It was my first time here in Gaslamp and my friends and I decided to celebrate America’s bday by coming here to drink and dance the night away. We came here before the crowd and cover was free, which is always a plus. Right when I walk in, it was like taking a walk down memory lane. I grew up in the 90s so it was nice to hear 90s music playing. As the night went on, the music transitioned into today’s music. The crowd didn’t come pouring in until after 11. So, the bar wasn’t crowded, and it was quick to get our drinks made. I liked how there were an ample amount of seats. There were seats around the bar and tables with chairs near the bar. It’s so often that night clubs don’t have resting spots, especially when you need a break from dancing. There was also a Photo Booth, which is such a fun thing to have at a night club. It was a bit pricy though, and you can barely fit four people. Bathrooms were clean, but there were very limited booths available. The bathrooms were actually for only singer users at a time. When I find myself back in SD, I’ll definitely hit this spot again.

This place is free cover, great music check it out if in downtown. It gets very crowded after dark so be prepared to be standing.

This place is one of the only bars in SD that has whiskey pickle backs! So awesome! Drinks: The drinks were fantastic and I can’t believe they have pickle backs! Service: Super friendly and quick bartenders! I was super happy with the service! Price: Very affordable pricing! Overall: I can’t wait to come back to drink again!

I purchased the Living Social deal for 2 brunch entrees and bottomless mimosas. I had never noticed this restaurant before; however, it is located across from the Andaz at 6th and F downtown. Of course, this requires either street parking or parking in one of the paid lots nearby($ 8). I would say we showed up around 1pm on a Sunday. The atmosphere wasn’t empty or dead, but it wasn’t crazy busy either. It was relaxed and cool and seemed like a great spot to just hang and have a few drinks. The music was good and lively. We were able to sit outside and were served very quickly. I got the chicken panini minus the bacon; and my amiga got the chilaquiles verde. I was extremely happy with my food, but my friend believes she made the wrong choice. The bottomless mimosas were good and poured until 3pm. They were included in our deal, but are otherwise $ 10. I was very impressed with our server, Leslie. She was very positive, attentive, and accommodating. I would definitely like to stop by again.

Amazing!!! Usually i am very picky on where i go, even though i like to go to new places and i observe every detail once i am there. But i do not have anything bad to say, it was just awesome. the DJ was crankin’ some awesome music, the environment was pretty amazing, people there were really nice. the place is pretty big, it has two full bars inside, one where you can eat and the other one just for the drinks. The dance floor is small but its totally worth it to go. you do have to wait for a while because this is a very popular place and it gets packed and the line is long. I also loved it because you do not have to pay a cover charge, which is pretty coooolllllllllllllllllllllllll!!!

Good drinks + good atmosphere = a great place to party downtown. As a bar, it’s very comfortable and fairly roomy. Everytime I’ve been it’s never been too crowded nor too empty. It’s just right! The bar is adequate, not over the top with mixoligist serving up trendy drinks, but the drinks well priced and the service is prompt and friendly. If you like to dance they typically have a dj during the weekend and a decent dance floor. They could benefit from some better club lighting. All they have is a disco ball. What’s nice is that there is an area separate from the music and dancing so you can hangout and chat with friends without shouting in each others ears. I would describe quality social as a more low key version of barleymash. As a restaraunt, I wasn’t too impressed with food. I’ve only eaten there once and I felt the food was over priced for the quality. They definitely are trying to be on par with craft and commerce, neighborhood or lionshare, but I feel they came up a little bit short. Maybe(hopefully) they have improved the menu since my last visit. In short 4⁄5 for drinks and dancing. 3⁄5 for dining.

Truth be told… the only reason I go to Quality Social is for their Sunday Bottomless Mimosa Brunch. $ 10 for endless(okay between 11am –3pm) mimosas –not a bad deal at all. Especially since every server I’ve ever had was really friendly and will always take my request for«just a splash of OJ» when refilling our carafes. However, if I’m enjoying a mimosa filled Sunday-FunDAY, I’ve got to fill my tummy with some food. They’ve recently changed their menu and slimmed it down considerably. I recommend the BLT Benedict — a pork belly benny or the Fish Tacos. Both quite tasty and pairs well with bubbly.

I purchased a living social for this place and decided to give it a try today! The deal was brunch for two and bottomless mimosa. I had the chicken and waffles and my other half had the chicken panini. The panini was not that great. I would not order that again, but the chicken and waffles was tasty! The chicken was boneless but sooooo moist and juicy! Not dry like I was expecting it to be. Service was ok. The manager handled our living social and she was very polite and friendly. She even gave us a coupon for our next visit. Sweet touch… Our waitress was nice in the beginning, but the service fell short over time. Overall, not a bad experience and I would be back if I was in the area. Btw their breakfast shot was interestingly good. Irish whiskey shot ., Chase it with a shot of OJ and a slice of bacon!

Great brunch and fabulous deal on bottomless mimosas! Only complaint is that I wish they were open for brunch/lunch during the week so that I could go more often! Fantastic cocktails from great bartenders, and yummy food to go along with it… Chill during the day, then the music pumps up and lights dim late-night, giving it more of hip bar/club vibe. Lots of fun!

Loved this place!!! I had been wanting to go for-ever and having not been in the club/sd bar scene in over 2 years, I was short of having a squeal when I heard we were coming here instead of the typical cliché nightclub. My friends happened to know a girl working the door and she got me and all my crew of 8 in with a table and a free bottle of champagne!!! BUT! I was sold at the door, when they were doing NO cover and«2 for 1 drinks» at the door for EVERYONE! :D It was an amazing experience. Plenty of space, beautiful people, inexpensive drinks and dance music(think more edc than gangsta booty shaking) and I loved it. I had a drink called The Crush that was delish, kind of like a mule with mint but sweeter! I will be back! ;)

We stumbled upon this place on a Sunday afternoon while looking for somewhere to meet with friends to watch the football game and have a pre-dinner drink. There were plenty of seats available and excellent happy hour specials including: $ 2-$ 3 appetizers(olives, tacos, cheese fries, pretzels and almonds) and $ 3 – 5 drinks(beer, wine, some vodka and whiskey drinks). The service was great and attentive. The bites were pretty good. The fries were perfect game food(comes with pepper jack cheese, sour cream and chives and you can add bacon, duck and avocado for $ 1 each). Between the four of us we had about 4 beers, 2 shots, a glass of wine and 3 appetizers and our bill was only a little over $ 30!

First of all, love for our server Jess on a recent visit: She’s a sweetheart and handled our table with ease. Did you see the blushing bride and bow-tied and smitten groom there last Friday night? Yep! They were our friends and our reason to make our way downtown that night: The BF and I were the first to arrive of the wedding after party group and were escorted to some reserved tables. There was a pub crawl going on in one half of the bar but our section was ready to go. We were starving, early and feeling snacky so we ordered the sliders, the pretzel bites and the sweet potato fries as well as some cocktails and scotch. The sliders were flavorful and not over salted and the pretzel bites themselves were hot, fresh and fantastic. The cheese sauce they came with was extremely bland and the texture was way off-sat like a lump in its dish, tragic as we were looking forward to it. The beer-mustard was a win however as well as the sweet potato fries and the sauce that came with them: A Chili lime avocado creama– Delish! Cocktails were nicely made and the Scotch list hit the spot. The organizer for our party had bottle service at our tables and the staff was all over it, keeping ice and mixers ready. The DJ was alright, I like house music but I think the crowd would have enjoyed something more Top-40: We kept thinking about dancing but never got hype enough-One solid song would have got us there and pushed us to stay and play even later. Note:This ain’t my first rodeo: I’ve been here a few times now and it’s a solid choice! I’ve also tried the deviled eggs, the oysters, and the Cubano-All yum.

Came here for Brunch on a Saturday and it was better than expected. My bf and I thought there would be some sort of breakfast buffet. that’s what we were expecting. but no. It’s all menu items. Which turned out to be SUPERB. He got the chilaquiles verde and it was REALLY good… it’s basically breakfast nachos. It was delicious. I got one of their specials. their BLT. IDK what they did to that bread, but it was soft and just the perfect amount of toasty at the same time. They didn’t skimp out on the bacon either. I was thoroughly impressed by their Brunch. Would def come here again for brunch.

I came here 2x during this Labor Day Weekend since it seems that the Gaslamp district doesn’t really have quick food options. I came here on Saturday morning for brunch, ordered the tacos(which were pretty bland), and the rest of my group had mimosas. I think the mimosas are bottomless, which is great(but not for me since I wasn’t drinking). The service was ok; one of my coworkers and I had gotten there a bit after the others but our orders were taken pretty quickly although the food took a while to come out. The 2nd time I went was for dinner that night. We had spent all afternoon at the Andaz pool party, which I left early to take a quick nap. I went to dinner with some of the group at Quality Social again, and it was busy! This was about 8pm, and it was pretty packed. Luckily, my boss and coworkers got a table and were drinking beers. We all ordered a burger(the same one with avocado, can’t remember its name). It took FOREVER to get our food. It was busy, but not THAT busy that it took over half an hour. We were drunk(not me) and hungry and getting increasingly annoyed. Eventually, it came and we devoured the burgers, which were also kinda bland. TL, DR: Service/getting food is slow. The food is bland.

First of all, the Staff at Quality Social are high quality and deserve 5 Stars for their INCREDIBLE customer service last night. We were there for Sunset Trivia Semi-Finals(yeah we are nerds)… along with 25 other teams of 6 people each. The bartender told me that she felt like she was off to a slow start, I never noticed so maybe she is being hard on herself. I love the interior of this place, and I love going number 1 in a «closet»… The bathrooms are fantastic! You get your private potty room to tinkle in and I love the sinks that they have in there. Looks like that they got some of the stuff from a vintage store, I love it! The wine was good, I had a nice chardonnay while we played — but the issue I have is with the food. I ate my tacos that were the size of my palm if that but I can tell you that I was starving by the time we left the place. They were also over cooked and too crispy. My husband’s portabello mushroom sandwich was on the dry side and lacked any flavor. I do thank them for allowing us to play trivia there, like I said, the staff was wonderful! I just won’t make a trip out of my way to eat here, I was not impressed with the food and when I saw the people coming through the door after 7:00 pm «PB crowd» ran through my mind.

1 – Quality drinks. The cocktails and well drinks taste like doubles when they’re only singles. They’re the way drinks are supposed to be made. The only thing I don’t like is that plain straight-out-of-the-bottle shots cost as much as the cocktails! 2 – Very extensive drink menu that’s highly competitive compared to other bars or gastropubs in the Gaslamp — wines, craft cocktails, beers, etc etc 3 – Cool enough that the locals(I’m looking at you 92101 zip coders) come as well as out of towners(i.e. anyone who has to drive into Gaslamp) 4 – On Fridays and Saturdays it’s a lively bar as well as a decent place to dance, and it never becomes a club scene(and no cover ever!). You can still have meaningful conversations while enjoying the bustle of the crowd.

Yesss! After a solid all-around experience here, including the outstanding night I had here to see Tensnake a couple months ago, this place has become one of my favorites in the Gaslamp Quarter. Quality Social generously offered for me to return to try their food and I was able to pay them a visit this past weekend. They were the dinner stop before a night at Voyeur and it was the perfect pre-club rallying point. We shared the pretzel bites, which were delicious nuggets of that chewy pretzel bread that I can’t get enough of. This came with a spicy mustard sauce and a cheese sauce for dipping — I stuck with the cheese sauce although the texture was a little on the lumpy side, but tasted great. We also had oysters on the half-shell and the mac ‘n cheese, topped with bacon. For my entrée, I went with the recommended lasagna, which was a 4-inch-thick stack of homemade noodles, cheese, and bolognese sauce. How Quality Social knew that I like my lasagna to be comprised of at least 80% noodles is downright clairvoyant, but they totally got my Achilles’ heel. I was thankful that I had a long night of dancing ahead of me to work off the oversized meal that I ate! Special thanks to Betsy for being an awesome server, prompt and friendly, and ready with recommendations for a table of girls who couldn’t make up their minds!

As I was sitting at the bar, dirnking my 32nd Mimosa and plowing through some chilaquiles and breakfast potatoes it dawned on me that I only gave QS4 stars. I had to make it right. First of all, IMHOQS has some of the best bartenders in Gaslamp. Every time we go, Garrett and Jen never disappoint. Second, the food here is outstanding and I’ve never had a dish I didn’t like. I love that the menu changes and I love the fact that I’m sitiing in a pretty cool bar eating gourmet food. I don’t like going to Gaslamp often because it’s touristy and even though I don’t live in SD, I hate dealing with people here to «tear S#!t up» in my city. I always make an exception for QS. ALWAYS!

We were staying at the Marriott up the street and wanted to have a nice brunch before we headed back to LA, so we ended up at Quality Social. We walked in and were greeted right away and since we had a group of seven, we were seated at a high table to the right of the restaurant. The chairs were uncomfortable and we were spread too far apart, so we requested to move to a big booth to the left of the restaurant. Much better! I really liked the minimalistic stationary décor, and with the added holiday decorations it made for a very cozy atmosphere. Our waitress was an absolute sweetheart. She was very friendly and she memorized all seven of our orders even down to the details and extra requests, without having to write anything down. I was eyeing the biscuits and gravy and should have stuck with my gut, but instead I ordered the Chilaquiles Verde which was extremely dry and bland. I had to add tons of hot sauce in order to get it down. I had a bite of my friends biscuits and gravy which was much better. Our waitress was very sweet in helping with bringing out a cake that we had snuck in for our friend’s birthday, and she even brought out a complimentary birthday shot. I want to give this place more than 3 stars because everything was so great, but my plate of $ 12 dry chips topped with 2 eggs was such a disappointment. Also, the dj they had spinning was on point. He created such a chill and mellow vibe with great transitions. I think all of us were simultaneously bobbing our heads or tapping our feet the entire 2 hours we were there.

Quality Social SD: Downtown 1pm Saturday 1st December 2012 Four Stars This place is pretty unbusy for brunch. Our Amazing Bartender Gareth served up some delicious $ 10 Bottomless Mimosas and our wonder waitress Meghan served up some delicious grub. I had their ice cream sandwich to start. They sandwiched chocolate Ice cream between two peanut butter cookie and accompanied it w a side of cranberry sauce. I then had the SHORTRIBANDPORKBELLYHASH. The meat was phenomenally good but there was too much other stuff going on. There were beets, mushrooms, potatoes, broccoli, broccolini, pearl onions, and Brussel Sprouts. The Buttermilk Biscuit was delightful. Overall, this was a very mellow way to have Saturday Brunch.
