Apparently they close the store whenever they feel like it. Supposed to be 24/7…they have sign saying they’re closed and will be back later in the morning

I have been going to this Subway for well over two years now. I work in the service industry and I usually don’t get off of work til late. I have had some really good & horrible employees make my sandwich. But tonight Claudia made it exactly how I asked. Fast & with a positive attitude. Even at 3am lol

This is the absolute worst subway I have ever been to. Not changing their gloves, filthy work station, wiping sauce off gloves onto apron, working between sandwiches with sauce covered gloves, forgetting to cut the foot long(the guy in front of me), brown slimy lettuce, putting TWO pieces of spinach on my veggie haha. The list goes on. I worked at a subway in my high school days for over a year, it is NOT difficult the stay sanitary. Trust me when I say the food here is likely to produce health issues. They have their Bain(where the food is stored) to cold, which I can tell by simply looking at the frost bitten food buckets, they have food crusted on the windows and work station, the handles to the oven was caked in sauce. Four workers, FOUR workers and three customers haha there is no reason for this place to be as dirty and so much spoiled food in the Bain. Brown lettuce, brown avocados, mushy tomatoes, smashed olives, and food not in there proper bins. Again, worst subway I have ever been to. I ended up walking out after two people worked on my veggie sandwich after messing with two other sandwiches, a meatball marinara and a sweet opinion chicken teriyaki, and neither changed their gloves which where covered in sauce. I got a veggie for a reason. For your health and safety, STAYAWAY!!!

I’m assuming the girl who made my sandwich last night was new. I ordered a club and she put the wrong amount of meat on it. Teach and Train.

I know it’s just a subway so you can’t come in with super high hopes… but oh my god the service today 10⁄25 at 1pm was unbearably terrible. I literally didn’t know if the men working had a bet going that day and were purposely being that awful or if they were just that bad. Sadly I believe it was the latter. The man in front of me ordered a sandwich for a friend and then when he wanted to order his they skipped him. He said over and over you didn’t make mine yet and they continued pushing him towards the cash register end of the line and started making the next customers! Then they went on to ask what I wanted(all the while this poor pan is paying for his friends sandwich still telling them HELLO I still need one for me). He then finally gets them to understand the situation and they put him to the back of the line! He says he wants the same type of sandwich and they start making it with the same toppings. He explains not the same exact sandwich… the same type… Oh my it was painful. THEN it was my turn to experience what was my own personal hell. I was mortified watching my sandwich be made. 3 cucumbers. A miniature handful of lettuce. I asked for«more» on every topping. When it came to add AVACADO which I paid extra for, I got three string cheese sliver-looking slices rather than your typical thick slice of avocado. Come on. I was asked three times if I wanted my sandwich toasted. NO. NO. NO. As he goes to put it in the toaster after the third time I was asked and said no. When I paid, he forgot to ring up my drink and had to do it again. The man also dropped about half of my tomatoes and jealeopnos out of my sandwich as he half-ass wrapped it and brushed them onto the ground instead of 1. wrapping them up along with the sandwich(I’m not a princess I can pick them off of the wrapper and put them back inside myself) or 2. Just putting them back in before he continues wrapping??? To finish the experience the poor man behind me said(and this is no exaggeration) 7 – 10 times«do not cut my sand which in half please» I’m saying it was«lettuce and please don’t cut the sandwich in half.» «Tomatoes please and please don’t cut the sandwhich in half» etc. As I’m leaving he’s yelling«I said don’t cut it in half!!» The man behind the counter went to cut it after all of that!!! The poor man had an allergy and said he couldn’t have the knife cut the bread(the subway man looked incredibly confused) and the other worker held up another of the exact same knife that was used on my sandwich with a look like«what about this one?» HELLO it wasn’t about that knife it was about the fact it touches all of the other food. What idiots. I wish I had a reality tv show because this would have been QUITE the entertaining episode. I left thinking… Was I just Punked?

Disgusting service. I will never return. Shorted me on toppings. They rushed me worse than any place I’ve ever been in my LIFE. I had to tell a couple of them to SLOWDOWN and let me TRY to think about what I want! Management picked winners when they hired these rude individuals.

Good subway! Pretty Clean, nice customer service and it’s 24 hours! They also deliver. Super convenient spot and a bigger subway with plenty of seating inside. My only thing and this takes off two stars is they need to keep the floor cleaner. Lots of food that needs to be swept up. Other than that, your average subway. 24 hrs gives it a huge bonus!

I just decided I wanted to hand out sandwiches to homeless people and randomly bought 20 footlongs. The crew was not only well prepared to make my order but also handle the other customers as they walked-in. I was very impressed by their teamwork and efficiency. I’m gonna try and make this a bi-weekly thing.

Had an absolutely terrible experience in Subway #46510 in San Diego today. My wife and I stopped in for lunch and while making my order I placed a bag of chips on the counter to cash out with my food. Somehow the cashier did not charge us. Approximately halfway through our meal, Antonio, a store employee approached my wife and claimed that we had taken the chips. First, that statement was untrue. Second there is a camera pointed at the register. 3rd, you dont accuse a customer of stealing. I asked them to look at the tape and the Manager, Karla, said she didnt have to. I also told them I wanted my $ 10.48 back as I would not be finishing my meal. Karla also refused saying, «once you eat into the sandwich we dont give you your money back.» I paid for the bag of chips and stated I wanted the number for the corporate office. Karla again refused. She said, «we dont give the corporate number you can just take the survey.» Regrettably we had already made the mistake of doing the survey so my wife could have a cookie. I spent hundreds of dollars a year at subway. To be treated this way is absolutely unacceptable. It is NOT ever the fault of a customer that the cashier did not ring all of the food. Its also NOT a good idea to ever accuse a customer of stealing food. Had Antonio said he thinks he forgot to charge me thats a different story. I would have paid as I had expected to anyway. I do not appreciate anyone mistreating my wife and I will not tolerate it. I intend to tell this story to anyone that will listen, including having already posted it on my facebook, until I get an apology from the restaurant’s general manager and a FULLREFUND. Im not paying $ 10.48 for a six inch sandwich. Lastly, after this experience it will be a good and long time before I eat at Subway, if I ever do again.

Clean friendly and walk right up service, can’t say anything but I am happy with my experience at Market st. In Downtown one of my my favorite experiences about coming to San Diego. There were so many drunk people that night. The Gas Lamp district was lit up with hood rat, ratchet chicks who were half naked, drunk, and trying to find any guy to hook up with. Some drunk girl passed out in her own vomit on the bathroom floor which halted the line of drunk

I love subways but this place is run down the staff are rude. I had a meatball sandwich served cold and when I asked for a bit sandwich I was told the meatballs get cold. It took me another 10 minutes to get a warmed up sandwich from a rude belligerent staff This is not a normal subway is a disgrace to the franchise

Pretty much like any other Subway. Important thing is that they are open with full menu 24 hours, so a good place to get lunch before standing in the Hall H lines of Comic-Con all night. They did get my order wrong and didn’t comp me otherwise I might give them another star.

This place was one of my favorite experiences about coming to San Diego. There were so many drunk people that night. The Gas Lamp district was lit up with hood rat, ratchet chicks who were half naked, drunk, and trying to find any guy to hook up with. Some drunk girl passed out in her own vomit on the bathroom floor which halted the line of drunk people wishing to release all the alcohol in their system. There were at least two guys with shades on in the middle of the night covering their drugged out eyes. One guy sat in a chair drinking his soda and smelling his armpits(he smelled like death incarnate) and he would randomly get up and walk two paces forward and then come back and sit down. There were your occasional drunks bros who scoffed about how drunk and stupid the girls were but, in their own drunk stupor, claimed they would take home two or three ladies for the night. The best part of the whole place was the service. They handled all these crazy people at 1 in the morning and also made delicious sandwiches. Keep up the good work.

I am a regular at the UCSD Subway(and by regular, I really really mean it). This particular Subway was quite different from the one at UCSD. And I was surprised with how *significantly* different it was. The 3-star rating takes into consideration everything. For the food itself, I would say it was a 3.5 or 4. First up, the people behind the counter were slow and did not know good queue management. The guys and gals at Subway UCSD put one sandwich in the oven and smoothly zip to the next person in line and start preparing their order until the oven beeps. These people did not divide the tasks between each other well and multiple people seem to stick with one order, ignoring the ones behind. It took some time to prepare my order. They were also REALLY slow with preparing the sandwiches compared to the people at UCSD. I really mean slow. Otherwise, the food was fine. My veggie patty sandwiches got slightly burned which is never a problem at UCSD(happened once in over 40 times) but it tasted okay. The staff was friendly and made good small talk. This Subway also has good seating and nice ambience. But my order was a take-away, so I didn’t use other amenities.

5 Stars for service and efficency! Comic-Con week, closest subway to the convention center, staffed and ready for the crowd, they had pre-made if you didn’t want to wait for your custom sandwhich. The crew here was an assembly line and the store was packed, made it though the line here faster than at any other subway ever and I ordered 4 foot longs… If I could give 6 stars I would, comic-con crowds can make or break a resturant and this resturant rose to the challenge and surpassed all expectations! WELLDONE

Unbelievably non-existent customer service! Get this: Walked-in there this morning…10 a.m. with a co-worker in tow. The idea was to buy breakfast for our staff, who also works downtown. Stood there and milled around for 10-minutes without being acknowledged. When I say«not acknowledged,» I don’t mean that the person behind the counter was ignoring us… THEREWASNOPERSONBEHINDTHECOUNTER. Turns-out…they were hiding in the back… fully aware that we were there waiting… but would not come-out from behind the two-way glass. I swear… I’ve NEVER experienced anything like this. Listen-up whoever you are hiding in the back: you can’t claim that you didn’t know we were there! Take note independent Subway owner: Your people don’t like to help customers and clearly don’t want to work. In my book… that’s more than a terminable offense. End result: they lost some decent breakfast business for today… but more than that… they’ve lost at least two customers for good, and gained some really negative attention on the internet. Couldn’t tell you about the food… SINCEWENEVERGOTANY. With so many people out of work these days… I think this person needs to stay unemployed…

My favorite Subway. 24 hours, good service(though some employees may not speak the best of english) . convenient. And they get the job done. Ain’t that what’s Subway’s all about? Sandwiches your way? You get it here. Ask, and you shall receive.
