Very good thai food in PB, every time I go to a new thai spot I always order the spicy noodles and most of the time they are pretty good but this place was really good. Its a little far form me but I would definitely eat here again.

This place is super close to my boyfriends place so we’ve made multiple visits here. I’ve tried their pad see ew and pad Thai dishes. They’re both very flavorful and delicious. The food is awesome here but costs a little more than other Thai places nearby. But… The decorations are so cute! The service is good too. Try it out

Instead of my usual Pad Thai and Drunken noodle choice, I’ve decided to try the Kua noodles with chicken. It’s very similar to Pad Thai, which uses flat wide rice noodles with egg mixed in the stir fry with a brown sauce instead of Tamarind. It was very good. I ordered it with a 6 spicy level, which was just right. The serving size was also on point in relation to the pricing. The service was friendly and the water refills very frequent. In a city with a multitude of Thai choices, I believe this place is in the top echelon.

There was such a cozy, cute vibe you feel right when you walk into the restaurant. You feel the Thailand culture and the staff is friendly too. I called about 10 minutes ahead and got a reservation for four so our table was ready when we walked in. The menu had lots of variety and I decided to try an entrée instead of my usual curry. I chose the veg spicy spinach and bean sprout at level 8. It was the perfect amount of heat for me but on the hot side. My friends all got chicken pad Thai for the first Thai experience and enjoyed it. Great experience for trying this place for the first time.

Super fresh Thai food ! Love all the veggies and the quality of the meats. Very cute décor and great for take out or a cute little dinner spot. Love the spicy drunken noodles and the curry!

Hands down BEST Thai I’ve had. I ordered the cashew chicken gluten free, from 1 – 10 I asked for a 6 and I LOVE spicy, it was perfect! We also had Tom Yum soup and that was amazing! My hubby ordered the garlic chicken and said it was delicious. Super impressed! We will be back when visiting again!

The Orient Thai Café sits with the big hitters like Amarin Thai in Hillcrest and Koon Thai on Convoy. That being said — I would still rather come to this establishment than the other two mentioned! The deco is very cultural, more so than any other restaurant I have visited. The seating is limited, but that only seems to be an issue on weekends for dinner. I have had a wide selection of the dishes here, none of which have disappointed. If you like Thai food, you will absolutely love this place. A personal favorite of mine is the Khao Soi, which cannot be found at most Thai restaurants, because it is a Northern Thailand speciality. I would also recommend the Tom Kha soup to start. Their spiciness level is from 1 – 10, which is standard. I normally opt for an 8, but I really, really, enjoy very, very spicy food. The 8 is just right for me. I would easily recommend this place to all of my family and friends.

It was open on Thanksgiving day, so this is where my boyfriend and I ended up. The service was friendly. I don’t know why the front door was WIDE open when ti was pretty cold and raining outside, but they did close the door kindly upon request.(THANKGOD!) We ordered Jasmine tea(2 individual cups and tea bags, boooo), chicken satay, Winter rolls(mostly lettuce), tom yum with tofu(with canned sliced mushrooms!!), and roasted duck curry with white rice. I did like the soup(as I was cold), but it was quite salty. The chicken satay(4 skewers) was hot, tender and delicious with peanut sauce. The duck curry was plentiful, and I think the duck was deep-fried rather than roasted. It had bell pepper and pineapple chunks. I just wish it were not as salty as it was. I was quite thirsty after our dinner. Their mango and sticky rice dessert was decent. The rice was a bit on a softer side. It was good, but not the best.

When you walk into The Orient Thai Café, it feels like you are walking into a cozy restaurant in the jungles of Thailand. The outdoor patio is intimate and beautifully adorned with plants, sparkling lights, and colorful lanterns. When you walk inside, you almost feel like you’re walking into someone’s home. The walls are lined with dark wood and authentic decorations. No detail seems to be overlooked. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Since the place is small, the waitress is never far away. We ordered the winter spring rolls, which were overflowing with fresh greens and served with a freshly made(and warm!) peanut sauce. Make sure to ask for the tray of authentic Thai spices and add some to the peanut sauce for an extra kick. Since we stopped by later in the evening we weren’t looking for a large meal, so we ordered the Som Tom salad — essentially a veggie green papaya salad. Ours didn’t come with much heat but luckily we had our extra spices to add to the mix. Finally, we ordered a mango sticky rice for dessert, which was a small portion, but insanely delicious. The rice almost melted in your mouth. Overall this was an amazing dining experience. Definitely a hidden gem — you’d never expect to find such a cozy and authentic place squeezed in next to a 7 – 11 on the main drag in PB.

The food and ambience was great. They had great vegetarian options as well. Here is what we tried 1. Winter rolls with tofu — was very refreshing and the peanut sauce tasted really good. 2. Fried wonton with cream cheese and avocado — it lacked a bit of flavor 3. Pad Thai — they had the right amount of tamarind sauce that I would like on my pad Thai. May not be the authentic version, but can give it a try. 4. Spicy eggplant — this has taken us by surprise. The eggplants were so moist and melted in our mouths. Yummmmyyyyyy My husband and I prefer vegetarian and the server was really nice to let us know that the red curry we ordered has fish sauce as a base and spicy eggplant has bean. The ambience was great. If the weather allows it, try to sit outside. The place is surrounded with wonderful succulents and other plants.

I can’t get enough of this place. It’s a block from my apartment, so I call in a lot of orders and pick up. If you have a chance to go in to eat, I recommend sitting outside. They have so many beautiful plants on their small patio. For a tiny restaurant, they’ve done a great job with the décor inside and out. My favorite item on the menu is their Tom Ka soup. I prefer to have it vegetarian and see what veggies they put in it. Sometimes there are green beans and cucumbers, and it usually always come with mushrooms and some chopped tomatoes. The broth in the soup is just the perfect amount of coconut milk with some spice. I also love getting the duck curry and the fried tofu appetizer that comes with plum dipping sauce. The spicy noodle is a good choice, too. The owners are very friendly and welcoming every time.

What a hidden gem! This was the last meal of my husband and I’s vacation. And it was the perfect way to end our trip. We sat in a nice cozy booth. Every wall was covered in cute patterns and oriental designs. It was a pretty small place. We had the Tom Kha soup… I couldn’t get enough of this silky, buttery, flavorful, coconut based soup. It was so perfect. I’ve never even heard of it but I’m determined to try and find some in Phoenix! Then we had the Crispy Chick. And that it was! Lightly battered and fried in a light and flavorful sauce with fresh veggies. I would frequent this place if I lived near by. Truly soul quenching food!

My friend and I were trying to relive our time in Thailand with a day of foot massage, cheap shopping and thai food. We decided on this place as neither of us had tried before. It was a good decision! Our meal was delicious! We ordered the winter rolls which were fresh and very large. Next we shared Tom Kha soup and vegetable pad thai. Both had excellent flavor. The pad thai was not super greasy and the portions were both very good. I knocked a star off because this place does not serve alcohol of any kind and I was really looking forward to having a Chang with my dinner. Prices are fair and service was attentive and friendly.

I chose the Orient Thai Café for lunch due to their high Unilocal rating but left feeling just okay about the meal. I’d round up to 3.5 stars but don’t think I could give out four. I’ve been to a lot of Thai restaurants in San Diego and feel like I’ve had better food at other places. I stuck to my usual order of pad see ew with beef and no veggies. The beef, which is listed as top sirloin, was actually quite good. It was tender and flavorful. But there was something slightly off about the sauce and noodles that I just can’t quite put my finger on. It wasn’t bad by any means but I’ve had better pad see ew. The lunch special is served with a soup of the day, which was tom yum. I prefer tom kha and am not familiar with tom yum but both my friend and I literally choked on the spice in the soup. Be careful swallowing this soup. If it hits your throat in the wrong spot, you may find yourself coughing and sputtering. I considered ordering a Thai tea but saw on the menu that it costs $ 4 here. From my experience, Thai teas typically cost in the $ 2.50 to $ 3 range so I skipped it. The restaurant is cute though and has nice décor throughout. We sat on the small patio, which I think has three tables, and is surrounded by plants. It’s a nice, relaxing setting despite being directly off busy Garnet.

1) cute ambience, nice service 2) way too spicy(pad Thai and red curry). We asked for 5 on spicy scale of 1 to 10. Couldn’t take more than a few bites 3) Thai iced tea has a bit too much dairy muting the flavor, though we only ordered it because 3 glasses of water each didn’t make the food edible(spicy)

Food: 3 stars Décor: 5 stars, it was really really cute Food I had the pineapple fried rice. The fried rice was way too wet(its supposed to be dry) and it was a little bland as well, I have had better. Thai iced tea was also mediocre, mainly because it was too water down. Appe THAI zer(that was how they spelled in it on the menu) we got the calamari, pretty standard but it was decent. Parking was awesome because they have their own lot for the strip mall, very important as parking sucks in PB Glad I went there because of the décor, but I probably won’t go back because the food was mediocre.

This place is really cute and cozy. Probably a great spot for a first date. We didn’t dine in tonight but just stopped by for a takeout. I couldn’t help by noticing the décor and ambiance, which I loved. Will definitely come back to dine in. As for the food, it is fairly priced for Thai, their menu is simple and basic. Food was good but I had to write a review to warn you about the«spiciness» of it. I’m not a huge fan of super spicy food and asked them for a «2» — he asked from 1 to 10, what would be my level of spicy. My Pad Thai was so hot my nose started running the moment I ate. Sorry, had to mention. My lips got all numb and I could barely taste the food. Even my boyfriend who is into spicy said that was definitely not a «2». I’m not sure if everything is like that but just remember this review when you order. Or go prepared to drink lots of water.

Yesterday my boss said that he’ll treat everyone with lunch since its professional administrative day, so I looked up a Thai place that was nearby. This place didn’t have too many reviews, but mostly good ratings. After looking over the menu, I decided to get the beef salad(spicy level 8) with sticky rice and a Thai tea. They deliver within 2 miles for only $ 3. When the food came, I looked at everyone’s order and it all looked so good! Everyone in the office enjoyed their lunch including me. I loved my salad and Thai tea. The salad wasn’t extremely spicy, but I was asking for it later… haha.

Located near a 7 – 11 and Ortiz’s, I’ve been wanting to check out this place for quite awhile. It worked out a few days ago when my boyfriend and I were both in PB and craving Thai for dinner. It was a Tuesday night and we were seated right away. We ordered pork pad se ew and duck curry. The pork pad se ew was your standard noodle dish but the real winner was the duck curry. We were surprised with the amount of duck served for the curry — it was almost half a bird! The only cons: — limited parking in the lot(but try street) — prices were a tad higher than other Thai places in the area Overall, I recommend checking it out! The ambiance, food, and service really make the experience!
