I’m a fan of Starbucks in general due to the awesome rewards system. The coffee(for a coffee snob like me) is generally pretty weak but they make up for it with delicious cold brew. This Starbucks is a great place for studying(they turn the AC up real high, so bring a jacket) and the employees are super friendly. Drinks come out real fast as well. I knocked it down a star because drive-thru can get really congested and the parking lot is tiny and hard to back out of, so keep that in mind.

My wife and I have visited this Starbucks(#8706) DAILY for about 5 months — and the service and(several) employees have now made this location un-visitable. It was ok at first, and since this location serves a lot of SDSU students it seemed like the place to be. Today was the last straw: our iced coffees were not made correctly(again), the cashier basically barked at us, never making eye contact, and even with the basically empty dining room the 10 employees behind the counter seemed put out to help us. This isn’t the first time. We will not visit this location again. I don’t expect Starbucks employees to be overly nice, but I definitely expect a certain level of professionalism and courtesy. At first there was some, now there is none. If it weren’t for silly nostalgia, I would cut up my Sbux Gold Card right now.

This a great Starbucks. Nice layout(somewhat spacious), friendly service and the coffee is good, of course. But the one thing keeping me from giving this location 5 stars is the parking lot. It’s so small and doesn’t help when it has 2 entrances from opposite sides that lead into the Drive Thru.

Barista at drive thru had no idea what the drink I was ordering was despite being their newest promotional item, and then also received a latte with no espresso in it. I don’t know how you can mess that up.

What I’ve found great at this Starbucks are the partners & their consistency. Over the years of coming here almost everyday as part of my early morning walk, I’ve had the opportunity to meet and in my reviews shine some«spotlight» on individuals who go above and beyond in delivering the customer experience! Coffee has to be something more when coming to Starbucks & Jason always has a morning«hello» and practically has my drink ready before I’ve paid in line! The drinks are always made to perfection so it’s obvious he takes pride in the job he performs. And to think of it, watch him buzz around the store doing what they call«the clean sweep» and you’ll notice his personal interaction with the customers. With his personality & perfection to the coffee experience — I have no idea why people decide to traffic jam themselves in the parking lot just to go thru the drive-thru and miss meeting him.

Bad service from the drive though today. Ordered a venti mocha frap with mocha drizzle. Got a caramel instead. Returned it to the cashier. The barista was questioning why he gave us the wrong order. He said to her«what a horrid». Very rude. We can hear them talk. She scooped the whipped cream on top and put new whipped cream with mocha drizzle. Well, they forgot the the caramel still in the cup all over the inside. I know it’s not a big deal but the guy was just rude. I went in and asked for a refund instead. Will never return to this location. They tried to offer me a free drink. I didn’t take it.

They have totally redeemed themselves! Maybe they knew they were going downhill and had to do something fast. Well they have! They have a whole new staff and even a ‘coffee master’(I think his name is Jason) who is superb! He is so good with coffee and incredibly detail oriented!!! Very impressive expert at all things coffee! They are back to how I expect a Starbucks should be!

Starbucks is Starbucks… or so I thought. There are different types of Starbucks’ around; Bad ones with annoying and rude baristas, nice baristas but slow service and busy, or busy with good service and good baristas. This one is the 3rd one… I enjoy the drive-thru because I only go to this Starbucks before heading to SDSU for class. The baristas here are always nice and even mention how you can save money when ordering certain things. I have been here about 6 times and have had a good experience each time. The reason it only gets 3 stars is due to the fact that it is just a Starbucks, and the food is not all that. I only come here for espresso shots.

This is my go to Starbucks. The only reason my rating isn’t a 5 star is the parking is difficult and the drive through can get long which in turn makes the parking even more difficult. Other than that there is ample seating within this Starbucks and is great for study sessions. Service: I am here so often I forget to check in but I come during the mornings around 5:30−6ish and the morning staff is so awesome. Plus everything I said in the beginning about parking is never an issue at that hour. I know the staff pretty well because I always go inside before my long morning commute and they have made the effort to remember my name. I’ve been helped by Javier who is a great start if you’re just waking up because he is always so full of energy and ready to help you out. Joseph is noticeably friendly as well and always has a smile when ever giving me my drinks and food. I think my most memorable encounter though was with Melissa who is usually the shift when I come early. The only time I had a bad drink was when there was whip when I asked for none in my coffee and it had too much milk. When I asked if they could remake it she was apologetic and was more than willing to give me another drink. Starbucks is so busy all the time and encounters are always so quick that it surprised me that she took such an effort to give me the drink I wanted and made sure I liked the new one.

I have been coming to this location for quite a while. Used to go in the mornings before work with some friends and the staff was fairly friendly. They didn’t talk too much to us even though we were in there nearly every weekday morning. Not that they need to have full blown conversations with their customers, but recognizing that we frequented the place would be nice. The thing I love about this location is the drive through. I have young kids, so it makes all the difference to not have to hassle with getting them in and out of the car and trying to balance drinks in my hands. The only issue is that the drive-thru«line» allows for people to come in from two different entrances, one at the front of the parking lot and one at the back. Which causes people to take their turn when they aren’t supposed to, and it also blocks the people that are parked. But hey… like I said, I will go out of my way to go to this Starbucks just because it has a drive-thru!

Surely they know me here by now. I order an iced vanilla coffee and they ask if I want cream — but of course I do! Then I jack up my coffee with 6 pumps of vanilla and 2 pumps of hazelnut and let them know, «I like it sweet!» One guy told me it sounded amazing — I know, and it is :) The parking lot is a super nightmare. If the drive-thru is backed up I have no problem going in to get my drink(assuming I don’t have the gremlins in tow), but if a spot farther from the drive-thru isn’t available I take my happy ass home. Ain’t nobody got time to be blocked in at Starbucks! So to be clear: 5 star service, 3 star parking

Not what I’m used to at Starbucks. Went through the drive, and we heard them mess up on or drinks, they had to remake them. They came to the window handed us the drinks and then after they were already in the car she says, we ran out of coffee so those are americano’s. What? You gave us drinks we did not order and then asked if it was ok, after messing the first ones up? When I said it was not ok, she looked at me like I was a jerk? I go to Starbucks daily, this location is consistently under performing. In the end we paid for the whole order already, yet only received on of our actual drinks and one we did not order. They need to ramp the training up at this location with all the seasonal help sourced from SDSU that are not here for long.

Minimal parking, always a line of cars trying to get in the drive through or park. It is usually a cluster. Which makes the line inside slower as well. Otherwise, inside there is plenty of seating inside and some out front.

I love this Starbucks because a) they have a drive through and you don’t have to change out of your pajamas b) they always give my pooch treats c) they never mess up my drink The only negative about this Starbucks is the location is a little hard to get to as it sits on this three way corner AND has terrible parking, particularly with the drive through when it gets backed up.

My neighborhood Starbucks!.. so I frequent this place often. It’s up to par with other Starbucks standards. The people are courteous and relatively quick. In the mornings the drive thru is packed so I suggest going inside to order but in the afternoons the drive thru is manageable. There’s a nice younger black man that works the weekday mornings(shame on me for not catching his name) but he makes the best caramel macchiatos! I also have had the shaken tea lemonade, vanilla latte and chai tea latte here. They have some outdoor tables and umbrellas which is convenient if you walked and have a pup with you. And they always greet the dogs if they are in the car — which I think is just a nice touch.

This starbucks is okay; I only like to come here because there is a drive-thru, although you have to make sure you get there before 7 because it gets LONG. I used to think that if I went inside then I’d get my drink faster, but that’s not the case. Everyone in the drive-thru gets their drinks faster(and I have a friend who works at Starbucks and says the same thing). And the parking lot is such a disaster; even getting into the place is hard because there are cars coming from all directions. Service is hit or miss. I’ve had some really nice baristas and then others you can tell are tired and hate their job. I try not to be engaging with the baristas, anyway; I work in the service industry and unless I know the customer, I don’t like to make small talk. Anyway, the place is big and it offers free wifi. You can even pick up the signal while waiting in your car in the drive-thru line. :D

This location is very clean, very spacious, and the baristas are very quick on their feet as well as energetic. It is so cold in here that it makes studying a little more distracting, but other than that, everything is pretty great! The only reason I give this location a 4 is because I came here before a test and asked for my drink without milk. Unfortunately, the lady helping me did not write it on the cup, so halfway through my drink I started feeling really sick and when I approached the counter, the gentleman said he put 2% milk in it. This was really frustrating because I not only asked the lady who rang me up to not put milk in it, but I have a test in a few hours that I’m now not feeling too well for!
