I went here for years and I would never trade it for the Starbucks across the street. Better coffee, service, and extremely fast.

It took me time to write this… This is suppose to be a coffee station. My coffee red eye smelled like burritos. The vanilla latte had no foam or vanilla taste… I used to love this place… Afterwards, I circled around wondering what was up and I saw the sign that said sandwiches, burritos, bagels, eggs and bacon, etc. that I didn’t originally see. My coffee a few months ago here was fine with no burrito smell. Their latte taste changed as well… The two coffee girls were also talking in a foreign language and looking at me and my boy friend oddly, and I did not appreciate that! If I want cooked food, I certainly wouldn’t buy it here, I’m going across the street to their competitor SB for a real red-eye, even though the line is long… This place should be called the Bean Box Barron Burrito Station. Im hoping to hear from the owner… There is something here that is definitely fishy and not Kosher. I even doubt they have a license to be cooking inside with out sinks, prep tables, fan hood,

Awesome spot. Super convenient. I have been several times and always have a great experience. The girls that work there are GORGEOUS! If you have not gone already you need to go and see for yourself. BEANBOX runs the coffee game on these streets ya herd!

I just had the best experience by going to this hidden gem in Point Loma. I went in asking for a coffee with a little«taste of Christmas» but I don’t like sweet syrups that ruin the coffee taste. Since I’m such a fan of Americano’s, she recommended using a mint tea as the base then removing the tea bag and pouring over the espresso. Nailed it! Thanks for the new addiction.

I love this little coffee spot! The coffee is delicious — bold but not bitter or too acidic, and the baristas are the best!

I love the Bean Box! I have been coming here for the past 3 years or so before work! They have amazing coffee and reasonable prices! They have recently expanded their menu to include breakfast burritos, sandwiches and a new delicious cold brew coffee! Also if you buy 10 coffee’s you get a punch card and receive a free coffee after your 10th punch! The girls who work here are always very sweet! Skip gross Starbucks and support a great local businesses!

Best place for an iced coffee in Point Loma! The barista was super sweet and fast! My coffee was perfect and really hit the spot on a hot day when I was needing an extra pick me up. A lot of variety and a drive thru to boot…

This place is really cute! I was impressed they sell Quest Bars. The ladies that work there are always friendly and the coffee is good. Service is quick and handy with the drive-thru.

3-star is because it just an ok spot. Not really exceptional coffee like rest of reviews. — I went there twice. — First time, I ordered a capuccino. it was pretty decent. There was some bitterness to the grind — Second time, I ordered a café au lait, it was a disaster… the milk was cold, coffee was extremely bitter(seemed like acidity had set in)… So, this place is good for convenience, even though there service can be a tad slow. Disclaimer: I’m a coffee snob. if I ask for an espresso and someone asks me small, medium or large. I will walk away from that shop.

So I was torn between 2 or 3 stars and I’m in a good mood today so I went with 3. This place is okay, I hate supporting Starbucks(although I gotta admit I do on occasions, oops) and this place has a drive thru(like Starbucks) but never has a horrendous line like the Starbucks across the street does. However the service is a bit blah. At least at Starbucks they make you feel welcome and pretend to be in a good mood. Every time I come here the girls don’t smile at me or anything. And they’re usually chit chatting with a passer by and take a minute to acknowledge me, but still faster than Starbucks so whatever I guess. The coffee is okay. I mean in not a coffee buff. I’m pregnant with a 17 month old toddler so you could basically give me swamp water and tell me it has caffeine in it and I’d drink it anyways. This isn’t to say the coffee here is comparable to swamp water but I’m just saying when I’m running on 4 hours of sleep and I have a screaming toddler in the back seat, I don’t care about the quality. Anyways one thing that turned me off about this place is when I bought a coffee, the total came out to like 3 dollars and something, I paid with a 5 and the barista have me the change, held onto the dollar and said«This dollar is for me right?» Hmmm… Well yeah I was gonna tip you but it would have been a lot more polite and a lot less awkward for me if you would have just let me do it on my own accord. I’ve been out of the service industry for a few years now, is that something they do now? Anticipate a tip?(And a dollar on a 3 dollar drink is a friggin amazing tip by the way) Dang, yeah that threw me off a bit.

It’s nice that there’s no wait like at Starbucks but there’s a reason why. There’s no consistency with how the drinks are made. I ordered an iced latte and coffee was used instead of the normal espresso shot. I gave them an extra star for convenience but other than that the coffee was not good… very weak.

Looking for your coffee fix? This drive-through little Bean Box is so much cooler than the chain coffee joint across the street. Plus, really great coffee(love the Mexican mocha), and even dog treats for your pup. Located in the Baron’s parking lot, it’s open at 6 am, and you can drive through on either side, too!

There really should be more of these little boxes around. For those of us that don’t have time to wait in a line at(ahem) other places. This is so perfect! I drove up, ordered my Mexican mocha, and it was ready in less than two minutes. The drink was delicious. I could really taste the Mexican chocolate in it. I was so sad when it was all gone. My only problem? It was $ 4.10 for a medium… I can’t spend that on coffee every day. But, like a smoker needs their nicotine fix, or an alcoholic needs that little swig, I need mine and sometimes Nescafé just doesn’t cut it. Hello. My name is Maryella and I’m a caffeine addict.

Hooray for the Bean Box! Home of the magic beans… I am telling you, the young lady who was working here, when I stopped in the other day, sure knows how to make a terrific Americano. The Americano was very smooth and rich and robust with flavor. It also provide a very good pick me up and had very good strength. Service was great and friendly. The Bean Box also makes a whole variety of coffees and also hot chocolate.( ) I was amazed of all the wonderful drinks this little walk up or drive thru box can muster.( ) Like they say, «don’t judge a book by its cover.» If you find yourself cruising down Point Loma Blvd., stop by and if you are already a regular, well enough said. Well done…

Why would you ever go to Starbucks when you have THEBEANBOX!!! There’s more than meets than eye at this little drive thru coffee shop… The white chocolate mocha & mexican mocha are absolutley DELISH and the pastries always taste soooo fresh. I would highly recommend the blueberry scone and muffin! The quality of the coffee is always consistent so get your morning cup of Joe at the Bean Box. The service is always 5 stars and Kat will take good care of you… not only will the coffee here put a smile on your face. but her happiness and morning spunk will kick your morning off right(and her accent is cool too)!!! Aaaand she remembers everyones name! I mean who doesnt want to go to a place where they greet you by name and know what you want to order!!! So stop by the BEANBOX… i promise you wont regret it and will come back for more! Trust me…“Starbucks doesnt have nothing on the Bean Box”

It is a small, rectangular shape shack but I would come back for more coffee and pastry. The Mexican Mocha I had was similar to some Mexican Mocha’s but this one had actual IbarraChocolate in it, the kind my Grandma used to make. My friend and I shared a banana nut muffin which was of very good quality. Bean Box, you have yet another Los Angeles Fan. Yep, San Diego, knows how to Coffee! San Diego, knows how to Coffee!!!
