I’ve been to this location several times and I’ll be honest I don’t expect much. It is a typical fast food place. At first I received your basic average service which is fine for fast food. Lately the place has gotten worse especially lack of service. Whenever I go through the drive-​thru and get to the last window I usually am not greeted, or thanked for my business. Its very impersonable. Typically I wouldn’t mind for fast food; I’m just trying to get a quick bite. But this last time really brought me over the edge. It was the worse McDonald’s experience I’ve ever had.
I went through the drive thru and I orderd two 4 piece McNuggets Large coke McDouble & Small fries at the drive-​thru. I asked the lady at the window how much my order was and she said «I don’t know, I didn’t take your order’ in a grumpy tone. I hear someone the background say $ 9.56 which I thought was a bit hight. So I asked how is it $ 9.56 and again she says «I don’t know, I didn’t take your order. Another lady walks up who I believe is the manager because they had a nicer looking uniform gives me my receipt already had charged my card. The receipt had two 4 piece McNuggets cost $ 4.78. I asked the lady aren’t the 4 piece McNuggets $ 1 each and she said «no» in a condescending tone as if I were a moron for thinking $ 1 4 piece McNuggets were possible. I stated that there is a sign at the drive-​thru that states they are $ 1 and she replied «no, that must be coming soon. We have a 20 piece for $ 5, but none for $ 1 so I don’t get why you didn’t just do that. I told the lady that it didn’t state that anywhere on the sign and that if I had known they didn’t have any $ 1 4 piece McNuggets I would have ordered the $ 20. She ended up giving me the $ 20 piece since she had already charged my card. When I left the drive-​thru I drove by the sign on my way out of the parking lot and clearly saw the sign that said «Everyday Value Menu» and right in the middle «4 Piece McNuggets $ 1.» I am a bit upset at the rude service and lack of knowledge. I understand not knowing recent promotions but to treat me like an idiot is unnecessary. She even admitted herself that I could of gotten a 20 piece for the cost I paid for the 4 piece McNuggets. Since she saw that why didn’t she suggest that to me the first place instead of waiting to show me the receipt. Not only did I waste my time discussing the matter with her I wasted money I didn’t plan on spending. I understand it’s only a few bucks, but its a few bucks I gave away only in return to get a bad experience.

This place is always crazy busy for a reason… it’s always good. The prices are reasonable, especially when compared to the McD’s in RB! The food is fresh and the service is friendly and fast.

They weren’t very good at taking my app coupons and actually took my phone inside when I was at the drive thru. This was odd and troubling for me. I’m glad they did not drop or dirty it.

Did not get what I ordered. Geez, I ordered the maple bacon burgers because of the bacon. And none of my burgers had bacon. Granted, one was without sauce, and the other without onions, but both should have had bacon. Maybe the employees were too busy protesting minimum wage this week and fell asleep at their job! I surely would not pay them $ 15 per hour if this is the level of intelligence I get at the drive-​through.

I rarely go to McDonald’s anymore and when I do, I get a Happy Meal (judge not…). I’ve only used the drive-​thru at this location and have never had any issues. The line does get a bit long during the lunch hour, even on the weekends. There is occasionally a slight traffic situation, as McD shares their parking with Chase Bank customers so you’ll get a car from the bank trying to exit from the line of drive-​thru customers (did that even make sense?) Wait time has been fairly minimal, food has always been hot and orders have been correct. I’m lovin’ it.

Horrible. Sprite was soda water. It’s not hard to change the concentrate for soda. It was super slow. No reason the soda should be out.

Dont go to Drive Thru at night. Theyre super slow. Slowest service ever in my life. Slower than Hawaii McDonalds #terrible

This is one of the few McDonalds in North County that has started serving breakfast all day. I have been lamenting for years that breakfast is the best part of the McDonalds’ menu but I never had time in the morning hours or was awake to enjoy it. Finally corporate McDonalds is listening to reason and serving many popular breakfast items all day.
The entire breakfast menu is not available all day but here are the options available at this location:
Egg Mcmuffin $ 3.79

Sausage Burrito $ 1.19

I am rating this as a 1 star because they only accept cash after 3 am. I do not care whether the computers are up and running or not. There are many people who strictly only use debit or credit cards. And to turn away customers because of not having cash only, is a huge loss of reliable customers. Very very very poor choice from a business standpoint.

Ok I am not a very big fan of McDonald’s and the last time I was here, they couldn’t get my coffee right, but I will say that whom ever the guy was at the window at 430am did a good job, was polite and cheerful. I still don’t care about the food, but it worked at that time of the morning.

My son wanted a chicken nugget kids meal & had only this to eat, which resulted in him being sick. He was not well to attend school the following day. I notified the location, and requested a manager to call me back. After a week with no call back I decided to let them know via feedback on the McD’s website. I finally got a call from Richard who owns that location who was not apologetic & just asked me what I wanted…
Terrible. We have not returned to any McDonalds since this occurred. Not worth having my child vomiting in bed. The worst part is we paid for this. The least he could have done was issue a full refund. Never again.

I went into the store to do a simple transaction — buy a $ 5 gift card. It ended up being the most confusing experience I’ve ever had with McDonald’s.
First, I told the cashier that I wanted to buy a gift card. Then, I chose the gift card that I liked. My total was $ 1.39, but I didn’t know what for the cashier already totaled the transaction and was telling me very rudely that it had to be a separate transaction and it couldn’t be purchased altogether. I asked her, «to buy a gift card?» She kept a straight look and angrily said, «Yes, swipe the card.» I swiped my debit card and it was charged $ 1.39, still not knowing what it was for until she pulled the receipt out and started a new transaction. She then instructed me to swipe the card, so I swiped the gift card and then she looked at me like I was dumb. She instructed me to swipe my debit card, I did as she said, some manager-​looking man came by and seemed to ask her what was going on, but she just dismissed him. Then, she told me to swipe again. I asked to make sure, «swipe my debit card?» She responded with, «Yes, it didn’t go through.» So, I swiped my debit card for the 3^rd time and then a receipt for $ 5.00 came out. She started a 3^rd transaction and then instructed me to swipe the gift card, which then printed out the activation. Then, she turned around and gave me a dipped cone.
Apparently my first transaction was a dipped cone that I NEVER even asked for or was told that I had purchased! So the $ 5 gift card I purchased ended up being $ 6.39. TERRIBLE SERVICE!

I’ve been going to this McDonald’s for years and my waste line reflects this fact… I believe when you walk into it drive through any McDonald’s you should receive consistency in food and service. That being said, this particular location is above and beyond the best within the Rancho Bernardo/​Poway area — hands down. Through you’ll find that there are always people in the dining area taking advantage of the free wifi — this location is always very clean and the service is always spot on. I always get what I’ve ordered without any issues, extra sauces that I’ve asked for as well as napkins! The only problem that I have with this location is that it is in a busy area which at times does get hard to get to or find parking but they really can’t control it.

Very nice and new McDonald’s. The only problem I have with this location is that they don’t sell the $ 4 mini meals at all. Also, i had an experience when in the drive thru once where I was told my total and I made the exact change and when I arrived at the window to pay the total was changed because tax wasn’t added to the first total I was told, so that annoyed me and has never happened to me before.

It’s McDonald’s. It’s cleaner than the other ones in the area. Took some stars out because although they have no control over it, a homeless individual came in with a cup and started drinking from the soda fountain. The stench was a bit unbearable. Made me rethink what I ordered. But that’s not why I docked two stars.
Minus two stars because their ordering area is a tad small. And they kind of don’t give you a receipt and they just yell out your orders. During hectic hours with many people ordering, the area can get a bit confusing.

I never write a review unless its like good. This place got me to do my first negative review lol…
THIS PLACE SUCKS! IF I DIDNT LIVE LITERALLY RIGHT NEXT TO IT I WOULDNT GO HERE!.. This place always fucks up my order. And its funny cause its not that fuckin hard to get somebodys order right (i work at coffee shop part time)
Here are some examples:
1) my dad always orders a Double Hamburger. so just two patties and bun and we always clarify NO CHEESE. what do we get? double hamburger with fuckin cheese AND the funny thing is they put the checked twice for accuracy thing or whatever to make it look like they got there shit right but it wasnt hahaha!
2) couple day ago i got medium french fries and ask for ranch. also got large sweet tea with 5 creamers off on the side. I didnt get the ranch and five creams. i had to wait in line to ask for them again cause they wouldnt let me just go up and say hey yo you fogot something again…
3) my favorite one, today i ordered couple drinks and two Pumpkin Pies. i originally ordered two of the holiday pies but they said its going to take two minutes to make so i said nvm cause i noticed cars were starting to get in line so i was like just give me the two pumpkins cause i assumed they already made. so then i get my food and go home, i then opened my bag and saw two pumpkin pie covers BUT INSIDDDEEE (heres the funny part) it turns out to be two apple pies hahaha! im guessing they ran out? and decided to put apple instead inside of a pumpkin pie cover so they wouldnt get caught? it worked lol.
In conclusion: I dont like this mcdonalds cause they never get my shit right. Amen. Peace.

This McDonald’s location deserves 4 starts, especially since the remodeling that took place last year or so. Service is fast and efficient and they are always cleaning, so everything in this site looks immaculate. Some years ago looked like a very run down place, now is very modern, AC is on all the time, mix of people here, not only kids or grandpas and the terrace outside has clean modern tables to enjoy.
