I grew up in the area and take some pride knowing that a big franchise like Subway can hire an awesome staff for this location in my neighborhood. I’ve been frequenting this location for a little more than a year and have to say. This location consistently gives great guest service. No other food place does it like they do in this neighborhood. Every single time I walk in they greet me and are enthusiastic to take my order. Even when they’re slammed to the door with people. The service and food are always the way I expect it. This team rocks! Much kudos to them and what they do. BTW if you order a sub from here. Just remember it’s not rocket science. Have your order ready because there’s people behind you patiently waiting for a food order. Props to the Subway team for having patience for those types of people who don’t know what to order when there’s a line out the door.

I always get good customer service here. The breakfast is my favorite with the coffee. It’s a bummer they don’t use settles best coffee anymore and the kerug coffe maker with the k-cups like most Subway restaurants do. Other than that it’s great place for breakfast.

Our normal Subway(Palm and Dennery) is closed for renovations and this is the next closest one to our house. Original plan: grab a couple of sandwiches, chips, drinks, maybe cookies with my minions(kiddos) and have a mommy/little bits date night. Here’s how THAT worked out… It seemed really busy for 730 at night on a Monday, there was a line to the door!(maybe because the other location down the road is closed???). Aaaaanywho… our experience kept being not so awesome from there. I’ll usually give a Subway a 3 – 4 starts. Nothing spectacular, but pretty good. Unless someone spits in my sandwich, I’m happy. I am NOT happy. The guy making my sandwich was really friendly, seemed happy, cheerful enough, so that was kind of the one shining bit of happy here. That and they had a bathroom, so my 4 year old didn’t pee his pants while waiting in this insane line. We ordered two sandwiches, a spicy Italian with no changes(and few toppings) for the boys to share and a Subway Club for me.(Note: this is one of the more expensive sandwiches the offer). Both were ordered as footlongs. I asked for a sub on the meat of my sandwich(I have this thing about their ham, I dunno, it kinda squeaks when I bite it and that freaks me out). I asked if they could sub it for salami or something. The sandwich artist said he was new, and didn’t know, so he asked another gal on the line. Honestly, you’d have thought I suggested making the entire sandwich out of salami, on salami, with salami toppings, with pureed salami sauce.(insert her audible exasperated sigh here). She said that they would have to charge me 2 $ extra on top of the sandwich cost. I asked why, seeing how I was taking something off, didn’t want EXTRA meat or anything. And that salami was the cheapest sandwich on the menu. She said salami is the most expensive meat they have(what???) and that that’s what they were going to do. I pointed out that ANY extra meat on the menu board was only $ 1. She said it was $ 2 extra, no exceptions, no reasoning, no nothing. Clearly, I just told the guy to make my sandwich without the ham, but not worry about the salami. Seriously, it’s not worth it. I’ve never had this problem at other locations(anywhere, ever). The whole POINT of Subway is to get the sandwich the way you want it, right? Got my sandwiches made without incident after that. The guy continued being really friendly and apologized again for her behavior. Didn’t end up getting extras(chips and drinks/cookies) like I usually do. And took our food to go, even though the original plan was to eat at the restaurant with the kiddos because I felt so uncomfortable. I think the worst part about it was her attitude. She didn’t explain it nicely, or even reasonably. She acted like I was literally trying to climb over the counter and steal something from them.

I tried to call in an order today and the lady practically refused pre-order stating they were short staffed and it would take an hour. So my co-worker walked in the order and she seemed pretty annoyed with his large order. She told him that she just turned away a phone order referre to the customer as rude. In that case, «Hey kettle, I’m pot.» I have experienced poor service from another lady at this store too. She seemed generally unhappy with her job and her coworkers. When I ordered 3 sandwiches she actually rolled her eyes and sighed out loud. I stayed away for a while but it’s location is the closest to my home. After today, I’ll take my business to another location.

THIS time the employee was nice. he had an easy going tone and even told me to have a good day :) But for the most part, ALL subway employees at this location and others seem to have one thing in common. they HATETHEIRJOB. They’re usually always rude, not wanting to add any of the things you want in your sandwich. well isn’t that the whole point of going to subway? And considering I’m very picky and eat VERY plain food, its not that hard to only throw lettuce and tomatoes on it. and that’s it. I don’t add anything else… but yet the employee looks at me like I’m causing such a hardship? Grrrrrr! Almost makes me not wanna eat subway again… BUT, I love the bread :)

I stopped by here for a quick lunch. There’s really not much to say about a Subway, because the Sub Sandwiches are average at best which for me would be a 3 Star rating. The reason why I give this Subway 4 Stars instead of 3 is because the the exceptional service the employees give to their customers… both in speed and friendliness to everyone that served at this location. After working 7 straight hours, I was hungry. I only get a half hour window when it comes to my lunch break from work and this Subway is the closest place around that has food that’s a little on the healthy side. Major props to the staff that works here cause this branch does what no other Subway does… Speedy service. Job well done!
