Awesome for a one stop shop to purchase produce, meats and some more for a Mexican dinner in the neighborhood. They also have a tortilleria where they make flour and corn tortillas. The corn tortillas aren’t the best but I like their hand made flour tortillas which I use for making burritos for lunch. Check it out for yourself if you need produce at affordable prices!

On Friday, January 22, 2016 I went to the supermarket Pancho Villa 2004 Dairy Mart Rd #105 San Ysidro CA, 92173 I bought a full uncooked chicken from the meat department they have there. I went home a started to prepare dinner 5 minutes after I had purchased the food. The chicken was rotten and completely spoiled. I went back and told them what happened, they offered 6 dollars for the mistake. However I asked to speak to the manager and she seemed uninterested. I told her that the chicken I purchased was sitting out with the rest of the chicken and she just said she would take care of it. However nothing happened and she continued to sale the chicken that was already displayed. The manager did not seem to care if anyone else got spoiled meat. I am not sure where to go to with the information because if I was upset with the situation I can only imagine if other actually ate the food or worse fed it to their children. The people working at the meat department did not seem to care much for the situation either.

This market is right by my house, and we go there all the time. They have AMAZING fresh, homemade tortillas! Awesome prices on produce and meat. Everything is super cheap and pretty fresh. The staff is super friendly and helpful! I’m glad they took over the old market, much better quality!

Similar to the original location off El Cajon blvd. The supermarket has become a great convenience for those in the local neighborhood especially since Lucky’s(nearby on: W San Ysidro Blvd) can be very busy depending time of day or on weekends. Sometimes the quality of the produce or meat is questionable but so was the former market located in the same exact building. Beer prices are expensive at Panchos and it seems as though every other bodega or market is overpriced for cerveza.
