Looking for an amazing authentic Mexican seafood restaurant? This is the place to go!!! Under new ownership, the staff here is super friendly, very attentive, and did I mention the food is amazing?!! I had the ceviche tostadas and my husband had the chile relleno stuffed with shrimp. Mmmm, good! This place is a must! You will not be disappointed!

In my opinion, the best Mexican restaurant here in San Dimas and there aren’t many. They open early at 9am and serve Micheladas. Can’t beat that! Love their potato and asada tacos.

Place was a lot better with the other owners. I went in there a couple of weeks ago to have lunch and I ordered the chicken mole lunch special. When my food finally made it to me I was very disappointed. It was a scoop of beans, rice and a whole bunch of mole sauce. There was a little spoon of chicken and all this mole sauce. The server asked me if everything was okay, and I asked her where is all the chicken? ?? She said do you want more chicken and I said of course, this amount of chicken is a joke. Few minutes later she got me a little bit more meat which was sufficient. Then, I got the bill and they gave me a total amount not showing the breakdown of the cost, so I added it up and they tried to pull a fast one on me by charging me more. I basically told them off and subtracted the amount that they charged me with less tip. This place has a «B» rating by the way.

We had eaten here a few times in the past when it was under a different owner and it was good but now… it’s smashingly good! The new owner — Jose Ruiz, a really nice guy who came out of the kitchen to meet us — has taken this little restaurant into the stratosphere. He does a yeoman’s job as the sole chef in the open kitchen and he turns out fantastic dinners. We have eaten here a few times now, under Jose’s ownership, and each time, we’ve thought the food was fantastic. We’ve always gone with two other couples and everyone was really impressed with their meals. Tonight, my husband and I had a wet pork burrito with the green sauce. Absolutely yummy. Our friends had a pork dinner, whose name I can’t remember, and both couples raved about it, too. The waitress is a sweet, bubbly young gal named Jamie, who provided prompt, cheerfully happy, really friendly service with a ready smile. We all enjoyed chatting with her as well as with Jose. And if you like Mexican breakfast — it’s served all day! A couple of us are going to try that next visit! So… give it a try — you’ll be really glad you did! Thanks, Jose and Jamie! We’ll see you again soon!

Under new management as of October… sorry to say… not the same. Previous meal choices are now prepared differently… smaller portions… different portions than before… shrimp dried out… beef not served warm/hot…menu to change soon which could indicate higher prices. May try again after upcoming renovation.

I guess they have a new owner, but the shrimp cocktail was the best, please don’t order any sea food here. Shrimp is old, made me sick. I been going here for years and now it’s horrible.

I came in this morning to treat my kids for some good breakfast according to the reviews. I walk in and the hostess/waitresses is to busy talking to her friend that she didn’t acknowledge nor me or my kids. So I decided to proceed and seat ourselves. After about 10 minutes she comes over with her Stink Face and asks if we are ready? I said I would’ve been if she would of sat us down and given us our menus!!! Overall the Menudo I ordered was disgusting and my kids breakfast was also very disappointing. She rushed everything to our table so she could go continue her conversation with her friend. I give this mediocre place 0 Stars on so many levels. I don’t see how this so called Mexican Restaurant has all these stars. It’s obvious they haven’t had Authentic Mexican Food!

Went in for fish tacos on Tuesday. I should’ve read the reviews. They should name it fish batter because their was no fish at all. Fish was chopped up like fish bait«chum» for the sharks.

What a yummy find! My daughter takes piano lessons at San Dimas Music Store in the same shopping center. Her grandpa likes to take her here after lessons. I had never been able to go until now but heard rave reviews from them both. Well they were right to rave. The food was great! I had the fish tacos and a bite of my daughters steak tacos. Both were tasty with just enough kick without overpowering the flavor a. Staff was super friendly and even remembered my daughters name even though she’s only been here 3 – 4 times. We will be back.

Not usually in this area and I went on Unilocal to find somewhere to eat Las Palmas had great reviews on Unilocal so I decided to try it. My husband and I walked in and we were immediately greeted by the sweetest lady! We ordered The chicken taco play along with the fish tacos! They were amazing delicious! You’ll be full and the price is so fair. My husband said the fish tacos had a sauce on them that was awesome and he’ll be back because it was so good! Try Las Palmas and you won’t be letdown

My husband and I ate here on a Sunday at about 2:15 in the afternoon. The place is small and feels like it would be a good spot for locals. Lucky for us it was not crowded when we went. I ordered the fish tacos(grilled) and my husband ordered fish tacos(battered) Ensenada style. First off, the chips and salsa left a lot to be desired. The salsa was extremely watery and wouldn’t stay on the chip. We both got annoying stains on our shirts from trying to eat it. It seems like you should just dip your chip in the liquid and try to enjoy it that way(though that’s not really enjoyable, is it?) To have your fish tacos grilled is an extra .50 per taco — not really a fan of that. Anywho, the tacos were okay. They weren’t mind blowing. They weren’t particularly flavorful and I don’t see myself needing to order them again. Since I didn’t order mine Ensenada style they just came with cabbage and some salsa. My husband seemed to like the battered fish tacos, though his were more flavorful than mine because he DID order them Ensenada style which comes with the white sauce and a dollop of guacamole. The beans had a nice flavor, but they were very soupy. We wound up mixing them with the rice to get more consistency. I ordered water and my husband ordered unsweetened iced tea. Overall the bill was $ 32.68. I will say the quality of the food was not worth the price. We would consider eating here again if either the quality improved or the prices were lower. Thanks for reading.

Discovered this great find in San Dimas for Mexican food. The food is authentic and menu is varied with something for everyone. So far I have had the aguachiles, posole, tostada de ceviche, tacos, huaraches and the albondigas and everything is excellent. On top of the great food is the excellent service. They treat you like one of the family. If you are looking for authentic Mexican in the San Dimas area look no further.

Stopped by for lunch again yesterday … Actually have them a call as I was driving there to put in my order, and the moment I walked in — I was greet with a smile and repeated my order out loud, haha. No more than two minutes, I was brought food to my table and provided a drink with warm tortillas. Ordered their Chile Colorado lunch plate, which is a smaller portion — comes with Rice, Beans and tortillas for $ 7.50! Again, this place is not the best Mexican food around, but it sure does beat having a crappy fast food chain for lunch, spending the same amount of money on a drive-thru combo, and does taste a little like home cooked food. Lunch plates are all around $ 6 to $ 8 and include some dishes as Mole, Steak Picado, Chile Verde, Chile Colorado, etc.

tip: Tuesday fish tacos for 1.25. Potato tacos 1.25 on Mondays. Sit down restaurant; free chips when dining in. The fish tacos are atrocious. Worst I’ve seen anywhere in the San Gabriel valley, let alone the entire LA and OC county. How bad? Let’s go over the breakdown. — small pieces of fried fish instead of one big piece of fish in the taco, totally unacceptable. Basically eating fried batter. — Only shredded cabbage was accompanied in the taco, no pico de gallo or anything. No hot peppers offered. — sub par chipotle sauce on top which is very questionable because it’s not very good and it’s not the traditional white sauce. No red, green, or hot sauce offered as well.
