Awesome food! Was told to go there by a friend and I am so happy we did! Good price and yummy food. If you are looking for a good place to get some Mexican food this is it!

I have been coming here for 15 or so years and it has always hit the mark for good food at the right price. The best corner Mexican food around.

Not at all impressed. I have no comment on the shop itself because I waited in the car while my husband ordered but my stars are being reviewed for the food. Burritos: flavorless. I expected way better, given this is a popular taco shop in PQ. Maybe we came on a bad night? Maybe we ordered the wrong food? Carne asada burrito had a lot of meat, but minimal guac, minimal pico and we asked to add cheese. They threw in some shredded cheese, not at all melted, so it was a bit much. Pollo asada burrito(we split half and half). I couldn’t even finish this because I was not impressed. The meat had no flavor, again the cheese was a little much, Minimal guac and the tortilla was burnt! Like crispy burnt. What the heck?! I’d like to say, we ordered the wrong meal and if we do come back I will definitely try something more recommended from the reviews below.

Whenever I find myself in San Diego I always make a stop at Rodrigo’s for a carne asada burrito. Best burrito I have ever had, and no other place has ever come close. They also have amazing quesadilla’s where the tortilla melts in your mouth with freshness. Wonderful food and extremely reasonable(cheap) prices can’t be beat!

One of favorite Taco shops in the PQ hood. It’s a little hole in the wall but it’s so worth it! My favorite is the cali burrito and chorizo burrito. I order mine with sour cream. I always call in and pick it up to go. There’s not many tables and if it’s hot out, forget about it. No AC. But it’s great Mexican food!

I spoke with the owner and he heard me out on this issue. I explained that it’s not about the money. I can afford a higher price for my food but it was the way it was handled and it seems weird that a scoop of beans would cost more than meat. He was understanding and very professional.

Best Mexican food in San Diego county. I am a little bias but the food is amazing the Carne and the Guacamole is OUT of this world lol. Best carne asada burrito in San Diego go try them if you don’t believe me…

One of my favorite taco shops. Their hot sauce is also one of the best I’ve had, thick and spicy!

Small taco shop tucked in a slightly overcrowded shopping plaza. That’s basically the whole shabang. Nothing too special. Honestly, the food is subpar, parking is horrible and I would much rather be waiting in line at Taco Fiesta, but since we were over this way to look at an apartment we stopped in. I honestly just believe that I am jaded by the sorry excuse for carne fries I received. Just, no. The meat was diced into tiny cubes, reminded me of dog food. Soggy frozen shoestring French fries and globs of cheese. 0 flavor. Oh! And sour cream is .85 per container, which is decent considering they give you a miniature tub of it.

small mexican food joint at the end of the strip mall, across from stater brothers. no drive-thru. I’ve always gone to cotijas when i’m craving mexican food, but i have a couple friends who swear by this place so wanted to check it out. ordered a carne asada burrito, and while i wasn’t blown away by it, it was a pretty solid burrito. seemed a bit smaller than your average burrito, but not to the point where i felt ripped off. what didnt do it for me was their hot sauces. im a big fan of hot sauce application, but their mild sauce was watery and didnt have much flavor, and the ‘hot’ sauce had a strange, almost burnt taste. and wasnt hot at all. they dont have those pickled carrots in the salsa bar(not sure if its something you have to ask/pay for) =/bummer. the staff was friendly and got the food out quick. they charge 50 cents if you want to pay by debit or credit. if i end up going back, i’ll check out the carne asada chips that everyone seems to love, but for now i think i’ll go elsewhere for my mexican food needs

Not bad! I’ve lived in the area my whole life and just recently got the chance to try this place out. Half the time I’m nearby, they’re closed though… Anywho, we ordered the carne asada chips(only difference between these and the super nachos is the added beans and sour cream). It came with a good amount of cheese, guacamole, and meat, neatly dispersed throughout the layers of thin, crispy, multi-colored tortilla chips. It hit the spot, and was only $ 6something. We also ordered a cheese quesadilla which came out piping hot and greasy(as it should be with real mexican food). The flavors took me back about 20 years. It tasted like the kind of mexican food I used to eat when I was little. Something about the kind of cheese they use? I dont know. It was good. My only complaint may be regarding their hot sauce. It kind of sucks. It was super bitter(imagine roasting a pepper until it turned black and eating the skin). My tastebuds aren’t usually against bitter-tasting things either, but this was just weird. It wasn’t spicy either. Go figure. I can’t imagine myself ever eating mexican food without hot sauce, but if I came back here, I’d probably have to. Maybe I’ll have more luck with the other mild sauces next time.

It’s so good, your dog will even eat a second helping. You can’t even make this up. Siri has one suggestion of my sisters dogs problems.

This little family owned and operated joint is authentic, friendly, fast and well just plan a go to choice. Close to our new home, we stopped in here for our«no one wants to cook but we are hungry and craving a burrito» fix. We’ve sampled the Super Chips with both Pollo Asado and Carne Asada, Carne Asada Burrito, Taco Salad, and Quesadilla. Next trip… gotta get the Carne Asada Fries! A great little place that has quickly become a family favorite. Sláinte!

Rodrigos is the best. The guys who work there are nice and very friendly. I’ll list what I have gotten and is delicious and I recommend… –carneasada burrito –California burrito –quesadilla –rolled tacos –carne asada fries –chips *****there salsa bar is amazing! I love their salsa. For my family of 5 it usually cost around $ 30-$ 40 I think burritos and such range from $ 5.00-maybe 8 bucks? U can eat here or take home. With these guys it’s always a win.

This was my favorite Mexican eatery growing up, especially when I went to Mt. Carmel High School because it was walking distance. The staff is kind & the food is always great. You cannot go wrong with their Carne Asada Chips: carne asada, chips, guacamole, & the option of sour cream. I would pass on their Horchata because it is watered down & could use more flavor.

I’ve been living in PQ for over a year and thus re first time here. I feel obligated to eat tacos every Tuesday so I tried most of San Diego’s tacos shops and now I found my spot. Rodriguez is really cool guy! The 99 cent taco offer is killer! And you eat real fish!

What can I say… I’m still trying to find a taco shop that has better carne Asada chips than Rodrigos! I don’t think I’ll ever find one…
