I will never eat here again. So I’m sitting there having dinner when out of nowhere a homeless person walks up to my table and ask if he can have some of my food. I told him I’ll bring you something when I’m done then he made the rounds asking more people(which most were appalled). I never did see management remove him he just left. The food was overdone dry and nasty. The service was awesome! The waitress was so on it ! BTW people please tip the waitress when you go to sizzler or anywhere for that matter.

Sizzler has not changed, the food stays the same, which is good because you know what you are going to get. Can’t go wrong with the salad bar, bread pudding was nice and moist. Now the décor, that can change. Please Sizzler, replace your dining room carpet. Then I will be back.

Hate to say it but I think the concept of Sizzler is outdated and doesn’t fit in today’s casual dining scene. Honestly, I would probably give this place a two-star rating, if it wasn’t for the sense of nostalgia I have when i’m here. I think part of the problem with Sizzler, is that sense of nostalgia that I bring up… I feel like this chain hasn’t received a facelift since the 80’s. Most restaurants can’t afford to stay exactly the same for that long. The salad bar still has the same exact food, in the same exact spot from childhood. Same salads, same chicken wings, same tacos, same soups, and the same desserts. The quality is still the same, so I can’t say the bar has been lowered but as I get older, I realize the bar was never set too high. All this being said, You can’t beat the price. Add an all-you-can-eat salad bar to your entrée, and you easily have all your meals set for the entire day. For my entrée, I ordered steak and chicken. I ordered my steak medium rare and it came out medium. That’s more than fine because I like my steak medium and don’t trust restaurants to make my steak right; so my plan of ordering a medium rare steak in order to get a medium steak, worked! The steak was super small, legit, it was six bites. C’mon guys, you can make it at least eight bites. The chicken was surprisingly ok, not at all dry like I expected. The service at this location was ok. Our server Renee was good, but we came during shift change, so she was covering the cash register while being our server. In addition to giving the menu a facelift, the restaurant itself can use one as well. The late 80’s/early 90’s décor isn’t appealing to today’s generation of foodies. So Dear Sizzler, it’s time to revamp your entire concept, if you want to survive in today’s dinging world.

I ordered the beef tips over rice with a baked potato. The sauce did not compliment the beef and was not good, borderline luke warm to boot. This was not my main disappointment. I was told at the register that my dinner included the salad bar @ $ 10.99(per price on the menu before register). I found later that I was charged $ 13.99. I told the waitress about it and was told that I was looking at the senior menue. I was not. After dinner I was told it was part of the value menu by the same kid that told me it was included with my dinner! WTH?! Word of warning, the old guy was taking orders before the register did not ask but through it on the order. Nobody wanted to question him because he has worldly powers over the little people, apparently. No more for me thanks.

This is one of the few good sizzler locations on the planet. The food comes out fast and the salad bar is fresh throughout the day. The interior is dated but whatever. I would like a way to tip the servers with my credit and/or debt card. I don’t carry cash around with me because I live in the year 2015 and have evolved beyond the need for cash. There isn’t even an option to tip the servers when you pay for your meal before you eat. Just my thoughts. Food is pretty good though, you know for a sizzler.

We went to this Sizzlers for mother’s day and it was packed, but the service was great. It was my first time going to a sizzler and the food was good. The best part was there clam chowder soup and their bread. We ate like if there were no tomorrow. Our waitress was very attentive with us. We bought food and paid like 5 or 6 dollars more for buffet. By the time our food was out we were stuffed. This particular sizzler is an hour or so away from our home, but we will definitely be going to some near our area. My husband loves sizzler, but I has never tried it because I would hear that it was nasty, but its actually good. I think our waitress had phenominal customer service.

Nope. Went to the sizzler in San Bernardino about a year ago, and it was surprisingly good! So I thought I’d give this one by my house a shot. I actually used to go to this location as a kid, all the time. Well, it sucks now. Sorry, not trying to be mean, but it hasn’t been updated since the 80s(they even play 80s music. It’s almost like a depressing theme restaurant. The theme being«suicidal in 1987.») Ive only ever gotten the endless salad bar, so that’s all I have to go on, but the salad bar here was awful. So little selection, and nothing had any flavor. the peach cobbler was burned solid, and didn’t have a spoon to even scoop some out if you wanted to. They even managed to mess up dr pepper– it tasted flat and dirty. For myself and my 6 year old daughter, to only eat at the salad bar, it was almost $ 30! Ugh. Never again. The only redeeming aspect of this meal was the cheese toast. Obviously.

No salad for 20 min when asked a waitress slammed the bowl into the salad bar was rude the steak dinner was not cooked properly almost everything was empty in the bowls at the salad bar no tomato no cucumber the carpeting need to be replaced asap most likely if not cleaned up will not return to this location and a waitress wiped off the salad bar brushed it on the floor!

I hadn’t had a Malibu chicken lunch for 25 years, and had fond memories of my Malibu chicken years. What happened? Was I just in haze back then:)? I’m going the steak route the next time. No matter, if you’re in need a food coma, you have to add the salad bar. Wow, it was unbelievable that they had fresh guacamole, not out of plastic bag! The real thing, so it all evened out today at the Sizzler…

This isn’t so much a review of this Sizzler in particular, its about all Sizzlers I’ve been to in my lifetime. I’m totally padding this because I have such an emotional attachment to Sizzler(btw, its not Sizzler’s). It’s been my birthday spot since I was 8 years old. If you’ve seen the Anthony Bourdain CNN special on Koreatown(LA) where the Korean American artist takes him to Sizzler in K-town and explains the KA experience with Sizzler — yup, that was my family’s experience too. Well what can I say about Sizzler: its mediocre food. Service depending on where you go is generally passable. There are times over the 30 plus years I’ve been at various Sizzlers where the wait staff were really great, but generally speaking, you get what you pay for. For those who are uninitiated with Sizzler, there’s one thing you keep coming back for: the cheese toast. It’s a piece of bread drowned in parmesan/butter mixture and then seared on the grill. Possibly they give it a light dusting of crack. But best part? It’s unlimited :) The salad bar is pretty decent, though I am always suspect of the desserts. Now my standby is steak and Malibu chicken. Now I have no idea why I ordered this dish the first time as an 8 year old, but I did and ever since, I’ve been hooked. It always looks like shit when you get it, but the mustard and mayo sauce always makes things right. Oh, and the unlimited cheesetoast too. I never EVER order anything else. Strange man, I know. Tip: they always bring out A1 steak sauce, but ask for the Sizzler steak sauce. It’s much better in my opinion. It’s thicker, richer, and has a more peppery flavor to it. Never liked that watery A1 taste. The Sizzler chain used to be more bountiful in terms of number of restaurants. But they aren’t the best innovators of their menu. Think of how long it takes McDonalds to roll out a new sandwich vs Jack in the Box and you get my drift. But the restaurant chain provides a pretty decent value and for us nostalgic types, a good overall experience.

It was muggy inside. We came in when the air was broken, which really must have affected the employees customer service abilities. I’ve been to this location before and I’ve always asked for two baskets of cheese bread. This time when I asked, the waitress told me, «well I can bring you one» and walked away. Then when she brought the bread to the table, she threw the tray down and walked away. They were out of regular salad bar items with no explanation. I’ll just stick with coming in on Sunday afternoons versus Sunday evenings. The service is so much better.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. A few months ago, my family and I went to the WESTCOVINA Sizzler for the first time in years. That experience was great. Food was delicious and our server was a really nice lady who was constantly checking up on us. The experience was so good, I wanted to bring my sister back because she was away at school at the time. My sister and I are both back home for Christmas break, so my family decides we’ll go to Sizzler today for lunch. We chose this San Dimas location because it was the closest one to our church. From the outside, it looks like it is closed down, but there is a sign up currently that states the restaurant will be open Christmas day, so obviously the place is still in business. We walk inside and the place just looks old and dingy. We wait in line and I notice that there is a lady at the cash register and then another lady writing down everyone’s orders first. I’m not sure how much more effective this method is, but it seemed slow, as the line began to pile up. Both ladies at the register area were not very pleasant. Did not smile and were not very polite. The one at the register did not even look up at us the entire time. She also took forever getting the tray ready with our utensils and water cups. I just want to note that all the dishes we received were dirty and we had to wipe them all down with water before using them. The food was decent, not horrible, but I did feel like the salad bar selection was not as extensive as the West Covina location. The one(zero) star rating goes to the server named FREDDIE. He seemed pretty out of it today but he was also really rude to us. He took forever getting us things we asked for and did not smile to us at all. He also rarely came to check up on us. There are a few incidents that are making this experience one star, but I will not articulate on those because they are a private matter. I just felt like this server was judging us the entire time and would rather have been serving other people. There are some servers who make you want to come back to a restaurant over and over and others who make you want to avoid a restaurant like the plague. Freddie is one of those servers. We will not be coming back to this location. All of you reading this(if you come to Unilocal before dining) are better off going to the West Covina location. The food and service are a lot better over there and it’s also a lot cleaner.

Food ordered: All you can eat salad bar food: the food quality and selection here is terrible… stopped in to this location on my way from running errands for their salad bar lunch and was disappointed at the quality and selection at this location. I’ve been to other Sizzler locations and enjoyed the variety of make your own salad ingredients and the variety of made salads. Sadly, this location has just your basic salad ingredients. there wasn’t spinach available for salads, the cut corn & peas were mixed in one container, no bacon bits for salads. The items that were sitting at the bar didn’t look very fresh. Chicken wings tasted like they were fried the day before. Service: waiters did a good job clearing the tables, but didn’t have to do too much as we didn’t go back after round 2… Parking: lots of parking space in a private lot

Pros: 1. Food is delicious. 2. Prices have remained pretty much the same since 1999. I paid $ 9.99 for a Double Malibu Chicken back then and just yesterday, that same meal was just 50 cents more at $ 10.49. The quality is just as good as it was then. 3. Sizzler is the one of the few restaurants I know where a baked potato can be ordered before 4 p.m. 4. The clam chowder is just as good as it is at Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco. Cons: 1. The Salad Bar needs more variety. Adding some breakfast items like scrambled eggs and more finger foods like chimichangas, taquitos, or mini burritos along with churros would allow for more choice. Also, some people don’t eat pork or beef. Please consider having chicken as a topping for the tostadas. Maybe brownies or cookies for dessert? Sizzler has remained a consistently good value over the years. I agree that the carpet is due for a replacement, but other than that, I like the décor. Am I weird?

I wish I can give this place a million zero I go there because it is convenient even though the place sucks. Today, I got fed up and will report this place. From the get go… the cashier(Olivia) was extremely rude and not mannered, THEFOODWASTERRIBLE, we ordered chicken that was bone hard and tasteless. The salad bar was ok, and that was what kept me quite, finished my lunch and left. The server is very nice, she has been working there For a while. Please remove and replace the whole place…
