Papa John’s Pizza

I have to admit this is not my first choice for pizza however during the storm we had delivery and it was really good.
We ordered the online special for two pizzas for $ 12. One pepperoni and mushrooms and the other pepperoni and sausage. Normally their pizzas don’t have enough sauce or toppings however this order was perfect.
Each pie had the perfect amount of sauce to complement the dough and cheese. I didn’t even need to use the extra sauce, crushed red pepper or cheese I asked for.
The toppings were plentiful as each bite had several pieces of mushrooms pepperoni or sausage. There was an added bonus as the sausage was spicy. What a lovely hint of flavor in each bite. Even the crust was well cooked as I found myself eating it… I never eat pizza crust.
I don’t know if this was a fluke or not however I may have to add Papa John’s back to my list for pizza.

They so do not deserve the one star.
I was trying to order over the phone for a larger pizza and wings.
However, the inconsiderate lady made it seem like her job was soooo hard .
She kept calling me dude. And being rude.
I realized they do not deserve my money and the last pizza i received was greasy.
I had to use extra napkins to take off the extra greasy !!!
So if you like bad service and nasty pizza please, by all means ENJOY.
Otherwise, call mountain mikes.

Love the pizza, but this is the 3^rd time I needed plates and cheese and peppers and they don’t ever have it or no longer provide it. Going somewhere else now sadly.

Waiting over an hour for a pizza when they say it will only be 30 min. Then calling only for them to be extremely rude.

Absolutely horrible! Spent the better part of a half hour attempting to order a pizza on-​line and it kept resetting after I put all of my pizza order AND payment info ii then when trying to pay it resets everything! Complete failure, I guess there in the pizza business and haven’t invested in a good IT department yet. When I tried to call I kept being put on hold for so long I would just hang up and call back, finally we just gave up. This place needs a lot of work and based on the other reviews Ive seen on here they have problems in more areas then an be mentioned here. The drive to Bronx Pizza will have to suffice until we get a good local place that can deliver.

Lame place couldn’t even help me with their punk ass app or atleast honor the price. So we took our business to dominoes instead so disappointed.

Starving people in Africa would turn this slop away…

Called this location, they said they don’t deliver to my location. Called the location they recommended, they also don’t deliver to this location. Had papa johns last week, at my current location. Thanks for the help…

Came in to order pizza for carry out. The guy with the tattoo on his left arm was not that friendly and his customer service skills needs work. He also gave me my credit card receipt to sign, but did not even wait for me to sign it so he can put it in his register. That could be a loss.

Doesn’t accept San Diego 50% off coupon code. Delivery often takes over an hour. Come on, step up your pizza game, son.

The service here is worse than appalling! I have been to this papa johns twice and had bad service both times. The first time I was a walk in and though I was the only customer there I was told the wait time would be 15 minutes. 35 minutes later my pizza arrived. The second time I phoned in and was told the wait time would be 15 minutes. I did a 10 minute drive to the bank had 10 minutes in the ⁷⁄₁₁ buying milk gas etc. Then 5 minutes to papa johns where I was told my pizza would be ready in 15 minutes. No line and 9 at night! 20 minutes later the pizza. Don’t go to papa johns in Claremont. Rather drive on to little caesers where the pizzas are ready on time and only half the price!

Pizza was burnt, sent it back to make another one & didn’t come out much better… UGH!

My favorite pizza place for Carry out. They always get my order correct unlike Pizza Hut.
Only negative I have to say is the female manger is a real bitch.
She was yelling & scolding the employees as if they were dogs. Very inappropriate, especially when customers are listening.

Online ordering is great an special deals are good. We always pick up except last night. Had to call an check if we missed the delivery after an hour. Dude said 5 to 7 min. Which turned into 20 min, nice tip but ALL THE FOOD WAS STONE COLD. Never again for delivery. Called customer service to notify, she was very apologetic, she stated the owner would be calling. We’ll see.

Negative stars! I ordered a pizza and called back after an hour to find out the ETA no order existed for me. I really don’t appreciate someone taking information from me and I guess just figuring I didn’t really want the pizza. I will never order from here or any Papa Johns. I just moved to Claremont from Carlsbad and this is just another reason this city sucks!

It’s fast food pizza
When doing carry out it would be nice if they has a sign on the door saying you have to be buzzed in instead of pulling on it looking like a moron.
Pizza is good if you know the ordering tricks but delivery takes forever I’m less than 2 miles away.
Apple Cinnamon pie is what keeps me hooked

I’ve been trying to order pizza from this location and I seriously hate their customer service. For one, I live within their supposed 3 mile radius for delivery, yet they will not deliver to my home. I literally live 2.3 miles away. What a joke!
I decided to give them another shot today and called in for carryout service. I told them there was a deal online and the kid who picked up the phone was not only NOT helpful, he was also rude. I asked if they could honor their online deal for carryout and his response was this, «Online deals are for online orders only. That’s why they’re online. I don’t have any coupon codes to help you. You can place the order online.»
That to me this is poor customer service. This was the second strike for me and I will never attempt to do business at this location. They need to make sure they hire people with better customer service skills and they change their ridiculous policy in regards to not delivering to my location.
I will continue to order from Pizza Hut and Domino’s because they at least know how to treat you right and actually deliver!

The guys that work at this Papa John’s remember me and I seriously don’t eat pizza that much. I mean seriously! I think that’s pretty cool. I always carry-​out since I live very close, so I have no delivery experience. However they are very nice and I’ve never had a problem with a messed up order here. They have even thrown in free stuff sometimes, which is pretty cool (ie. the YUMMY garlic sauce)
I think it helps that Papa John’s is my favorite and that I’m nice to people when I go to restaurants, but I love this one. That’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it :)

FAIL FAIL FAIL!!!
Ordered online, called the store to make a change, paid online, store wanted me to pay again!!! Drove home, printed receipt sent by Papa Johns AND a page from my bank statement, still wanted me to pay again… Then the ass behind the counter wanted to tell me that I was never charged, even with my bank statement in hand!!!
Seems like this is not the first time with GREG!!! See below, Mary W. s review on 4÷30÷12. I still do not have my credit and I will not ever order from this location as long as this ass is there.

I ordered pizza from here last night. Let me rephrase that. I TRIED to order pizza from here last night for delivery. The estimated time was 30 – 35 minutes. I’m not a stickler for delivery times, but after waiting for over an hour my girlfriend called to ask about the order. They had my name, but delivered the pizza to some random address. They also had my phone number. When they delivered the pizza to the wrong address wouldn’t making a call to the customer make sense?
On the phone they seemed ignorant with regard to the situation and were not willing to work out a solution. In the midst of frustration my girlfriend canceled the order and we did what we should have done in the first place… got pizza from Voltero’s.
