Their sandwiches are super yummie! It’s a little over priced to me but pretty good. I think it’s family owned and I have had pretty good service, sometimes I feel second to whatever task they are doing. Took like 10mins to get a bagel…

Extremely rude people working here especially the man at the cashier. Would NOT recommend nor would I ever come here again!!! I really wonder how do they survive their business with such horrible customer service!

Great Thursday special. Lasagne, salad and garlic bread. The sauce is great and the service is always friendly, the owners are so nice!

I’ve only had a couple things here. The chicken pesto sandwich and the bacon breakfast croissant were both good. I didn’t like the cream of potato soup however. It would be nice if the prices were a little bit lower.

I recently just got a job right down the street from this deli and was looking for a good place to get lunch! I actually did not want to come to this deli at first because of all the negative reviews but I am very happy now that I have tried it and will continue to go!
The food here is actually really good! I had the opportunity to try the California Chicken Sandwich and it was delicious!
I am not exactly quite too sure why people keep complaining about the customer service because when I came all the workers were very respectful, courteous, and kind. I asked for recommendations from the lady who makes the sandwiches and it turned out great!
5 stars for not judging a book by its cover and actually trying out the place :)

Came in at 9:30 when it wasn’t busy and ordered the Sunrise Sandwich. I had a simple request for an extra egg and no muffin, which the kind chef accommodated for an extra dollar. When I get to the register, the gentleman charges me for a burrito. I explain what I actually got, and he gets this disgruntled look on his face and asks who told me the price. And after all that, there’s eggshells in my food! Only credit is that this place is next to my work, but I’d rather go down the street for better service.

Location– A– right by my office
Staff– A– friendly and helpful
Prices– A– very reasonable
Food
Chicken– A– not dry, very tender and the sauce was good
Rice– A– it had the same sauce on it.
Salad– A– Fresh and good portion.
The reason it didn’t rate higher was the food didn’t blow me away, but it was good. I’ll be back.

I have no clue why this place has bad reviews!!! The food is ethnic and different and interesting. always has some sort of new recipe thrown in and tastes fabulous! Sam and Myriam are amazing and customer service @ its’ finest! Fresh ceveche, native Indian recipes, pulled pork, comfort food. YUM. Their sauces and dishes are always homemade, their soups are to die for… If I could give MORE stars, I would! Fabulous place :)

If I could give this place 0 stars I would! Do not even waste your time here. I work right around the corner and thought this place would be sufficient for a quick sandwich. Could not be more wrong. First of all, everything is overpriced. The man that works the register (maybe the owner I don’t know) is completely rude! On 3 separate occasions he «accidentally» gave me the incorrect change back… I wonder how many people let this go unnoticed and how much he is «accidentally» collecting. If you don’t know how to count then don’t operate the register. The only reason I continue to step foot in this place is because my boss loves the tortilla soup they have here. Everything else is disgusting. Slimy meat and crunchy bread, no thanks, I would rather drive the extra 2 miles to Vons down the street and satisfy my belly and get my money’s worth for what I’m ordering.

Yuk. This was my second time going here for lunch – there will not be a third. Both times I ordered a sandwich, the first time a roast beef, and this time a turkey. Both times I lost my appetite just looking at the food which appears slimy and sloppily put together. Maybe their other food is better, but I will NEVER return here for another sandwich.

I went in today for a PB&J … Peanut Butter and Jelly. I’m not sure if the staff knows how to prepare a PB&J, because I was almost sent away with toasted bread and some «to-​go» jelly packets. The really rude lady asked me how many jelly packets I wanted. I didn’t realize that I had to make my sandwich myself. She told me she would put the jelly on the sandwich (if I wanted). I told her please and to also put the peanut butter on it. Amazing that someone can actually screw up a PB&J.
The owner is a very nice lady, but somewhat clueless to the antics of her staff. I gave her a piece of my mind today, but I don’t think that will make a difference in the attitude and service her staff gives.
Considering that this is walking distance from my office, I wish the food was better and the staff were nicer.

5 star specials! Just noticed that last post about the specials at Governor Executive Deli and they are first rate, especially the lentil special on Friday — it is crazy delicious and enough to feed you for lunch and dinner! I can’t speak for breakfast or the sandwiches, but I love this place because the specials are personal recipes cooked from scratch. This lady should open a restaurant, her cooking is that good.

A small deli walking distance from my work. Prices are a bit high. I asked them what was their best sandwich. And she made me the Super Californian which consist of Turkey, Bacon, & Cheddar Cheese w/​Avocado and mustard. I’ve tasted better sandwiches and that was their best one??? It tasted like something I can make at home.
I have not tried the breakfast yet. But hey it’s walking distance so I give it 2 stars.

As a result of my visit to this deli I would most likely look for other options fist before ordering breakfast here.
My small order took well over 20 minutes to cook, and by cook, I mean microwave. Eggs, bacon, sausage, all got the same treatment.
However, this place has a very extensive lunch menu; it may be worthwhile to check it out.

Nice little Deli right in walking distance from where I work.
A good selection of sandwiches and wraps.
Also a good variety of chips, salads, drinks, soups, even candy.
My favorite lately is the Greek Wrap! The selections are a little pricey but the portions are pretty darn big.
The service is always fast and friendly.
