As you can tell by a lot of my reviews I love a good Pizza. Unfortunately this place fell as flat as it gets. Absolutely the worst pizza I have had in San Diego in 10 years. Went to the lunch buffet the place was nearly empty at noon(Hint hint). The Pizza that they had out there was just a hodge podge of old dried up looking shit that would remind you of a pizza left out overnight. Sauce was all dried up the grease was dried up the cheese had no real flavor. I was there for at least 30 minute and never once did they put a fresh pizza out. They kept shuffling old crusty slices onto another pan then take the empty pan away. Being as it wasn’t busy at lunch time you would think they would be able to clean the tables. my first table looked clean until isat down and stuck my forearm into a sticky dried puddle of Sierra mist or Sprite. Pretty much every Tv had a Soccer game on it(Get a clue, a majority of Americans hate soccer) Total waste of 11 bucks, I would have gotten better value if I lit my cigar with those 11 dollars.

We ate here on our family vacation and it was a pleasant experience. The pizza was good but pricey. Our son ordered the meatball sub that was hands down the best part of our meal. The salad bar is a nice addition but again a little more than we typically pay for a family dinner. The atmosphere is nice and they have a fantastic selection of craft beers.

My favorite pizza place! I love this place for the pizza(my personal favorite is buffalo chicken) and the super fresh salad bar, and the atmosphere. It’s great for kids, and on M and W they have pizza buffet. I love that they serve all of their specialty pizzas on the buffet too and not just the basics. Other reviewers complain about the price, and it IS expensive for pizza. But you can see and taste the quality of the ingredients. I care about the food I put into my body, so for me the cost is worth it. Today I tried the gluten free crust. LOVED it! Very thin/crispy…not at all soggy. I also had vegan cheese, which I don’t normally eat. It wasn’t my favorite but it was completely edible. I will get the GF crust again, definitely.

Awesome food, great environment for kids as well as sports events! The pizza alone is worth it to come and they have a really cool kids area for them to play in with toys and games! Prices are good as well.

The pizza is good. Honestly, I don’t come here for the pizza. I come here when I am with small children. There is a great play area with toys and the dining area is usually pretty open. There is a lot of room to just let the kids go, so you can kind of hang out and enjoy a little down time. I was a little disappointed the last time we came in on a Monday night for dinner with the kids. We stood in line and ordered a large pizza and a few drinks. I was not aware that there was an «all you can eat» pizza special going on that night for $ 9 a person. If I would have known about this option, we probably would have done this and then just ordered one kids meal for less $$. I know the kids that work behind the counter really don’t give 2 sh** but management should tell them to let people know about the specials and promotions before placing their order. This is just good customer service/restaurant industry practice. The pizza is WAY better than any fast food type of pizza. But, not as good as any of the other pizzerias I enjoy eating at in San Diego. Good place to go for kids. This would be a good place for a kid’s sports team party after a game, or any other type of group kid get together. I would probably not do a birthday party here. That is about it… I think they can step up their pizza game for sure.

Awesome pizza! Though prices are a little high. Good family atmosphere and right next to my friends apartment so it’s pretty convenient. Keep it up with the good food!

Let me preface this review by saying that their pizza is really good. If I were to rate the quality of their product alone, I would give them 4.5÷5 stars. The reason for a 2 star review on here is because of #1, the astronomical price for their pizza($ 82 plus tip for 3 large pizzas) and #2, their«large» pizza as advertised on their website is 14″ in diameter. Maybe that diameter is BEFORE it’s cooked or something because realistically it’s more like 12.5″ in diameter(closer to size medium). Love the quality of the pizza, but far overpriced and especially considering they aren’t even truly«large» pizzas.

My favorite pizza in Diego, Love Mountain Mikes! All these people leaving bad reviews are tripping! Not many places have the small crunchy Pepperoni and pizza & toppings are always cooked great! Have been going here for years and plan on going for many more to come. A+++ pizza!

Wow so disappointed in this place how does it have such decent reviews? This is a travesty and misrepresentation of pizza! I ordered about $ 60 worth of food for a party last weekend and everyone(unfortunately) agreed it was pretty terrible. You don’t see many times where tons of pizza is leftover around a hungry group of football fans. The crust is bland and tastes worse than cheap frozen pizza. The sauce is just off, it seems like someone added a bunch of oregano to a can of ketchup. The best comparison I can give to you folks would be «half as good as Costco pizza for 4x the price» Do yourself a favor and order from Bronx, luigis, leftys, hoboken or long island mikes if you want awesome pizza. Mountain mikes sucks at pizza.

Decided to try this place for lunch since it is close to my office. Ordered the chicken parm sandwich to go and it was pretty tasty. I noticed they had a great all you can eat lunch special and I like that they support other local businesses and people in the community. Way to go Mountain Mike’s!

The food was truly bad IMO. The service was fine, ordering over the phone was kind of a pain — we only ordered three things and my boyfriend had to keep repeating himself and pausing to an extreme for the kid who was taking the order to get it down. The food came in the 45 minutes they said it would. We ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, bread sticks, a small pizza and meatballs with pasta. The dough for the pizza and bread sticks is the same and it is tough while being undercooked and flavorless. The toppings were fine and even good but if you have bad crust you’ve ruined the whole pizza. The chicken sandwich was miserable. Not grilled at all, you can tell it’s one of those precooked frozen breasts with the fake grill marks that they pop in the oven so it’s completely rubbery and inedible. The friend who got the pasta said it was fine. I would never order from here again. They should cut down their menu and work on having good crust for their pizza. Which was something like $ 16 for a small personal, way overpriced for the quality.

I called to order a delivery and the girl who answered was very nice. I explain this would be my first time with their restaurant and wasn’t sure what a good size pizza would be for two. She said medium is a good size, so I ordered a medium pizza and bread sticks and my total was $ 30. They said it would be 45 – 65 mins but it only took 35 minutes. I gave the delivery guy two $ 20 bills and he told me he did not have change… So I paid $ 40 for my order. With that being said, the food was good but the medium pizza really isn’t that big at all. Definitely not worth $ 30 let alone the $ 40 that I paid! I would never order from them again.

Price & Service has always been great. Although I don’t eat here often, it’s been a great place to hook up with friends once or twice a year and the ladies always like the salad bar.

Mountain Mike’s pizza is quality! My favorite pizza is San Diego! The ingredients are great, the combos are fantastic. Pizzas are cooked to perfection. My favorite is the Snowy Alps; creamy garlic white sauce with all the meat & veggies. Crust is perfect! Unless you have kids, I would recommend take out. The place can get really noisy & crowded when families show up. Salad bar is your typical buffet style, iceberg lettuce. Decent beer selection. Firefighters /Police get great discounts!

This place has UH-MAZING pizza! We always get the Pikes Peak with white sauce and regular crust. It is BOMB. The service is meh… basically you order at the register and they bring it out to you and that’s really all the interaction you have with the staff. They always have a pretty good variety of local beers(IPA and Ale) on tap and they switch it up often. It’s air conditioned! They have a pretty decent salad bar although honestly I don’t know why you waste your time on lettuce when the pizza is frickin awesome sauce! The décor is eclectic and a good way to pass the time as you wait for your pizza. Lots of pictures and silly signs. We drive all the way from I.B. To have pizza here. If your thinking about pizza, this is the place to get it

My first thought upon entering Mountain Mike’s: ugh, country music. I consider myself to have broad musical tastes, but contemporary country music always sounds to me like a parody of itself. Like someone started a joke that other people continued until people forgot it was a joke. But then the song stopped, everything was right as rain, and I could concentrate on ordering my pizza. Not surprising anyone who has read my other pizza reviews, I ordered the meat pizza. As an interesting touch, Mike’s adds linguica and salami to the standard meat roster found at pizza chains: pepperoni, sausage, beef, and ham. When the pizza finally arrived, I found the intentional placement of the button-like pieces of sausage within the curled up pepperoni to be pretty cute, and the overall layout of the toppings seems to have been done with care. The downside, however, is the overall quantity of dead animal flesh didn’t seem very high considering the fairly premium price for a chain pizza. The picture in the online menu is definitely a misrepresentation. The fact that a medium-size pizza got sliced into 16 tiny slices also struck me as quite odd. That said, the cheese seemed to be pretty high quality – not too greasy. And the real star of the show is clearly the crust, a very bready but not doughy pan style. I’m amazed it took me this long to discover this place. I’ll definitely be back although the price point will keep me from being a regular. Summary: Mike’s a lumberjack and he’s okay.

When I first heard about this place, I thought it was called«Magic Mike’s.» Obviously, I had Channing Tatum on my mind. hehe… Anyway, as per usual my date ordered the«Meat Lovers» special. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of meat, cheese, and sauce. I was even more surprised by how much I enjoyed the crust. My only complaint is that the pizza was left in the oven for a minute or two too long.(Please see picture.) I felt like part of the crust was too crisp and burnt. All in all, you won’t find Channing Tatum here, but at least the pizza is good.

This place is good. I liked my sandwich and I did have some pizza. I was at a meetup and there were people sharing their pizza. I like the In N Out pizza which is like a burger on a pizza. I had the jalapeño poppers and they were good. The sandwich I got was the torpedo on sourdough. It sucks that I couldn’t get AYCE though. It was kind of like all you can eat at the event though.

This is where you go oinkers on pizza. I’ve been to Round Table AYCE. I think this place is actually comparable and their variety is pretty awesome. Came here on a Wednesday with some friends who are regulars. I like heavy topping pizzas and they definitely do so. They have like thinner crust pizzas and they don’t cut the slices too big to allow for you to gorge on variety. The McKinely, which is a veggie one has olives and I like that. Oh, and before I start listing pizzas, I have to judge pizza places by their red sauce. It’s pretty important and flavor of the bread itself. Crusts aren’t too big but not always consistent of course. I also say the sauce is good! Got some flavor cause I hate pizza sauces where it just tastes like bland tomato soupish without any herbs etc. Pineapple chicken luau isn’t bad either. I don’t like chicken on my pizza, I know that’s odd but sometimes the plain chicken breast meat would kill the pizza taste. It’s not that bad actually but I think Diamond Head is better cause of the ham! My one friend really LOVES the Chicken Club. The staff working there seem pretty chill. I think also it helps that my friends are regulars. They also have a salad bar if your stomach/palette needs a break from all that pizza. Probably want some veggies to help you pass that pizza through the system. If you’re gonna run a marathon or half, you could eat here instead of doing traditional pasta? haha Powered by pizza! It’s not a glamorous set up but it’s not dirty either. They seem to be good about cleaning up the tables. I mean it’s an AYCE place after all. They have some TVs in there too.
