So excited this store is closing. Always dead over priced and don’t have half the things I need.

I would give zero stars but … Well went in to purchase a birthday cake for my faster in laws 84th… And asked for help from a lady in the bakery dept. when I approached her? And asked for help? She made me feel as though I just asked her to paint my house ?! She was rude, angry and apparently hates her job. She grunted at me for bothering her and she walked away. I want to say her name was Teresa and located at telegraph canyon Haggens. So stay away from Teresa and that store. Thumbs down.

Haggen has announced they are closing multiple stores including this one. I am dissapointed to see this happen as the Albertsons that was there before was just fine, now we have nothing. Seems almost spiteful that Haggen would close down and lay off their employees instead of adjusting prices to the region, many of those employee’s transitioned over from Albertsons and the Max Foods that was there before that, good people that worked hard to take care of the customers. Tuck that tail between your legs and run away Haggen, we will be fine without you

I Have shopped at the new Haggens San Ysidro a couple of times and am enjoying the nice, clean and spacious isles inside as well as plenty of parking in the lot. No fighting for parking and nobody breathing down my back at the checkout register. What a refreshing change to the luckys that once was. I don’t mind paying extra for the Luxury of shopping in a clean, less polluted grocery store. I hope they continue with the No WIC since there is a WIC Voucher store next door. Great addition to San Ysidro.

I have been a customer of this location going as far back as when it was a Big Bear in the 1980s. I have always appreciated the convenient location and affordable prices. Unfortunately I am looking elsewhere to do my shopping these days. I hoped Haggen would bring healthier options at reasonable prices for a community that tends to be low-incomed. The store looks very nice but the prices just do not mesh with the customer population; I have seen my personal grocery expenses spike. Sadly, me and my family will be looking for a new market unless Haggen’s becomes affordable. Many of my neighbors and friends in the city share the same sentiment: it is just too pricey. I chose to give them a two star because the store is rather clean and the employees(many of them worked under Lucky/Albertsons) are friendly and helpful. Although I am looking elsewhere for my shopping I would support Haggen in a heartbeat if the prices were adjusted to match the needs of my community.
