Detail Systems Mobile Auto Detailing Services

OMG. I bought my «deal» from Living Social. I missed my first appointment because i could not locate the address — even went to a nearby business that told me where the building should be. I then got out and walked the block. The place I finally figured must be that address (no number on it that I could see) was just a bunch of old dusty cars sitting around. After trying to call and being sent to voice mail twice, I gave up. There was NO sign indicating «Get Detailed» either.
I called back the following week. I was told (not sure of his name) that it was the place with the big blue sign saying «Detailing — $ 55.00» on a chain link fence. I made another appt. for Saturday 3−7−15 at 8:00. I found it but it was not easy. I saw the sign but the place looked locked up tight. I drove to the am/​pm and went through a door at the carwash in the Arco parking lot and saw a guy from my perch in the general area of where I thought it might be. Sure enough, he told me to drive into the car wash below me, which I did. He told me to find a shady place to wait at Liberty Station or near Book Star and he’d call and text me when it was ready between 10:00 and 10:30.
So I proceeded to walk with all my stuff (computer etc) to Book Star and wait. By 11:30 I hadn’t heard anything from him so I decided to walk back and see what was up. I found my pathfinder in the lot about ½ finished and the guy in the lot next door working on a different car. I was furious with all the time I had wasted on both of my weekend Saturdays. He mumbled around and said he didn’t know why I was so upset and that I had never said I was in a hurry. I then started to argue with him as I could not believe what I was hearing. I told him to open the gate and let me out of there even tho my passenger side was still dirty. I just wanted to never see him or that place again.
I came home and called Living Social and reported my «experience». What a waste of time and energy.

I recently called to get my boss’s car washed and the turn out was pretty good.
I called the day before to schedule a mobile car wash appointment at our office location and Tony was pretty nice about it. He called early the next morning to confirm the time, which worked out perfectly.
When Tony arrived (on time) my boss went out there to tell him exactly what he wanted done to his SUV (which was clean/​wash the outside, vacuum the inside). Tony told him beforehand that the dog hair in the trunk was excessive and that he might not get all of it out. We told him to try his best and he delivered.
The outside of the car was super clean and shiny and the inside too. He did very nice work and all for only $ 45.00.
Not bad at all for a mobile car wash. Thanks Tony!

Tony and Detail Systems are great! They clean my car inside and out every couple of weeks and I have them wax it about every month or so. They are diligent and devoted to what they do, very responsive, friendly and all around great. I’ve never had a problem with them. In fact, it is just the opposite — Tony fixes things on my car, finds stuff the kids lose and always works hard to please.
I’m very sorry to see the bad reviews. Sounds to me like a Groupon coupon never should have been issued. Detailed Systems is just Tony and a helper. Part of Groupon’s service to the businesses it works with is to evaluate whether the business sending out the Groupon can handle the volume of responses. Clearly that did not happen here.
Detailed Systems really does a great job and Tony really is a good, well-​meaning person. If you haven’t tried Detail Systems, you should. And if you had a Groupon but Tony wasn’t able to respond, consider giving him another try.

Had the same (lack of) response as everyone else. Didn’t bother wasting my time any further with this loser. I called Groupon and got my refund. Never again.

Also bought a groupon and had an appointment scheduled 6 months after the groupon. Not a problem. Called me this morning and requested I cancel the groupon and pay him cash. This made the groupon my problem and not his… he also got too much business from groupon (wow now thats a bad problem to have as a business owner). Tried to reason with this guy as he wanted me to pay for something I already had paid and scheduled for. I asked him if he wanted my business or not. He promptly said no and I hung up. Groupon or not, if the guy doesn’t want business this is a good way to screw it up. Have plenty of friends who are looking for services like his but its obvious they are going to be filing for BK in 2 years after the groupon biz goes away. Thanks for nothing.

I also purchased a groupon 3 months ago. he sold so many groupons that i had to book my appointment 3 months later! the short version of my story is read the reviews below… and don’t expect anything from these guys. terrible customer service. i got a refund from groupon because i didn’t want to deal with this company anymore!

I also bought a groupon… Thinking great deal and great way to help a local business??? Wrong, after calling and leaving a voicemail and calling and leaving a voicemail time after time… I received no response and started to become a little irritated. I looked them up online and clearly states– if you bought a Groupon use the below tab to book your appt– NOT, no appts available till Jan. 13, 2013, … Ps the groupon expires Oct 31^st, 2012… I sent numerous emails… no response again. For any company I think this is a deplorable way to do business. Complete and utter waste of time and money, luckily after a quick email to Groupon explaining the issue and making them aware that they MUST do more research with their vendor contacts to ensure that the number of Groupons that they sell, the vendor must be able to provide, groupon issued me a quick refund and a personal email reply– wow that was easy! The sad thing is I didn’t want a refund I wanted my car detailed… Ugh will review Unilocal before the next groupon purchase.

Don’t waste your time or money trying to do business with no show Tony @
. I paid for this groupon three months ago. Most times I tried calling to make an appointment, there would be no answer and the voice mail was always full. Finally after calling and emailing several times over the months I got through to no show Tony and scheduled an appointment for yesterday at 4pm. No show Tony never showed up for our appointment. I tried calling after an hour of waiting around for no show Tony, no answer, voice mail full. I called Groupon @ 1−888−375−5777, explained the situation and that I will not be doing business with no show Tony, and got my money refunded in a five minute phone call. Do yourself a favor and do the same. Hey no show Tony, people don’t like waiting three months for a service they’ve paid for. People also don’t like making appointments and having unreliable idiots like yourself waste their time and not show up. We don’t want to hear your whiny excuses. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. Way to rack up the negative reviews, keep up the good work.

I also bought a groupon for this company, wish I never had. I just tried to reach them and at first had no luck because the company has one phone number (a cell phone) and the mailbox was full. I tried several times and finally got a call back. The guy was rude from the start, actually complained about how many times I tried to reach them. Then when I tried to book an appointment he informs me that he is booked for the next couple of MONTHS! When I told him that is crazy he proceeded to argue with me and was pretty rude. Told me I should have known how many deals Groupon sold and that it’s not his fault if I didn’t pay attention to that (as if it’s my job to know how much business they can handle?) Said «how can you expect to jump the line» (if I had been told there would be a line I wouldn’t have bought it) and «you know it’s a good deal, you want that for nothing» (hello, it’s not a good deal if I can’t use it). He was unbelievably unprofessional, had no idea how to handle a customer or run a business. I bought this groupon planning to have my car cleaned to sell it, obviously I’m not gonna let my car sit idle for several MONTHS until I sell it just because he’s overbooked.
If he had apologized and said he hadn’t anticipated the response from groupon I would have been annoyed that they didn’t limit the number available, but would have figured mistakes happen. But to be rude and give ME a hard time for their mistake is inexcusable. Stay away from this place.

I bought a Groupon for this service — what a mistake! I left at least 5 messages on his phone and wrote 4 messages on their website contact page and they could not be bothered to get back to me. I mean how stupid is that to put your company on a Groupon offer and then screw up any positive advertising with terrible customer service. Tony — I would have understood if you had simply called me back to say you were too busy. You wasted everyone’s time

An update: I got a call from Tony about half an hour ago demanding that I take down my post. He claimed that I didn’t give him enough opportunity to fix the problem. When I called him and asked for him to fix the problem I didn’t feel like he was offering enough to me by simply telling me to use fans, or use air freshener. I didn’t feel that I should have to spend more money to fix his mistake. I didn’t feel that I should have to call more than once and badger him to fix this mistake. I took my SUV to another detailer the following Friday and she told us that who ever did this job did a horrible job. She offered to fix the entire car for free because she felt bad for me. She also clayed, waxed and polished the car after she was finished and would only let us pay her $ 75.
I explained all this to him, again. He began to get heated, and began cussing at me. He told me that he took my «s%^t-box car» and did the best he could. What did I want from him? Did I want him to wave a magic wand and have everything be perfect? He said my post was bulls%^t. He demanded that I do take my post down. I told him it was my privilege as a consumer to write reviews on services I have received and that it is his privilege as a business owner to respond to these review. He told me to just take it down, and he would forget that all of this happened. I asked him «what is that supposed to mean?!» and he said «you’ll figure it out» — then hung up on me.
Tony asked me to do HIM a favor and take my post down, after he yelled at me and cussed at me on the telephone for 15 minutes. I believe the consumer is owed a favor… I can’t NOT report this.
Tony, I’m sorry you feel that I am doing you a injustice, but I have every right to report my experiences. You calling me immature, is saying that everyone that writes negative reviews is immature. Learn from this. Next time someone calls you and asks you to fix something they are unhappy with, do it then. Don’t tell them to sit back and wait a few days and see what happens. It’s a part of customer service. It’s not «only fair that I remove this, and chalk it up to the fact that my car was ‘in bad shape’». It might be too late for me to receive a refund, as you pointed out, but I am not removing my post. Please stop calling my place of business, if you continue to call I can and will file harassment charges.
