-go orders.

I love new tea places! FIrst came here because my friend’s sorority was having a fund raising event here. Tea was okay, food was okay. But I’ll definitely be going back. Best customer service at any tea place I’ve ever been too! And also really great deals. They have a happy hour menu and buy one get one free drinks! Seriously, that’s a fricken good deal! I wish the place was a bit bigger but they have wifi & couches and are open late! Perfect for studying. THe second third time I went there I think it was the manager who was helping me out. I can’t stress how good their service is. I was hoping it was happy hour but it wasn’t but he was telling me all the other deals they were having so I walked out with 2 large Green Tea’s for 3 bucks! Definitely going back soon! cash only though! remember that!

After the old Tea Spot closed down, I have been in search of an affordable and yummy tea house. To no avail until today when my friends told me that Tea Spot opened up in San Gabriel again. HALLELUJAH! I’m so happy I think I might faint. Owned by the same owner as before, after the old Tea Spot closed down a new one opened up near PCC. However, there’s no way I was going to go all the way to Pasadena, no matter how much I loved their drinks. Now that its back in SG, I can’t be happier. Located right across from Howard’s electronics, it’s even closer than the old Tea Spot. Good amount of parking around back and the place itself isn’t bad either. Nicely lit and decorated with comfy chairs(and bonus free wifi!) it’s certainly going to be a great hang out spot. I haven’t had the chance to try their passion fruit green tea yet, as it was my favorite drink from the old Tea Spot, but I did manage to try out some food while there. The pepper crispy chicken with rice is pretty good too, nothing spectacular but my belly was satisfied nonetheless. It comes with a big portion of pepper crispy chicken(choice of spiciness from no spice, mild, spicy, and extra spicy), great big mound of rice, and a salad with sesame dressing and right now there’s a special. Normally its for $ 5.75, but now it’s only $ 4.56 + tax that comes to $ 5 exactly and hold on to your seats… it comes with a drink too! Not bad for 5 bucks huh? I’m definitely coming back soon and will update when I try the passion fruit green tea. Hope it’s just as good as I last remember.

3.5 stars. Pro: Crispy chicken, tempura, fish ball(pretty good portion). Free wi-fi. Convenient location. Con: Rice, fries, boba Somewhat decent: milk tea, green tea Their popcorn chicken is still good(can be a tad bit dry sometimes), but the portions are good. Their pepper crispy tempura & pepper fish ball are fairly decent as well w/reasonable pricing. Chilli cheese fries is on the messy side(which is expected). Like the chilli cheese part, but not so much the fries itself. Also, tried their Thai Seafood Udon Noodle. This dish is just average. The sweet tomato sauce is a lil too sweet for my taste, but I suppose w/out it, it’ll taste too bland. I do like their Earl Grey milk tea. Grapefruit green tea & papaya milk are acceptable/on the decent side. Don’t really like their boba, but they have other choices like jelly, aloe & pudding. The place isn’t that big. Usually it’s not crowded, but when it does… the 15 min wait is annoying. I do like how they offer free wi-fi tho. Their newest promotion is 99 cents on green tea, mini egg rolls, taro mochi, potstickers(4 pcs ea) from 6 pm til close on Sun ~ Thur. Prices are cool, but they taste so-so. Street parking or park in rear.
