Find yourself in need of an adult beverage or espresso on your way to the gorillas? This spot is never busy, has indoor and outdoor seating, and the staff is friendly. Not much more to this location than that.

Pro: A lot of drink options for coffee lovers, such as white mochas, raspberry mochas, and caramel. Each had a fun animal name. Cons: — A bit pricey.(The large was not very big and it was over $ 4) — The coffee was extremely watery. — The staff was not very friendly.

Great place to grab an iced coffee or adult beverage while cruising the SD Zoo. They have all kinds of clever animal names for the lattes. I enjoyed an iced Orangutan Latte = peach & white chocolate. Note that iced drinks are served in clear plastic cups with no lids or straws… When I asked, the employee said that there are no straws due to animal safety and people that would throw straws in the exhibits. Makes sense! He offered to put the iced drinks in hot coffee cups that have plastic lids if I wanted. I was very tempted to add Baileys, Kahlua or Peppermint Schnaps to my coffee, but didn’t today. Something to look forward to on another day! There are also stuffed animals and little souvenir items in the shop. I grabbed a couple of the small albums to collect the pressed pennies from machines all over the Zoo. At $ 4.95, it was a great price and practical cheap memento for kids to take home. As a SD Zoo member, I’ll definitely be back to grab coffee here. :-)

Somebody has a wicked sense of humor and I love it. When I think of Zoo brew, Coffee and beer are not the first thing that comes into my mind. Zoo brew has the perfect combination of brews, nothing like the brews from the nearby cages. During your visit to the zoo you can come here to get your buzz on. Whether your vice is caffeine or alcohol you can’t go wrong.
