Ryan Bro’s Coffee

This is probably the only place to grab a coffee in transit at the San Diego Airport baggage claim area. It is located right by the escalators. I ordered an iced earl grey latte, and the staff at first looked concerned as if they were inexperienced. Eventually, I think they figured it out, and I was delivered a strongly roasted tea latte over a good amount of ice. It was delicious! A bit pricey and a bit slow, but will do if you need a small pick me up. There are tables near by in the back for you to wait/​do work etc.

In my opinion, this is the best place for coffee in San Diego. The staff is friendly, the owners are the friendliest brothers in the world, the coffee is to die for, and the food for lunch is surprisingly good. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich today and it was spicy and tasty. Their fraps are outstanding too.
The building is historic and there is a nice coffee house ambiance. Wifi is strong and easy. It’s a great place.

So, I experienced no gungy hand washing incidences like my fellow Unilocaler, but I was greeted warmly by the two folks behind the counter. Never had their coffee before and must say it was far better than Starbucks. For some reason, Starbucks tastes bitter to me — like they like to burn their beans. This place has a smooth coffee — no bitter aftertaste.
And the prices are airport prices — so ankle grabbin’ — I warned you…

After a flight back from Las Vegas all I was looking for was a quick refresher. The Red Tea Latte at Ryan Bros Coffee did the trick.

Ok One this is the wrong address for this location. This Ryan’s Brothers is located at the San Diego Airport in Terminal 2 baggage claim right next to the down escalators. Let me give you a reason why I gave this place a one star, only if I can rate it a negative stars. I am not gonna knock them for their coffee cause their products are good. But what I am really knocking them for is their staff. Mainly the female employees cause well I’m female. And when you see Ryan’s Brothers employees use the restroom you would expect them to wash their hands. The past two days two different employees went to use the restroom and left without washing their hands. I MEAN COME ON NOW! You deal with food and/​or drinks that’s just nasty. Your grown adults and it’s state law. All I’m saying is I’m never going there again so if you want to get sick by all means, have at it.
