It is a bit pricey but you forget about it once you bite into
whatever it is you order. Not a fan of the weekend cashier.

Horrible breakfast burrito !! the bacon was burnt the salsa is nasty!

Visited on 12/​08/​2015 and witnessed employee Bette wear the same latex gloves go from handling food to emptying trash bins and back again. When employee was confronted they informed it was okay because touching the bags was not unsanitary. Could not believe it. A+ service by San Diego County Health Inspector’s who just notified me today their investigation was complete and found my concerns were justified and downgraded to a B for sanitation. Employee’s did not even have access to soap to wash their hands. Scary.

I have eaten here close to 10 times. The food is good not great but of all the items the chicken quesadilla is the best value…

These SOB, s served me up food poisoning for breakfast. Probly because im white, i asked for eggs over medium got sunny dide up gross, didnt wanna return thrm outta of fear of cook reprisal, sure enough 6 hrs later i was writhing in abdominal pain comin out both ends, eggs are getting expensive snd this place solves that by servin up anyway. It was like getting bit by a, snake in the grass

BIG PORTION! The burrito is literally the size of my hands, or a little bigger. Lol
It tasted oh so delicious! Loaded with cheese, sour cream, and guac, Hmm!

Got a California burrito that was crazy good. Today was my first time there and I will be back very soon.

I had only been there three times I believe. The first two times were good. Good food. Quality customer service. Reasonable prices. The last time I went I was sitting at a table waiting for my take out order and I saw a young lady making a batch of hot sauce and kept adding tap water to it and I witnessed her place her bare hand in the container holding the hot sauce as if she didn’t have a spoon to mix it. I was completely turned off. I won’t return here again.

Good food. Great portions for the right price. Free chips! Cool aquarium to stare at. I dig the veggie burrito and their tacos are monsters! And that carne quesadilla! But they have a pretty extensive menu. Service is usually on point and the place is kept clean.

I love there breakfast burritos if your hungry this is the place to go they have a full salsa bar w chips and have more options than you could ever possibly imagine and I’ve been here dozens of times and it’s always good they make really good carne asada enchiladas yummies

Best mexican food in kearny mesa by far! Cheap food and friendly staff! Huge salsa bar with endless amount of hot Carrots and salsa! There breakfast burritos are to die for. Its a must go if u are in the area

SO good. Some places are hit or miss, I have never had a «miss» here. These are the only breakfast burritos my co workers ever want to eat… doesn’t matter which one, either! The bacon pieces are nice & thick, my only pet peeve (Personal issue) is that the potatoes aren’t always as soft as I want them to be, but I can work through that. The prices are fair based on the portion you are receiving.
Only things that keeps me away from time to time is fighting that parking lot during lunch time… It’s tough

Not sure how or why I chose to order to-​go from here one night but I did. Your regular run-​of-​the-​mill Mexican joint. I tried their posole, which I thought was pretty good and a monster Torta that I lived off of for two days. Food was decent and their portions are large. If I were in the area i’d eat here again.

#1 Mexican in SD, literally. You guys are the best and no one can bit you. I’m a huge fan of your «KILLER» Burritos, keep up with the awesome food!

Food is good and prices are reasonable compared to the other mexican food in the area. Gets very very busy during lunch time, therefore order in before u come in. The girls in the front are super friendly, always excellent service.

–Super busy during lunch time.
–A lil more expensive than other taco shops, but its most likely due to the location.

My co-​workers love this taco shop! To me it’s a typical taco shop… They do have some extra perks though, they have a huge selection with a lot of sea food, they have an alternate menu/​restaurant with salad and smoothie options. They have a chips and salsa bar with hot carrots for no extra charge, and the portions for all the meals are huge… Again, other than those perks, typical taco shop

This place defintely cashes in on the lunch crowd in the surrounding area, its tucked away in the little strip mall across from the county operations center. Perhaps the coolest thing about this place is their expansive salsa bar (
). It offers free chips for to go and dine orders (
) and carrots, peppers, salsa, radish and limes. I tried all their hot sauces and they’re all quite amazing, the salsa palominos being my favorite.
I went with their pollo asado torta (
) which is freakin massive. It came fully loaded with marinaded chicken, cheese, avocados, carrots, tomatoes and sauce. Everything clicked on this torta, the bread didn’t get soggy like most places either. Not knowing how big this sucker was going to be, I added a side of beans (
) to my order as well. The beans came out piping hot and were very well seasoned and topped with cheeses.
Palominos is a great place to grab breakfast, lunch or dinner. They have quite a large breakfast menu with tons of options. They also offer lots of different Mexican soups every day. Be wary though, they charge a 50 cent fee for cards.

Went to kill some time and fill the stomach while waiting to get a massage at Ocean, just some doors nearby. I was not expecting a food fest! I was hesitant to enter there, as I did not like the name (I know, probably sounds stupid, but I care about those things and in Spain ‘palominos’ can mean caca, so no, thanks). However, the other options in the same strip mall were not appealing to me. Then my brain got foggy with that many options.
They do a great job in adding a picture of each dish, as if you are not necessary familiarized with the naming, it would take you too much time to know what each dish contains. I got one of those combos of carne asada and some shrimps and was HUGE!!! and delicious. Of course the fork broke (after all this is supposed to be fast food, no?) and there was nothing fancy in eating out of the box, but the restaurant is pretty big, clean, you have an interesting aquarium if you are into checking fish dancing and there is nothing to complain about here. Great food, huge portions, good prices.

Came in search of a great Carne Asada burrito again… Palominos has a decent burrito but I did not really care for the stuff in the guacamole. Too many tomatoes and onions. My search continues.
This place is pretty clean and the service was great. Their salsa bar was pretty amazing. They had a pickled habenero with onions. I did not taste it because that is too hot for me but it looked great!
