I used to go there 2008 – 2009 and saw all white people. But there was one white girl with bleach blonde hair that was cool. :)

It’s one am and this place isn’t closed so they lie on the time. But it’s cool. Don’t order drinks from the tables. 6 shots at the bar = 24 bucks. 6 shots at a table = 90 bucks. You do the math!

Larry is a phenomenal manager, brought my work colleagues from the UK over for a San Diego experience, made said experience even better. Highly recommend this establishment specifically for his commitment to service.

Came for football and drinks this week and enjoyed the space. The tuna poke and chips with guac were great(especially for a bar) and drinks were reasonably priced. May not be the scene for everyone considering it’s crazy loud and the DJ comes on around 9 and the drunk college girls take over the dance floor. If you can handle that, it’s worth the visit for the sheer amount of TVs and bar-table space.

Discriminated towards me and all of my black friends. Me and my 3 black friends couldn’t get in. I guess they have a limit of black people to go into. I guess they have a quota

Food was amazing and it’s a great place to listen to good music, have some drinks and meet some great people(including the staff)!

I’ve come here a couple of times and it’s always been a negative experience. I for one work in the food industry and my opinion is If you work in the food/beer industry you should know how to give great customer service. I felt that the waitresses/bartenders gave attitude towards my friends and I for no reason. My friend tried to order a drink and the bartender seemed annoyed/pissed off. when he didn’t know how to make a common drink that is ordered at most bars.

Pure garbage. That’s the only way to describe this bar. Garbage people sipping garbage drinks and eating garbage food while having garbage conversations. This is the worst bar in San Diego and possibly the entire world. I would rather drink bleach out of a forty ounce bottle in the McDonald’s parking lot than ever set foot in this garbage. Someone should bulldoze this place and then salt the earth so no one can build another bar on that lot ever again. I feel gross even writing this review. Garbage.

This place seemed like a good idea at first. There was a decent amount of people and the music seemed ok as we were standing outside. After about 20 minutes the crowd got pretty gross. One drunk sweaty guy right next to me thought it was a great idea to take his shirt off to impress a girl I’m guessing. She quickly left and I tried to have the staff take care of this guy, but they didn’t seem to care. I tried to order a couple martinis for my friends and the first one was completely wrong and mixed horribly and the second one took so long we just gave up. The music is way too repetitive, I think I heard a couple of the same songs and we were only there for a little more than an hour. The worst part was that a couple guys kept antagonizing my friends. Finally one of my friends got fed up and asked the staff to do something, but they didn’t seem to care. We were finally forced to find a new bar.

I love this place. I have been a couple of times now but I recently found the one flaw and someone from Tavern needs to see this and get on fixing it. The service at this place is great, the layout is good, and I’ve always had a good time. BUT…there is one spot in there, where God help you if you get sat. The patio corner closest to Garnett and Everts where you enter the bar is a nightmare. First of all, I don’t doubt that during winter months, when it’s cooler, it might be a little better but during the first 7 weeks of football season, not worth it. It was so hot, and so much glare from the tv’s that we really didn’t enjoy Tavern like we wanted to and ended up leaving for another bar. We tried getting them to put down the screen only to find out they are clear and don’t help. The sun was relentless, the table top got really hot, and we were squinting to see inside the bar to the TV’s. Other than that one spot, Tavern is great. I have nothing bad to say about the service, food, or environment. Just that one, desert oasis of a spot!

Gluttonous brunch for sure!!! Amazing mimosa and Bloody Mary bar! I went before the Chargers/Lions game and the place was packed! Great energy! Make sure to say hi to Grace & Kasi at the bar!!! Kasi was amazing with my gluten intolerance and was able to double check on my order to make sure everything was ok for me to eat! Two thumbs up for sure!

I can’t give you a solid review on the food so this part 1 review will just include a basic opinion of the place and its drinks. The beer selection here is good, but no different than most SD bars so there is no reason to give them anything but an «A-OK’. The bartenders were fantastic and super nice, the industry takes care of its own and I was lucky to be with friends that knew the staff, they didn’t focus solely on us though, so you don’t have to worry about not placing your drink order in a timely fashion. I was quite impressed with the strictness of the dress code. They do not allow anyone to come in looking like a tool, douche, prick or thug, so you can always expect normally dressed individuals ready to get their drink on. The place got slammed that night, and for a weekday it was kinda surprising, but I rather a place be busy than absolutely dead. I’ll for sure be back next time i’m in PB, which isn’t very often.

This is what I think of when I think of PB. A bar mostly there for the late night crowd. Bouncers and security outside. Loud music. Expensive drinks. I used to come here during college and since that time they have had a significant make-over. Their kitchen is open late now. The bar is more accessibly in the middle of the room. Some tables along the walls have taps where you can purchase your beer of choice to be hooked up for the night. I believe it was $ 150 for Red Trolley when we went. We passed on that option but that might be someones good time. You get what you get with this place. It is not there to be a fine-dining establishment or chill place to hang out. That doesn’t mean its awful; it just isn’t my thing.

Great spot in Pacific Beach. Indoor and outdoor seating. And don’t worry, plenty of TVs. Their food is great and not too expensive. They have an AWESOME(by far one of my favorite) Bloody Mary bar and Mimosa bar. Ya. Awesome. SundayFunday this is our spot. Bottles of champagne for $ 14 and other great specials.

Tavern is one of the classier/best bars that I like in PB. I am not the biggest fan of PB, but I do enjoy going to tavern. It has a nice open feel to it with TV’s everywhere. Two bars, which is awesome if it’s busy. I have been here a few times for a night on the town and I highly suggest if you like Moscow Mules to order one, they have one of the best I have ever tasted! The line can sometimes be long to get in but it will be worth it if you plan on staying the whole night. Yesterday I went to Tavern for happy hour which I have never been to. It goes from 3−7pm and they have some awesome deals. Half off beer and deals on cocktails. Then some deals on food too! I don’t remember it off the top of my head but order the pretzel sticks! You won’t be disappointed. They also serve 805 on tap which is one of my favorite beers, its a lighter lager beer I believe, if you have never had it definitely order or try a taste. Our waitress was very attentive throughout the whole time we were there. They have a great happy hour that you should definitely hit up!

Mimosa bar and chips & guac! These are the two aspects that got me lovin’ this place! For $ 14, you can get a bottle of champagne and access to their mimosa bar, which has an assortment of fruit, candy, and juices. So fun and worth it. One bottle between my friend and I was definitely enough ;) As a chip and guac/salsa lover(it’s my crack), I always order it when I come to Tavern. The guacamole to chip ratio is perfect; definitely not stingy. Their chips are homemade and the guacamole is chunky yum! Was relieved that they gave us more chips when we asked… the guacamole was enough for two servings of chips! Good amount of people during the day, which makes this bar fun… no one likes an empty bar, right? TVs all around and a patio for people-watching. Great PB bar!

Was here for a quick lunch while in PB with a friend. It was kind of strange to see security checking people at the door… at 1:30 in the afternoon. Apparently they are rather strict with the dress code… depending who you are. But whatever.(Lost a star for that). The bar is actually a nice size. There are two large bars, one in the front one in the back separated by tables and chairs in an open area that apparently turns into a dance floor at night. There is plenty of seating around both bars. We were handed the brunch menu so my friend ordered the breakfast burrito and I just ordered a side of fries. I didn’t try the burrito but my friend devoured it in about 2 minutes so it must’ve been good. Either that or my friend was starving! LOL Anyhoo, my fries were really good. I would order them again maybe with a burger next time. There are plenty of TVs which would make it a great place to watch any type of playoffs. The staff was very friendly and the food came fairly quick. I don’t get down to PB very often but the next time I do I’ll probably stop here again.
