I lived around the corner from this pizza place for a couple years and ordered from them almost every week. They have great pizza, sandwiches, salads and pastas. Delivery was always faster the estimated time. I’m really surprised they don’t have more than 3.5 stars I’ve always gotten great food and service.

Ok I have been Visiting this trip to San Diego for about a year or more It took Me a few Months to weed out all the bad Pizzas places in the area Mainly the big name Pizza Places … Papas is the Best for the price and delivery. Key delivery Keep it simple for Good food good to great product and you have my vote. This is a mainly a pizza Joint I have tried there other food stay with the pizza you will be happy every time. subs are tiny and they cost to much but there good not great .I am rating the Pizza I Love it for the price.

I live about 5 blocks for Papa’s Pizza so I hoped for a good neighborhood pizza store. When the store was originally opened a decade or more ago they had some pretty darn good food. Since then the business has turned over one or more times and most of the good came to a screaming halt. I’ve tried their pizza a few times and was disappointed, at best, every time. Finally I was done with giving the pizza any more second chances and decided to try their Eggplant Parmigiana last night. Welllllllllllllllllll I couldn’t believe what they put in the bag. Four dried up Eggplant Parmigiana like pieces displayed on top of a pound of crappy bland rubber spaghetti and two pieces of cardboard like garlic toast. 85% of this crap went into the trash can. I may go back for a sandwich again but that’s it, their other food has proven to be crap.

This pizza place is pretty decent. They deliver thin crust pizza with mozzarella at an amazing price. Their eggplant parmesan dish is huge and delicious. Really hits the spot and delivery. Wish they had mussels in red sauce but most San Diego restaurants don’t. Overall the convince of this place can’t be beat, they are a hole in the wall pizza place with delivery and accomplish that well.

I’m giving it 2 stars just because it smelt good when I walked in otherwise it’d be 1. This is the first time I’ve ever walked into a business and not been acknowledged. I stood up front by the register for about 5 min and didn’t get so much as a how are you or we’ll be with you in a minute. Had that happened I would have stayed to order. What dissuaded me from ordering is the fact that I had been standing there a few minutes with no acknowledgement but as soon as the phone rang a guy came to answer it, apparently no one said anything cuz he just hung up and walked away still not saying anything to me. So I decided fine, you clearly don’t want me to spend my money here and walked out. The service here is terrible, I’ll never come back here simply for that reason.

Eaten from here probably 20 times now, and just about to move away (SO SAD).
One of the main reasons I love this place is because of the FREE DELIVERY. I live really close so that’s probably why, but I can’t complain. They always tell me 30 – 45 minutes and it always shows up within 20 minutes. So can’t complain there either.
This isn’t «craft pizza» its good old, homemade, down the street pizza. greasy, covered in cheese and all around amazing. The Large is only $ 9.99 for a pepperoni! What a deal.
When i’ve gone in to pick up my pizza, they have been friendly and nice, maybe a little slow to recognize my presence but still efficient.
I am so sad to be moving away from the free delivery but I will still order from here, even if I have to pick it up!

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN TOWN
GO HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE CALLED A LIAR.
I love their Pizza. However, I experienced terrible customer service. The man (Short Mexican Fella) was very rude to me. He also over charged me. He made up some add’l charged for the pizza. It made me mad enough for me never to go back to Papas ever again and to write this bad review. All I’m saying is that it could of been handled differently.

Prices on their menu are not the real price, the price quoted on the menu is about $ 5 more than advertised. Also, the coupons on the website are supposedly already applied to the menu price. For example the pizza and wings pack we ordered was advertised as $ 21.99, minus the $ 5 off coupon from their website it should of been $ 16.99. Instead they charged us $ 24.99. When we asked about the coupon they said that the $ 5 bucks off was already applied to the $ 21.99 price listed on their menu, the problem is that nowhere on the menu it states that the coupon discount is already calculated into the menu price. There’s only one word for that… Extortion on hungry customers!

Food is your normal pizza. Nothing special, not bad either. No fountain drink, ice, or rest rooms. Seating for about 20 – 22 total. Staff seemed friendly enough. Pizza sizes range from Medium to X-​large but no personal size.

Ok, so I gave this place another try because it was rainy out and I was lazy and hungry. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. It arrived quickly and it was almost too hot to bite into. Loaded with steak and veggies, oozing with cheese. This place has definitely redeemed itself since my last experience over a year ago. $ 18 is pretty expensive for 2 sandwiches without fries but you can’t beat the convenience of delivery! Nice save, guys! nice save.

Good wings, good coupons, and the pizza was loaded with toppings. Fast and friendly delivery. I hope to give it more stars in the future, but I have had alot of REALLY good pizza in my life (Fillippi’s in Little Italy, Hoboken Pizza in PB) and I am comparing it to that. Will orer again though.

Went to visit a friend in Clairemont today. We went for a walk, and then to Papa’s for lunch. This is a tiny hole in the wall pizze place, that was recently remodeled, and the booths are new.
We shared a delicious Hawaiian pizza. It was loaded with ham, pineapple and lots of cheese. One of the best ones that I’ve ever had!
