Omg best mexican pan ever!!! Bread is super soft and delicious!!! This place is cash only so go to the bank and withdraw money. I used to buy 3 breads for 1 $ but not you can’t even buy 2 for a dollar. The prices have gone up more than 50% that’s the only down side.

I went by to buy bread for a funeral and they were very accommodating by placing everything in a box and making it look beautiful. This is certainly a place I will continue to visit.

Panderia Gonzales is my favorite bakery in San Diego because they do have the best Mexican bread I’ve had IN San Diego, bread is always soft, fresh, and price is decent… Unfortunately the best bakeries I’ve been to aren’t close to me so to me, this bakery became my ultimate favorite one in my area, I always have to have bread from here or else I’d rather not have any at all. But I feel that I would need to mention that the customer service is not so great, never have been greeted, when I’ve called to ask questions it’s always busy or there’s no answer. The family that runs this place seem EXTREMELYQUIETANDSERIOUS but humble, honest, and nice although it’s always good to know your customers or at least greet them, not just receive $$ and not mind any one that goes in and out of yourI’m business and It’s always nice as frequent customer to have the comfort of telling the owner thank you, or compliment them in their product but unfortunately I don’t feel like I’ll even be acknowledge since my simple«hellos» «thank yous» «byes» are always ignored or I’m looked at like I’m weird or something lol… because of that I had to minus a star.

They have very good baked items. Compared to other places, the selection is small. Prices are comparable to other locations.

While visiting the parental units in the old hood, I stopped by this place. I wanted to see what they had. And they are a super small little mexican bakery. They bake their stuff fresh, and they bake about 2 – 3 times a day. They seem to have some kind of revolving inventory of sweet stuff and and bread, bolillos. All in all a good little bakery. You just have to figure out when they will make what you are looking for. As they are small, they don’t make everything all the time.

The pan dulce is good although not great. My favorite is the one with the vanilla crema inside. The selection is very limited. I gave this place one star based on their consistently rude customer service. Now I’m Latina and bilingual, so it’s not a language barrier. Every time I or my husband have walked into this establishment the couple(owners?) have always been rude. We stopped walking in and saying«buenas trades» after a couples of times of just being looked at and having nothing said in return. The woman is usually on the phone on a personal call and will continue her conversation as she rings you up. If she’s not on the phone she’s watching TV, usually the man(assuming her husband) is busy baking or stocking the bread on racks. My search for my go to Panaderia continues. Although the prices are reasonable and the bread is good, I refuse to give any business patronage where I’m left feeling as if I’m interrupting personal phone calls or their novelas rather than feeling welcomed.

I wandered in and saw these beautiful looking croissants with sugar sprinkled on top. They turned out to be awesome! They were so soft and fluffy inside. The flavors were different then what I’m use to from Costco and Henry’s. Those have a really strong butter flavor while this didn’t. I also bought some conchas. I rate them among the top 3 I’ve found in San Diego. The inside was light and tasty while the sugar on top was a great addition. I showed up around lunch time and everything was nice and fresh!

I always took Cash here to pay my goodies, but i noticed yesterday that they have a Debit/Credit Card machine. I asked the nice owner if they had a minimum purchase amount to be able to use it and she said, «No, it just charges you $.50 when you use it.» C O O L!

The bread is good but unfortunately the service was very bad. I can’t believe how rude the man and woman who seem to own the place(They’re always there) are. My wife and I strive to patronize small businesses to support our community. But why should I go to a place where my patronage is not appreciated when there are panaderias everywhere near the border. If you are looking good pandulce look elsewhere, I know we are!
