Can I have a sculpin? Were out. Blu moon? Were out. Fat tire? Sure. wait were out. Fine what do you have? Asahi nice. can I have a glass? One without lipstick? Wait, This is a sapporo.. Takes away sapporo finally an asahi… This was legit the beginning to my meal here. at this point the oyster special I wanted to order seemed to be a potential health gamble but I spun the chamber. Thank god only one of the oysters seemed a bit turned, and didn’t end with me in the hospital. The sauces here were decent, and they had crab, which I prefer over craw fish. I found out as I was paying that the beer was highly discounted, after over hearing them tell the next table over… hello you could have told the dude who got dissed on like 7 beer selections! I dunno, yeah there new, but this visit left a salty impression on me…

This restaurant is fairly new, so doesn’t get packed. Maybe only slightly busy on the weekends, but what’s better than no wait?! Great music and ambiance. Spacious and plenty of tables for small and large groups. All the servers here are friendly and offer quick service. Food comes out fast too. Got a dozen raw oysters. Each oyster comes with a little bit of masago. Squeeze some limes on them and eat it with either Tabasco sauce or their house made fish sauce mix. The oysters are suuuuuuper fresh and delicious. R&B Combo is the best way to go! Huge portion of food, can definitely be shared between more than two people. It comes with king crab legs, snow crab legs, crawfish, clams, mussels, shrimp, corn, sausages, and potatoes. I like how everything in this bag is a good size, large chunks of sausages, large cuts of corn, and full potatoes that are uncut. Really good flavor in the sauce as well, medium spiciness level isn’t really spicy at all, but you can taste a lot of strong flavors. Draft craft beers on tap, wines and soju. Can it get any better?

I started coming here when they first open and the service was great now the service suck. Employees are slow and not very friendly. On top of that they mix the frozen crawfish with the live when you asked live crawfish. I’ve been eating crawfish for a looooong time so I can’t be fool. The sauce is good I have go say. Today I have to give you a 1 star bc of the service and frozen crawfish that you guys mixed in with my live

My only regret was I got popcorn chicken instead of something else because while I wasn’t feeling my chicken I found myself dipping into my roommates food quite a bit. Their corn and potatoes were cooked just like we were at a crawfish boil in Louisiana! The heat rose with every bite and that was something we had been searching for for awhile now! The music was fun and current, just loud enough to make you want to dance but not loud enough you could not hear your dinner mates. This place is fairly new but you would not have guessed by the service. I will absolutely be back and will recommend this place to all of my friends!

So we went out today looking for something new and delicious… We definitely found found it here… Being from Louisiana we always have high expectations for Cajun food and these guys definitely did a great job with the heat… The flavors were amazing and on point… Service was great and the atmosphere was fun… We will definitely be back!!! Thanks guys for reminding me of home!!!

Pros: Relatively new(little to no wait) Sauce is good, ask for extra garlic Basketball game with the actual sound $ 2 beer and $ 1 oysters all day(probably for a limited time only) Shrimp was cooked well, none were soggy Huge crawfish but this probably varies by season Hand washing stations outside of the bathroom!!! Cons: I feel like their«1 pound» is less than other places SHRIMPSDONTHAVEHEADS … They skimp on the salt and pepper things Other: Sauces are labeled pretty confusingly. Medium is hotter than you’re expecting. Prices about the same as other places

First off, this is my second favorite crawfish place. Unfortunately nothing will ever beat Rockin Crawfish in the bay, their sauce is epic. Their $ 2 beers and $ 1 oysters can’t be beat. Such a great deal. Had I known abt this sooner, I would have been there 10x already. We ordered live crawfish and king crab legs with the R&B sauce(mild/med). We also ordered garlic noodles with shrimp(yum) and chicken wings. The sauce was really good. Food was very tasty. The only thing that could have made this better, I don’t like to eat from the bag bc the food stays too hot. I also don’t like dumping the food on the table bc it gets really messy and the sauce is runny. Overall, great atmosphere, delicious food, no wait and my personal favorite, they have huge sinks outside of the bathrooms to wash your hands.

Happy Hour All day everyday. — $ 2 beers — $ 4 house wines — $ 1 oysters and clams Been here a few times and recently with a big party of 10. They accept reservations and this establishment has plenty of tables and TV’s with a nice bar. My party shared… 2 — R&B Combos: comes with(king crab legs, snow crab legs, crawfish, clams, mussels, shrimp, potatoes, corn, and sausage. 1 order was mild R&B Special Sauce the other was medium R&B Special Sauce. 2(dozen) — oysters — nice and fresh taste and good house made sauce. 1lb of Sausage — garlic sauce medium 1 — clam chowder $ 6 came out nice but the temperature was luke-warm. The R&B Special Sauce was a mixture of their cajun style recipe. To me the sauce was okay and was rather on the thick side. I still like Crab Huts full house sauce better. But the garlic sauce medium on the sausages we tried was much more appealing on the taste. Overall: A great place for happy hour. The music was loud when we attended that it was quite annoying during dining. The clam chowder should come on the hotter temperature side. Parking can be a hassle in such a small plaza with other great restaurants. Service was good. Good A-Ok place.

R&B Sauce is good but doesn’t really stand out. I do like how they include one corn and two pieces of sausage for every pound of seafood you order. The shrimp do not come with the heads and I think that takes away from a lot of the flavor. The only thing that sets this apart from the rest is $ 1 oysters and $ 2 beers all day errday! They even have sculpin for $ 2! I was not a fan of the wings. They have a strong Asian flavor and I just wasn’t feelin them.

I’ve never had to wait when I’ve been to R&B Crawfish, even on a Saturday night! I always order the wings which come with a delicious ranch sauce and perfectly crispy fries. Seriously, the fries are awesome! I can’t get enough of the wonderfully battered chicken wings either. The crawfish are large and the sauce is well flavored. An order includes sausages and corn. Okay okay after all of that, there’s MORE! The tamarind dungeness crab is flippin’ amazing. That sauce is so freakin’ delicious. The sweet + tang is the perfect combo, definitely a must-try when you’re at R&B Crawfish! ALSO!!!, oysters are $ 1 during happy hour. Anyway, go enjoy yourself while you’re there :)

…it tastes just as good as any other place so why not? Has a few big tv’s, sports action. Seafood boil was fresh. .ordered the Ultra Combo w\Dungeness crab. Had D. crab, king crab, snow crab, shrimp, mussels, clams, potatoes, corn! It was bomb! Medium spice… was just about right. $ 1 oysters(Fanny Bay) $ 2 beers(drafts & got Grapefruit Sculpin!) …no long lines, so far. And.. $ 2 beer. And. … $ 2 beers. And… $ 1 oysters. Happy hour all day every day! What more can I say? Besides the little things different, most the good crawfish places are on par with each other. So far, first visit, so good! New favorite spot for crab, oysters, beer, sports!

We were visiting family over the weekend and wanted SPICY — this hit the spot. It’s not as spicy as we’ve had it but good enough! So we had a party of 9 and they staff didn’t miss a beat! Very attentive and SUPERNICE! The price was VERY reasonable and HH all day? beers $ 2& glass of wine $ 4!!! AND $ 1 oysters!!! Who wouldn’t want to stay for hours!!! This is a hidden JEM — literally! It’s in the Convoy area and in the corner of a strip mall. If you didn’t know where it was exactly, you’d miss it! GARLICNOODLES — OMG, talk about DELISH! We started with 2 and got 2 more! Ended up with 4 bags of seafood, bag of shrimp, chicken wings and tons of liquor I went to check in on Unilocal and 10% popped up, got that off our bill The staff was amazing and most places will not split the bill the way we wanted! EVERYONE wanted to pay so it was split five ways and they didn’t miss a beat doing that process. Most places can’t figure it out but they did it just as we asked. This may not be a big deal to most but to us it was since most places can never figure out out properly. Kudos R&B for being able to accommodate a party this big so smoothly! HIGHLYRECOMMEND!!!

I’ve been to all the crab huts/towns/dynasties/farms/pubs/parlors in SD and R&B is now my #1!!! Let me tell you why… Their R&B Sauce blows the competition… out the water! It has a little bit of a thicker consistency and the flavor is more noticeable vs my previous favorite Crab Hut. I got mild spice and that had some kick to it. When you order a pound of anything, it comes with sauce and corn, something you don’t find at other places. I don’t like oysters but for $ 1 each, I had to give it another shot. It wasn’t bad, but I don’t like the texture, but you can’t beat $ 1 oysters! They also have $ 2 on any beers! This has been going on since they opened, so I don’t know if it’s just because they are new or if this will be an on going thing, but I hope it keeps on going because you can’t find a pint of craft brew for $ 2 anywhere in SD! Stop waiting and fighting for parking at Crab Hut… open your heart to the new hot spot for your crawfish/shrimp/seafood fix at R&B Crawfish Lounge! chuuuuch!

R&B Crawfish Lounge is a relatively new Cajun /Creole Seafood place in Kearny Mesa. It’s a tough competition to the already existing Crab Hut and Crab Town. My foodie partner and I ordered the following: — King Crab Legs. 1 lb. R&B Special Sauce. Medium. — Crawfish. ½ lb. Lemon Pepper Sauce.(Significant other noted that this was frozen crawfish, not fresh crawfish). — Live Manila Clams. ½ lb. Garlic Sauce. — Dozen Oysters. Fanny Bay. Comes with Corn and Sausage for every lb ordered. Food was pretty good. No major complaints. Excellent service. ENJOY!

We often talk about the best restaurants to take a first date. I might have just found the place to take her(or him) if you 1) either like her/him alot or 2) want to see her/him patience threshold. More to come on that later. We noticed R&B Crawfish Lounge being built for some time now. They’ve been open for just a few weeks but business seemed slow for whatever reason. I needed a date night(hey, girls need those ok) so friend agreed to try R&B Crawfish Lounge one Saturday evening. They currently have all day happy hour so that’s a great first date bonus right there. R&B Crawfish lounge is located in the same plaza as Cathay Bank and is right next to Jeong Won. They currently have $ 2 draft beers, $ 4 wines, and $ 1 oysters during Happy Hour(which is all day currently). Yeah. Unreal. We ordered: OYSTERS $ 1/EACH: — There’s a minimum of 6 oysters you have to order to get the $ 1 per oyster special. But LOOK at this beautiful oyster. It’s topped with bright and briny orange masago roe. The oysters come with fresh lime and a home made mignonette sauce. I believe the mignonette consisted of fish sauce, garlic, and a few spices. I topped my oyster with the sauce, squeezed lime on top, and then gave the oyster a dash of Tabasco sauce. The oyster tasted nicely fresh with a nice punch from the fish sauce. CLAMS $ 1/EA: — The clams here were smaller and a great size to be eaten raw. The meat tasted nicely chewy and had a clean finish with the masago and fish sauce mignonette. R&B COMBO $ 55.99: — The seafood was double bagged and I completely forgot what to do. I posted a video on my blog if you want to see of the staff members showing us how to open the bags. We choose the R&B special sauce with a spice meter of ‘extreme’. The sauce, no joke, was lick smacking savory good. There was a deep rich savoriness that made this sauce mesmerizing. The sauce was thick, garlic intense, and so very good. The ‘extreme’ level of heat was, well, extreme — even for a seasoned spicy food eater like myself. I’m never one to be out-spicyeed but a few times I had to take my gloves off, take a breather, and let the burn subside a bit before I resumed eating. The seafood tasted all very fresh. The shell of the clam was relatively easy to peel(a sign of freshness in my opinion) and the shrimp meat tasted even better dipped in the sauce(inside the bag). Friend enjoyed the two corn cobs inside the bag but said to be careful as each tiny space between the kernels held even more of the extreme sauce. The clams tasted nice but most of the clam meat were missing from the shell(they had fallen into the sauce so no worries there). Service was great and interactive. You could hear ooooo’s and ahhh’s as steaming bags of seafood were being opened. The staff would be alert filling waters and asking if you’d like another drink. We both thoroughly enjoyed R&B Crawfish Lounge. I am not sure how long their all day happy hour will stick around so take advantage of this deal while you still can. I’ve been to other similar restaurants in town but must say that R&B Crawfish Lounge is my favorite.

I’ve been to many crawfish spots around the country and I must say this is one of the best I’ve been to! I went with a friend and ended up ordering a good amount of items off the menu. For starters, the jalapeño poppers are amazing! It’s a great appetizer for sharing(comes with Cajun fries). I got the snow crab legs as my main dish and they were delicious. The bag comes with a corn and sausages. #1 — The oysters are a must. Comes with a secret homemade sauce that’s 100x better than the usual horseradish #2 — The crawfish are HUGE and you really get a bang for your buck. If you don’t have a high tolerance for spicy foods get the mild. It still has a kick, but doesn’t linger or burn your taste buds. The owner, a super kind guy, came out to ask if we were enjoying our food and even gave us a complimentary ½ lb of crawfish to taste! They have $ 3 beers on tap for Happy Hour. Highly recommendable spot.

Decided to try a new creole with my boyfriend. Unilocaled this spot and this place was amazing! Our waitress was attentive and made sure we were taken care of. Happy hour all day(Just alcohol though)! The place itself is spacious and has plenty of seating. If you plan on having a huge party that’s possible. Bar area for seating as well. Food was delicious! We had order our usual shrimp but this time with their special R&B sauce mild. However, compared to the other creole shrimp we’ve tasted the quality of the shrimp here was best out of all places. Calamari had a little distinct flavor of being sweet which made it unique. One of the employees named Tom had offered us a sample of their oyster and homemade sauce which was amazing! I suggest to try their oysters if you’re a fan. Quality is amazing and the house sauce was worth putting on oyster. I plan on coming back!

This place was really empty on a Saturday night! I tried their garlic noodles with shrimp and my friends ordered the crawfish and crab legs. They only have 3 types of sauces(garlic, cajun, and Old Bay sauce) and it wasn’t as good as the other places I’ve been to. The garlic noodles came with a lot of big pieces of shrimp! The noodles were cheesy and a little dense for me. For dessert, we got their root beer floats and it came with a tiny scoop of ice cream, but it at least it was nice and creamy. Service was really friendly and personable, but too bad the food wasn’t very good. Don’t forget to check-in for 10 percent off your bill if you decide to check this place out!

Another new crawfish place in Convoy :). I came here on the first day of soft opening and it was very busy. The owner came out to tell us that he wasn’t expecting this many people! For it being the first day, the service was awesome! Of course there was a wait time because the staff was still figuring things out, but our wait time was not ridiculous at all. And the staff made up for it by being very helpful and friendly. I got one pound of shrimp and crawfish in mild R&B sauce and I thought the sauce tasted perfect and was very good! It was loaded with tons and tons of garlic. My shrimp was delicious, although the crawfish was a bit small and didn’t seem as fresh as the shrimp. I also tried the fries and calamari which was delicious and also quite affordable.
