Sunshine Cafe

This place is amazing for a mini café!!! The hospitality is great and I’m not just saying that because it’s near a bunch of hospitals. They have a breakfast and lunch menu and serves them both at anytime during the day. The smell of food as they are cooking is awesome. Just like a home cooked meal. The owners/​workers are so polite and caring and show great patience. It was awesome, after I purchased my wife’s and I food we went to sit down and wait for it to be done cooking. We thought by the way the café looked we would get up and get our food. Not a problem for me food is food LOL. So as we waited the lady comes out and serves us our food, which actually surprised me. The food was amazing my wife had an omelet that looked and smelt delicious and I had 2 bacon cheese and egg English muffins which were magically delicious. Sunshine Café is an awesome place and is highly recommended by me to go check out. LOVED IT!!!

You have to go there and try the curry! It’s to die for… They also have a really good BLT that I love. This place is truly a find in the Linda Vista area. If you work at Sharps Hospital or are in the area it’s worth trying. It is located in the Juvenile Court Facility.

This place is very good! I started working in the same building a few weeks ago and I’m very happy they are here. I’ve tried several of their items and have not been disappointed yet! I especially love their wonton soup, mango ice tea and salad with a tuna scoop. Mmmm The people that run Sunshine are also wonderful and so pleasant to talk to which is always a big plus. Good food for good price! I love their spicy tuna melt. It has a good level of spiciness (no too spicy) with spicy mayo and jalapeño. Breads are lightly toasted and makes the perfect combination with tuna and cheese.
They also have good coffee! They buy their beans from Café Calabria in North Park.
