Great food here at tender greens but HORRIBLECOFFEE… I love that they have tender greens here in stead of some lame chain, but come on guys… put some effort into coffee/espresso to at least live up to the quality of your food.

YUCK. The dressing on the Romaine salad is basically inedible. The blueberry scone probably sat there for a week(or more). The cashier was suppppppper slow and asked the same questions over and over.

I know I’m at the airport however it is te beginning of the dinner hour, I sit down and wait for a server and menu. Not a long wait… good start, place isn’t busy. Ordered the Pinot Gris from the menu, sorry don’t have that, okay, I’ll have a Sam Adams Seasonal nope don’t have that, okay a Stella. Good okay, dinner. What’s on the cheese plate? … Don’t have that today(on the blackboard), beef quesadilla? Nope(also on the board) an eraser might come in handy right about now… Okay, I’ll have the organic kale salad, yes. Yay! Guy sits down next to me, orders a vodka tonic with lime, no limes, okay lemon? Nope. End of review.

I ate here flying from SD to LAX because it is the only restaurant in the commuter terminal. I first ordered a pomegranate mojito(on their menu) but was told that they were out of pomegranate flavoring. Ok– I got a regular mojito. The mojito was un-drinkable. They didn’t muddle the leaves– just put them on top. It tasted like they didn’t add any sugar or lime. Luckily they were quick to comp the drink when we spoke to them about it. For food I ordered the cheese quesadilla– it was ok. I wouldn’t eat here again– I’d try to get lunch outside of the airport first.

Pros: cool new nice place. Healthy options. Great pastries and awesome chocolate croissants. Cons: no Splenda for your coffee. They need to be overtaken by Starbucks just for that. The terminal’s free WiFi is only 30 minutes and there’s no other free WiFi at this location. Fix those 2 things and you get a star for each. Keep it consistent and you’ll be worthy of the 5th star.

Stick to the drinks! Food is plastic and tasteless however the prices are exorbitant! I had the chicken panini which was small and came with an excuse for a salad consisting of a few wilted lettuce leaves smothered in a vinaigrette. The panini was dry and tasteless. For the pleasure paid $ 12.

Very rude cashiers, couldn’t understand anything she said. At least there’s snacks at the newsstand to tide you over

Rustic chicken soup was good hearty and lots of flavor . This is a Welcome addition to commuter terminal. Clean space with a bar, it offers nice place to grab grub or snacks and coffee while waiting for flight . Staff was really helpful and attentive!

Ordered a flank steak. Super small portion in terms of meat. for $ 13, this was definitely a rip off. One of my pet peeves is when the restaurants short me on meat because I am a big meat eater. AND the whole dish was soaked in oil! My second pet peeve. The bottom of the dish was covered with oil so I had to use a napkin to wipe it all off. I would give this place 1 star but they are getting 2 stars because of the super awesome waitress lady Jenny. Too bad this is the only restaurant in this commuter terminal There are plugs here to charge your phone and what not.

A jewel in the Commuter terminal of San Diego Airport. Stopped in for breakfast. Had a delicious panini with breakfast potatoes, coffee and an orange juice. Very clean and modern with many breakfast choices, all of looked delicious.

The food here is great. Especially their salads. Interesting and delicious ingredients which are fresh. Salads include artisanal cheeses, fruit, nuts, and vegetables with arugula and other mixed greens. Their chicken soup was good and their chicken panini sand which was also good.

Pleasantly surprised by this place. For an airport eatery, no complaints. Breakfast panini was outstanding!

For an Airport eatery, its very good. Prices are decent(they are NOT expensive when you consider the rent they’d pay), full bar, good selection of food and decent atmosphere to sit and wait out your flight in. Employees are OK, friendly, but a bit hover-ish.

Tender Greens is such an incredible addition to the commuter terminal! Used to have to slum it here; grab a beer out if the cooler if you wanted to have a drink, Now, there’s salmon, Panninis, salads. Interesting breakfasts, and some quality wines, beer and spirits. Was trying to decide between the cab or Pinot, but the gal next to me said the blend was great, so tried it — and it was!

Next time you find yourself in the commuter terminal of the San Diego airport, come early and hungry enough to eat… I believe this is one of the newest restaurants in the airport, and everything was so fresh and tasty. You definitely don’t want to go into your flight feeling all sluggish and full from eating something too fatty and greasy, so this place is perfect. We ordered our food at the counter, and it was brought out to our table. Very friendly and helpful. I got the salmon panini with avocado and a side salad, the combination was awesome!!! So flavorful and tasty! Hubby tried the salmon with roasted veggies and Mary’s Chicken. Cooked just right and seasoned perfectly. Felt good eating healthy too! Definitely worth trying.

This is the only option in the commuter terminal but it is good quality(at least what I had). Spinach salad was really good, although they could have been less stingy with the amount of chicken. You order from the cash register and then they bring it out, sort of like a cafeteria. But the guy behind the cash register went out of his way to be friendly. He came back around and asked me if everything was good and then he had my plate cleaned up as soon as I was done. For a captive airport audience, this was well above average.

Just finished my salmon panini here, and pretty happy with it. Very fresh and tasty, with roasted red peppers and a garlic aioli, it comes with a side salad, and is very reasonanly priced. As fellow Unilocalers have stated, this is the only restaurant in the commuter terminal at the San Diego airport, but it is entirely adequate. Writing this review as I sip on my coffee at this restaurant, and wait for my flight to board. The rotisserie chicken and grassfed beef are pretty good too, and you have the option to get either of those on a panini as well.

Flying out of the commuter terminal you only get one restaurant and this is it but, be happy this is what you get. The bartender is great and the food is fresh and reasonably priced for the airport. The basil lemonade with vodka is delicously dangerous. Breakfast burrito was great too. They have a ton of local SD craftbeers and it makes for a great bar to kill time before your flight. Cheers and happy travels!

This is the only restaurant in the commuter terminal… I had a delicious dinner of grilled salmon and roasted winter veggies! See my photo… the staff was fantastic.
